- Hey Guys, in today's video I'm taking you along my natural hair journey. I'm discussing my experience as a new natural before the natural hair movement, a little about my transitioning journey, and the support I received from family, friends and old co workers. I also share my best hair tips on how you can achieve long healthy hair. I talk about creating your own DIY concoctions, trimming your hair, deep conditioning weekly and low manipulation on your hair. Every tip I gave is exactly all that I have done to my hair over the course of my 6 year natural hair journey. I hope you find this video helpful I tried to keep it short and sweet. #mynaturalhairjourney #naturalhair #mynaturalhairjourneywithpictures #trimming #diy #deepconditioning #lowmanipulation #blowouthair #flatironhair #aloe #avocado #bigchop #transitioning #naturalhairjourney3c4ahair #hairgrowthtips #growlonghealthyhair #proteintreatments #mayo #egg #washdayroutine #haircareregimen

This is the gospel I had cancer and had a bald head as you can imagine my glory was gone!! Those were the dark days after the cancer i went into beast mode trying to get my hair back I researched all the science of the hair and I found the best care you can give your hair is the natural stuff these preservatives in the products sometimes do more harm them Good they enter into your system through your pores am just a bit more cautious after the horrible health scare! Oh wow!!! Congratulations on beating cancer and to your amazing hair growth🙌🏽. My mom did all of these things to my hair that I speak about from I was a kid so now I’m just doing it on myself and I’ve been doing it for years. Keep up the great work and taking care of yourself ❤️

Thank you for preaching about the trimming! So many ppl act like trimming is a devilish task. When it’s so essential
It’s very essential!!
What you said about deep conditioning is a fact! I used to dc maybe once or twice a year and my hair use to look dry all the time. Few months ago I started dc weekly and I can definitely see a difference

People are cruel and are the worse sometimes..I am transitioning and I did a mini chop so that I can atleast put my relaxed ends in a ponytail until I can be comfortable with the length for me...
Your hair is incredible
Thank youuuu🤎
You’re hair is gorgeous 😍😍😍
Thank you ❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing! 🥰
What did you deep condition your hair with ? Products you used.
Oouuuu now I really have to think about all that I've used. My very first deep conditioner I used was by Kinky Tresses I can't remember the exact name but the brand still exists and I'm sure the deep conditioner is still there it has mango/avocado in it. The second one i tried was by Naturally United Curls (this brand still exists as well), after that I started making my own DIY deep conditioners, using RAW ALOE (by itself), Avocado and olive oil, Honey Banana and olive oil, Mayo & Egg (but that's my protein treatment), ohhhhh Palmers deep conditioning packs I LOVE those, Dr. Miracles deep conditioning packs, Camille Rose Lavender Quench deep conditioner, Aussie 3 minute miracle mask deep conditioner (this was really good too). There's this brand I can't remember the name but they have deep conditioning packs as well normally I like to go in local stores and purchase those little deep conditioning packs. I've used a lot of them. I really think that's all I've tried so far. I hope this helps
@@iamrakiarolle Yes I do recall you using the avocado mango. I'll definitely try the brands mentioned. Thank you hun

@@iamrakiarolle lol ik, I'm from there as well. My guess is Freeport or Nassau. Am I wrong lol?
@@thebrilauren ohhhh lol both. Grew up in Freeport now living in Nassau
@@iamrakiarolle That's fire lol. Grew up in Freeport myself and now living in the US. Your hair is flourishing!! So happy to see us island girls taking care of our hair. You did that!!
@@thebrilauren oh niceeeeee!! Thank youuuu🤍
😽😽😽
Is it just me, I hear an underlying bajan accent???
I heard Bajan accent in person for the first time this year when I went to Barbados and I love it lol but I'm Bahamian
People are sick. They need help who is really worried about the hair growing on someone else's head.
Right!!! It played with my self esteem at first but obviously not a decision I regret at all.
