You are the trainer on UA-cam that makes the most sense. Thank you for all you do for us.
Beth Wagner THANK YOU BETH! So grateful for you!
Make videos with aggressive grawling , nips bites of taking rugs. Of how to stop that border collie blue heeler 91/2 months will.be 10months In February
I was watching this vid on my husband’s big TV. My 15 month Aussie was very enthralled with your lesson. Every time you said “Good Boy!” He looked at me like ‘Am I a good boy?’ So of course I had to call him & then praise him when he came 😂
hahah thats too funny
That Chow chow! I hope you stay in touch with these owners and help them mold this little guy into a well rounded chow. They can definitely be tough.
Random Generation thanks for watching!
Bro your love for dogs is so inspiring.
I LOVE the balance between positive and correction training
Allen Ballard my man! Thanks for watching
I’ve got three words to say to you, Tom.
You are incredible.
Baby bear Moby is adorable! Loved seeing another close up example of leash pressure!
Fluffy bear.
Wow this Chow has an excellent temperament. We have Chows and they tend to be more reserved with strangers but are very loving to the people they know. They're extremely smart and trainable dogs. We had a similar problem with our older guy, he has never been motivated by food. We use a lot of positive reinforcement and it works well most of the time!
M M agreed! They got lucky!
i just love puppies, how they're so innocent and willing to learn everything they can and their owner can provide to them. It's so amazing when he sits near you without you giving him a command, and the fact that he is so calm...it's great. this is by far the best training channel on youtube, your activity and your behaviour among dogs is absolutely perfect.
The fluffiest boi! He did so well! Another great video, Tom, thank you.
Thanks so much!
Love your training style. I wish we had educators like you in the UK. They're all positive only trainers here and anything else is animal cruelty in their minds🤷♀️
Panther 8282 thanks for watching!

^^^This dog trainer is based in the UK, and he speaks highly of Tom and his training methods 😊
Check out Fenrir Canine Leaders
Oh my gosh he is so cute. Love the floofy tail.
so dang cute!
Wonderful work training a little Chow, thank you for showing that Chows can be taught just like any other pup! Some people say that Chows won't learn anything cause they are cat-like dogs, which I've always been surprised to hear.. love you, Tom!!!
Basialovesgsds thanks for watching!
You know what is hard to deal with... THE CUTENESS!!!
Still one of the better dog channels. I'm gonna try that "leash pressure - come to me" when I get home. But I already have a command for that.
Revolting Kittah thank you very much!
That itty bitty chow chow is SO CUTE OMG. I wanna snuggle him sooo bad.
Great video! I loved the ‘leaves, not bear poop’ part 😂😂
Rae S Hahha just to cliarfiy
That little fluff monster did so good! I’m going to be adopting a puppy next year and although you make it look easy, I feel more confident after watching your videos. I’ll for sure be going back and studying them. Thank you for everything you do, Tom💕
Paige Carter THANKS for watching!
It’s gonna be interesting seeing you train with a clean slate!
Clint Martin I had so much fun!

"I make it look a little easier than it is." Ha, truer words were never spoken. I tell people, "I haven't taught your dog anything. I've shown you your dog responds to good handling, and I'm a better handler than you - which I better be." I'm learning, for most dogs without serious problems, teaching the owner to be better handlers is the thing. This video was great - it was nice and calm and sweet. It shows how important a relationship is and how easy it is to achieve. Those people are probably dying to have that pup look at them the way he looked at you. Keep it up, man. You do make it look easy - and it should be easy.
So awesome. I love watching you!!! I have an 8 month cane corso, had since a 10 week old, that I have used your videos to train with. She is such a good dog because of your videos. Thanks for all you do!!
We are getting a Cane Corso in 2 weeks! I've been binge watching to get prepared so it's great to hear you're having success!!
Thanks so much ❤️
I learn and concretise so many things every time I watch your videos. I am really impressed with how far my dog and I have come since I started watching your videos. Thank you so much.

