    I retired 18 months ago from Citroen dealership,there was an extended warranty on the pump/tank.fitted loads of tanks to all models .fitted four tanks to one vehicle due to not being made right(bad batch.)always tried to get them under warranty,Citroen always paid up as long as I crossed the tees etc.

    worth using adblue direct from the pump like diesel as its not exposed to sunlight / stored incorrectly so wont crystallise, will help prevent ad blue faults

      @@kerbsidemobilemechanic if there's no way the ad blue could leak there then I can only assume its an old spillage. We recently had a large barrel of water go over in the back and that must have rehydrated it.

    Was that 16L of clear liquid you poured away ? Is that Adblue ? …why’s it called Adblue ? BTW baz Meredith says you deserve a medal 🥇 working outside in all weathers and crawling around on the floor

      Yeah that was the Adblue, tbh I’m not entirely sure, it’s “proper” name is DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) but I think Blue is “eco friendly” and the main man Baz is spot on 😂

    Adblue is the biggest bend over con going. One example: 07 Volvo truck. Adblue pump packed up and wasn't replaced straight away because it was a fortune. This was pre everything programmed to go into limp mode unlike now! 7 months not working truck running great. Adblue tank still full from last fill up and now it's looking all white and crystallised round neck, cap and what's inside looking a bit cruddy! Went for an mot at a Ministry test centre. Guy commented that adblue gauge showed full which made a change. He put the emissions probe in top of stack pipe and revved it up like normal high rpm. I said what was that like? He said readings are always low with adblue vehicles and this truck is no exception but you have to go through the motions?! It's all a load of bollox and just a con. Vehicles after that are programmed and designed to go into limp mode for anything. So you have no choice but to get it looked at and repaired and manufacturers charge fortunes knowing your vehicle is useless without the bits!!!

    Could i ask why you didnt change the leaking flexy exhaust as this will be giving improper nox sensor readings? also why not show it running with no faults after repair? great video again though.

    • @kerbsidemobilemechanic
      @kerbsidemobilemechanic  6 місяців тому +1

      Yeah that’s on the list to get done but obviously wanted the main issue resolved first and at £1600 I can’t blame him. Yeah I didn’t finish off the video very well tbh and no outgrow as the company needed to go make deliveries, but yeah it’s all sorted and been running great thanks mate 👍🏼

  • @vincentking5122
    @vincentking5122 6 місяців тому +1

    That big hole in the exhaust by the clamp will cause pressure problems as most of the adblue will leak out and not do its job,van will then set a pressure fault in the exhaust/dpf/adblue system🤔

    • @kerbsidemobilemechanic
      @kerbsidemobilemechanic  6 місяців тому

      I don’t think so no, as once it’s out of the injector there isn’t anything measure adblue pressure, but yeah you’re probably right about the loss of adblue and it technically not doing its job fully
