Joel is one of the very few guitar players who can walk onstage with whatever band without rehearsing with them. He works his ass off learning the material, no rehearsing even at sound check with them. He’s that disciplined and that good.
Sure he ‘can’ do it but it isn’t an ideal situation to hit the stage without a few rehearsals. You develop a chemistry, feel and rapport with the band. BTW- Bands aren’t individual players but a ‘chemistry’ developed from time spent playing together.

Man, what I would give to see Joel playing with Accept. Talk about a kick ass show! I've always loved Accept and their MTV video of Balls To the Wall is epic. I can just imagine Joel's intro to it. Talk about a ball crusher! On Whitesnakes farewell tour and I've never asked this of an artist before and that is they were going to come to Tulsa so I shot him an email asking if there was any possible way I could meet up with him and complete one of the things on my bucket list. To my surprise he said sure! And then we all know David had to pull the plug on the tour. I was so bummed out I was depressed for a few days but deep down I feel David will come back and be better than ever and hopefully get to meet Joel. Every time I've sent Joel an email he always responds to me which I totally respect and admire because there are not very many artists who will do that for whatever reasons.I've had my guitar heroes in the past but nobody ever filled the void until I discovered Joel. His playing and with his energy for me is simply perfection and masterfully executed and I can't thank him enough for bringing me so much joy and happiness in my life more than he'll ever know. Joel is such a humble and nice gentleman I don't know how anyone could not get along with or even get upset with him. He is truly a remarkable human being and wouldn't this crazy world be so much better if there were more people like him. On a side note I've never heard anyone say one little thing bad about him. That speaks volumes about this amazing gentleman. I sure as hell hope Accept does a live concert video with Joel's playing because I'll be the first person to get a copy.
Joel is simply just the most humble, respectful guy in a business that can be pretty brutal. I haven't met Joel personally, but prayers to God that someday soon I will
I'd like to see them revisit the early days, do a tour of just stuff pre-1987. But Dave seems to be happy with everything before Slide It In left in the dustbin.
JH is an EXTREMELY talented guitar player and love the fact he will be playing with Accept! I saw Accept open for Maiden in 85 on their Powerslave tour and have been a fan ever since.
I knew Joel when he was a guitar teacher / bar band player in Chicago. He worked harder than anybody. I mean that sincerely. If you wanna be Joel, get disciplined.
I thought Whitesnake just did their final tour and David was done no? I have always liked Joel as a guitarist. You can tell this guys very passionate about what he does and it shows. I don’t know him personally but he seems like the kind of guy you want in your band for his maturity, not egotistical. Just a regular guy you could sit down and chat with. I respect his professionalism and when you can be a “friend” to David Coverdale and get his support to play in other bands, you know you have got a great guy to keep in your band.
Why would Coverdale be pissed. He's never going to tour again. It sucks because WS was a favorite, but I saw them when they last came through So Cal and his voice is shot. The band kicked ass but Dave....
Why did he leave Night Ranger? Can anybody tell me? He was great in that band. Keri Kelly is O.K but sort of an eyesore onstage with his style of dress and mannerisms.
So very true, but... Is there whitesnake, g'n r, Ratt, dokken, stratovarius, megadeth, ac/dc..... Anymore? Or r those 'legend bands' just something which gives little bit of money for the retiered time.....

I wish I could see this tour. I'm a big fan of Joel and Accept and its weird because Wolf Hoffman is one of my favorite guitar players. His sound is part of the reason I got into Accept to begin with. But now? He's old and slow, and kind of lazy now and its just weird because I think Joel is a better guitarist (now)
He may like Accept but it's a fact that Wolf doesn't let any of his guitar players play solos, that's why Jorg Fischer and Herman Frank Jr left the band. I love Wolf but this is a fact. From what I've seen he's a highly over-qualified rhythm guitarist. Kind of an odd gig for him but like he said at least he's not sitting on his couch at home.

little harsh about Joel. Just think how cool it would be if people said you will neither be missed or remembered. He is better than good. Just his technique of 8 finger tapping most top guitarists can't do. Jeff Watson is close but I think Joel is even better.