MsPhillyG thanks for watching! :)
THANK YOU! I just adopted a 5-year old who was only in a yard, never on a leash. I've been walking him 4 times a day and this video has already changed our walking relationship. THANK YOU!
Hey Thomas! I’m a new dog owner and I have learned a lot of things I never knew bout my dog watching your videos 😎👍 I appreciate all your hard work and dedication in your videos. Good job 👏
Moby was so cute. He responded to your leash pressure very quickly.
Becky Hamilton yesss!
I like how you explain everything to the owners and put it in terms they can understand. I enjoy watching your videos keep up the good work.
Jeff R thank you, I appreciate the feedback brother.
Great to see Moby's progress with the pressure leash training. It was helpful to see the leash pressure release with the place and heal command. Moby is such a fluffy and beautiful Chow dog.
Ben Burns yess!
You can totally use this for most dogs! I teach this technique to volunteers for walking the shelter dogs. 😊
yess!
I love this cute puppy, as always love the way you train your dogs. EXCELLENT
Sheila Fote thanks very much!
i wish i found this video when i first got my shepherd. this is gonna really help with our training since noone ever broke down teaching leash pressure, and video to teach loose leash walking never seemed to help out. thanks so much for sharing the knowledge.
Chows are so cute, don't really see a pure chow that often
Niki Sterris so cute!!!! Omg
That's soo true its like thier in hiding or something.
Theyre usually restricted by insurance companies
You look so happy working with Moby! You had a smile on you the whole time!
komdohree I love what I do. ❤️

Perfect timing😊we get our puppy in 2 weeks!!
What kind of dog?
Kierston McKinley YAY!!
@@Bear-form Cane corso ...so I know I need to be on my game lol
@@kierstonmckinley4535 That is a big boy.
I had a Shepard chow mix for 14 years. The most obedient dog I ever had with little training.
Exactly what I needed. My puppy walks on the leash great sometimes and awful others. I'm going to try some of this. Thanks Tom.
As always, no detail left out, very simply and well explained. I like that you take care to tell clients what they have to do better. We (including and talking about me) tend to do things we shouldn't, like pull the leash tight while healing for no reason, but you're so patient. Every video is done in a very interesting way! I always enjoy!!! 😄😁😃
Miki T thanks so much! :)
Ugh I love puppy training! They are often just so happy to be involved!
Johannah Fernandes thanks for watching!!
Please do more puppy videos!!!!!
thank you, Sir...The Best Dog Channel ever

Anne-Marie McIsaac thanks so much!
I love watching your editorial videos each and every day. You inspire so many people who gives up on dogs. I would love one of your face mask. Keep putting it out there you're giving us so much more knowledge then what we ever had before. Thank you Michelle
This was the most helpful video I’ve ever seen!!! ~ Thank you!
Junqueira Veinotte thank you so much, that’s huge for me!
Great leash lesson for pups. Getting ready to leash train our pup who dot
Love ❤️ your videos Tom u do a fantastic job with all of the dogs that you help with thank you for the advice as well
Great job Tom!! I'm a trainer in Brooklyn and Long Island, NY and it's nice to see another trainer explain things and train very similar to me.
I enjoy watching other good trainers, that's why I just subscribed to your channel. I might even be giving u a call one day!
Thanks for proving my methods are correct and training can also be fun and a great bonding experience for human and dog
I love your videos your videos have help me so much with my doggie!
You guys are great at dog training
That chow pup is so adorable. I just want to cuddle with him. He is too cute!
I like the fact that you make your video from real dogs with real behavior or miss behaviors i should say. A lot use a very well trained dog to demonstrate but don't show how to get there very well.
doing a dog training video with a trained dog just doesnt make sense to me.
Nice to see you with a puppy :)
YESSS!!!
such a cute puppa! Great vid, this will be so helpful to a lot of puppies (& their owners), ty ty!
Thank you Julie!!
Clocked in so many hours of learning, thanks man, you're the best
Love watching your training videos. I am always learning which help me with training my chihuahua’s. 💗🐾🐶
Thank you so much!
You really had me going at the beginning because it was totally believable to me that Tom wouldn't blink if someone said, "Help! We're having resource guarding and reactivity issues," and on the end of the leash was a charging kodiak bear.
Love your technique. It does work. MY two shepherds ARE LEARNING SO much
Best explained dog training videos I have seen so far!
Would be great to see you doing more puppy work.. thank you
Moby is a cutie, great video
I enjoy your videos so much! Thank you for sharing your knowledge ! 🙏🏻 NO BAD DOGS 🐶
Thanks so much Lou!!
Because of you and another dog trainer my chow chow is a good boy
I’m always exited to see your videos 😁

