WW2 in Real Time is an Onlion Entertainment GmbH format written by Indy Neidell, produced and directed by Spartacus Olsson and Astrid Deinhard.
Narrated by Indy Neidell.
"You can use the timestamps to move to the event of your interest". How about if i just watch all of it
Haha same
I feel like its disrespectful to use any of the time stamp, he worked on an 1 hour video then some people watch only the timestamp.
Why hunt onions if you can watch the whole video? I mean, you don't need onions if you don't need timestamps.
"That's crazy, there's so much here to take in all at once"
HOW ABOUT I DO, ANYWAY
I did. In one breath :)
2:10 "they reach the river both north and south of pzemysl"
*WW1 conrad von hotzendorf flashback*
Conrad, my son, you are now the leader of the Austro-Hungarian Armed forces and part of the army has been encircled near Pzemysl, will you either: Ask the Germans for help in their front, avoiding the Carpathian mountains/Let the encircled troops surrender after delaying the enemy or will you attack the Russian positions at the Carpathian mountains during winter?
Conrad:
...
>Cut to Austro-Hungarian soldiers dying of frost and to Russian machine guns in the Carpathian mountains
@@marco5916 Russians: *Are actually being somewhat competent*
Indy Neidell sure loves to flex about being able to pronounce Przemysl
@@timmccarthy872 It's literally the easiest word to pronounce lol, lots of people can pronounce it :P
And speaking of World War I, did you know that the battle of France from World War II has the same events as the one from World War I.
I love how the invasion of Poland sounds like a sport narrator while the Russian front sounds like a documentary

@@michaeljaquez4737 ha, I see what you did there!
Why do people keep saying "thanks for the likes"? The ones who liked your comment simply agree with what you said. It's not about you. Nobody "liked" you in this context.
@@juppheinekken3465 a lil’ harsh, but yeah.
I really liked the way you described all the wars and battles within a specific time period, instead of a single war. Keep up the good work!
Everyone in the comments just saying Indy’s commentary is like sport commentary.

Hey pal.👋👋 Where do i even start? 🤔 Great comment, Good structure and most important of all. It’s made with passion 👏 Keep up the good work😁😁
I prefer Eastory narrating, just saying.
Yes, I agree.
Yep... This guy has a good and clear voice but sounds like someone commentating a boxing match in the 60's or something.
Same here. Indy Neidell hates comments that go against the mainstream official narrative of WW2. Dont want to look at his channel any more or hear him here.
Yep same, Eastory is just so chill and clear. Especially when he says "all out attack".
@@ramagon234 this video is a cutout videos of him talking ofc its gonna be like this... He just cut out part of his videos that has his maps
I liked this just as much as your Eastern Front videos; the detailed animation showing the positions and movements of each unit is incredible. The amount of research needed must be colossal, but the result is greatly appreciated by myself and (so far) 28,000 other viewers.
Might be late but true..
Sorry but, I kinda like the original narration by Eastory better. But still a good video.
I like the Eastory narrator but Indy is pretty awesome.
Too bad the audia is not synched properly
@@suisso14 It's more an issue of trying to cut out all the stuff from the episode that doesn't pertain to the map/military movement, when some deliveries are referencing other stuff and so it comes off really weirdly. I wish he had narrated it for this video, even if more vaguely
the voice of the narrator in the video is similar to the voice of the radio ww2
The fact that it's a collection of different clips makes the audio a bit odd... could you revoice it yourself Eastory, when you have free time, in ten years?
Other than that, of course, the video is great :)
Just watch the ww2 channel
Eastory's voice and narration is like golden honey.

I was waiting for this. I'm so glad you did this. I like this part of the episodes and was hoping they would be put together.
As fellow Estonian, proud to see your channel is doing good and your collab with Time Ghost History is amazing, really helps to give the perspective how front lines moved turing the war.
He talks as if he is commenting on some sport.
Nice username
I still can't get over he says "ReEeEeEd Army"
Out of context it does sound odd, in the actual videos (which I recommend) he's just trying to convey the frantic pace with which of the events occur.
that is the best way to describe it
@The Valkist Fascists fuck off
Mr. Eastory. I'll have you know I have been subbed to you for a while now, even before WW2. And I immediately thought of this channel when I first saw the maps in WW2 channel, and jumped with joy to realize you were involved. Fantastic work, and I must say this work is what makes WW2 channel so much easier to understand than WW1, as for WW1 channel I had to pull up google maps to see where the places exactly were. Also when the maps were later added, they were not as conveniently animated to really get a glimpse of the speed and scale it happened. Perhaps it is less documented in WW1 to draw such detailed map, but regardless, you raised the quality of what is already very high of WW2 channel. Thank you very much!
Definitely want the next years! That was brilliant. Good work! Can't wait for the rest
The amount of details in this channel's videos are awe inspiring.
Love it! The map parts are the best parts of the WW2 Videos
I love your seamless transition between fronts. As well as the geopolitical details each week. Good job.
Fantastic job.
Thank you VERY much for creating/posting this.
I'm gonna be honest here... This was amazing! Love the maps, love the information from all theaters around the globe!
Thanks for blessing us with this masterpiece.
I can always recognise Eastory's work by its high quality in the weekly WW2 episodes. Keep it up!
Amazing video! Great stuff and fantastic information and imagery provided in the video. Please continue to do more years of WWII in this way!
Great work!
ok
55 minutes of Eastory map animations compiled into 1 video, this is a great day :)
I've been on UA-cam since over 10 years and this got to be the best of all.
Fifty-five minutes of moving maps! I was wondering if You would indeed do this: combining all Your WWII maps into this dense format, and You did! And not only Europe, every theatre, even China, in chronological order, that is extra super! Yes, pls continue this formate, this is most excellent work!
Well you are one of the best map animators and come to my list of best animators of map. Keep doing.
Great work! I see so much improvement and effort in this long video, it probably took months to make! You deserve over 1 million subs! I have high respect to everyone who was working on this long and hard project!
Fantastic video. You're doing a great job man, thank you for all your work and effort to provide such quality content for free
Awesome format!! Loved it. Looking forward to the next one.
I'm truly impressed with this hard work 👌
Too bad the Battle of the Grebbeberg isn't mentioned although in the grand scheme of this I understand and impressed by the amazing results achieved here (I mean Eastery's animations, and to some certain extent the German offensive as well).
Maybe they could check out your channel for that😁
Even though the battle itself is important from dutch viewpoint, in itself it really eas just a sideshow, so with their limited resources (especially what they had back then) i think it was a good idea zo leave it out. Overall this period with the early stages of barbarossa are between the most intense part of the war, so i hope that when at the end they will make something to deliver a lot of important details missed in the rush.
I wished it was. Very informative to see in-real-time on maps. Same wish for the attack on the Moerdijk-bridges, Dordrecht- and Rotterdam which spans four days. There is a lot written, but nothing really easily visualised.
@@tjokflots look up the NIMH Nederlands instituut voor militaire historie. Zijn ook op UA-cam en visualiseren het ook.

MASTERPIECE: Sept 1939 - Aug 1940 - so many events happened and changed the world so much in 1 year.
It’s a shame this channel and the world war 1/2 channels are underlooked they deserve more attention
Just got here, first video in the channel, and only with the intro you gained my subscribe man... what a nice video.
Rather ambitious project. There is a lot to cover if one is going to go through all events in World War Two in real time like this and at this level of detail. A great thing to watch.
This is awesome, brilliant work! Thank you. Something I've noticed though is that sometimes the division icons are disproportionately to the other, such as with japan and China. It might be due to the size and strength of the division, but that's debatable because french, german, Norwegian, and British icons were even. In tandem, it could be a combination of many division into larged groups to reduce animation costs. It's not that serious, but it might be misleading of the actual strength of the army.
Thats all folks, thanks for reading!
@G E T R E K T He did not show that the USSR had been at war with Japan since the spring of 1939, and it was only when the war with Japan ended, the USSR entered Poland.
Chinese units were far smaller than Japanese units. IIRC a Chinese division often only had 5,000 to 6,000 men, compared to the 20,000+ men of a Japanese division.
I love all your content but the editing on this one is awkward.
Enthalpy obviously, because it has been taken Out of context. If you want the context, you should watch World War 2s Videos (you should watch them anyways, because they are great)
What about it was awkward? I didn’t really see anything wrong

For example, he talks about how Japan is making advances but all of a sudden says that China is now retaking territory, or when he talks about Lithuania signing a mutual assistance pact and then immediately jumps to the Winter War without stating the reasons.
I love this idea it was so hard before because I had to keep searching different stuff but now in one video, now this is ultimate content

First time coming across this channel. You have my sub.
EmperorTigerstar: Why do I hear boss music?
Ahhaah
his videos are inaccurate lol and poorly researched too
Some events have been forgotten in the video such as:
-The Sarr Offensive in september 39, the only allied ground offensive against Germany during the phoney war (the French advanced 8 km with almost no resistance before retreiving, since the HQ was planning everything on a defensive plan)
-The Battle of the Heligoland Bight in december 39, first aircraft battle engaging the RAF against the Luftwaffe.
-All the Battle of the Atlantic wich was pretty rough in the west (compared to the Phoney War), especially with the "odyssey" of the pocket battleship the Admiral Graf Spee, accumulating a dreadful list of casualities upon the british fleet, untill beeing hunted down in Uruguay at the battle of the River Plate in december 39.
There could be others events missed here and there, but overfall, you've done a pretty good job.
the western allies had offesnive plans, but only in 1940
Still love this channel and can't wait for more
i had missed a lot of the videos so this is a great recap
I hope you make a sino-japanese & pacific war video soon, Thank you for making an excellent quality video.
I love how he's narrating like hes a commentator on a sport match
This is an awesome video and I watched the entire thing. Although I think that your usual narration is better.
There's no other channel I like quite as much as this one, and that's not for lack of competition.
France: We have this impenetrable defensive line that can resist all of your attacks
Germany: Okay. *Goes around the Maginot Line*
Finland: We have this impenetrable defensive line that can resist all of your attacks
USSR: We'll see about that
*Charges straight into the Mannerhime Line*
One of my favourite references to the Maginot Line is that it ignored Germany's' 'traditional' route of invading France via Belgium.
@@julianmhall meanwhile in some alternate universe, France fortified the Belgian border making an invasion via Belgium impossible, but then Germany invades via the French-German border