Awesome information! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
LeAnna Klaphake THANK YOU!! I appreciate you watching
Fair play. You really know you're stuff! It's a pleasure to watch and learn from you! Tracey from England
First start very nice
Thank uyou!!!
I love working with puppies that are so easily excited by positive reinforcement. My husband calls it my puppy voice and he hates it. Lol
Too much excitement has negative side effects on my Shepherd. He starts chasing his tail.
Lacey Bessinger haha thanks for watching Lacey!
Loving your videos! I've got an 11 month old male Keeshond. Applying your techniques has really been so helpful. Thanks for sharing!
Another great video Tom
Thank you very much!
You just given me a homework. Thanks ☺
My white swiss kept coming over to me thinking he was a GOOD BOI!!! Lol
Andie Crouch hahah he is!
Nice video, back to the basics 👍🐕🐾
yep
Great vibes brother
Love your work
Thank you so much Pam
hi tom..i really enjoyed this one. i shared it to my facebook page. allot of my friends have dogs.
Penny Grieco thank you so much Penny!
I like your training methods, Tom. On Tuesday just gone, I sat in on a doggie training class with a highly respected dog training facility here in Australia. They do not believe in correcting your dog when it does the wrong thing with leash pressure or saying any word that means NO.
They use a leash and clickers as well as positive praise to get the desired results. This may work but I wonder long term if they had an aggressive dog or anxious dog in their training classes how effective would this training be?
I have been watching your channel since October. I have learned so much about training methods and doggie psychology from you and understand what the dog is thinking or reacting to. This makes so much sense now.
I'm looking forward to my Volunteer work in February in Arizona and learning the training methods they use and of course, meeting all their K9 residents at the shelter. I have my eye on a 6-year-old male White Swiss Shepherd that I would like to adopt when I return home to Australia if he is still available.
He is a handsome boy with his pure white coat. He has anxiety and is currently on medication for it. Do you think a dog can be cured of its anxiety issue over time and not require medication long term, Tom?
Peter, my name is Jen & I have used very similar methods for years and want to answer your question.
Yes! I absolutely believe it! Depending how engrained the behavior is, taking the leadership role and making all decisions for the dog will curb a lot of anxiety & in most cases can fix it 80-90% of the time. Keep in mind it will take time, patience and repetition. When the dog looks to you for guidance and direction 100% of the time, it will not only help the dogs anxiety but it will prolong the dog's life as well!! Just as with humans, living in a constant state of stress & anxiety takes years off a dogs life too. So if you can gain your dog's respect & trust through leadership and using Canine psychology (rather than human psychology, which is exactly what Tom is doing) you will gain an amazing loyal companion for years to come.
Hi Jennifer, I have owned Rosie now for almost 3months she no longer barks at people we see on our walks and walks alongside me on the busy roads. She sleeps on my bed each night and she does snore at times lol but I see this as a dog who feels completely safe, happy and at ease living with me. She still barks at the mailman on his motorbike but I think that's just a dog thing. She is getting better when we see other dogs on our walks and has stopped reacting to every dog, so we are making progress. I have endless patience and we take things a day at a time. 😄 this is Rosie in my profile picture. She is a beautiful girl.
Wish if seen thus vid before going to an obedience class where we only used food.
Food causes problems down the road.
I need a video from you explaining how to combat leash biting! Pls! You the person i look to for advice for my puppy and this is the one thing you dont have a video on , i love your videos man. I cant wait for your puppy series, i need some help w mine w her leash training and leash biting . Thanks

Love this damn dog!
Michael Canine me too!
Sooo cute! And great training techniques, thank you!
Great video. Thank you so much! Are you using a slip collar for this training?
I took screenshots and it appears to be a slip leash to me.
Thats one cute frigging pup..
Awe! The best
It’s interesting to see something a bit different from you! Good session, and super adorable bear dog! Can’t wait to see more!
tiffany blair thanks for watching Tiffany!

Terrific video - thank you so much. Just can't understand how anyone can give a dislike???
