    Magic Sleek treatment on type 4 natural hair ! This video explains my experience with Magic Sleek which is a non toxic, Formaldehyde Free alternative to keratin hair treatments. My hair type is around 3c/4a. I have tried almost every straightening method there is and am on a journey to keep my hair as healthy as possible while continuing to straighten it.

    Hello, my name is Ally and i just wanted to share some feedback because I liked how honest and raw your video is. My mom used to have incredibly thick, frizzy hair with a lot of volume and big curls. She has been using the products for years and gets her regrowth done every 8 months, the product is truly incredible. I have not seen her curly hair in years and she loves the product. Her hair is not silky, smooth, healthy, and straight. Now she gets out of the shower and is ready to start her day, she does not blow dry her hair, her hair dries straight. The product is great because it is a huge time savor as well.

      Can you please tell me how your mom does her regrowth? Does she put the product on her roots only? Cause I do all my hair and I wonder if it's really necessary or if my hairdresser is exaggerating 😅

    Magic sleek saved my hair!! It literally gave me my dream hair! So easy to manage and wear straight! I feel the same way with the reviews... like I love magic sleek but they need a revamp with the packaging and also the marketing!! Like no one knows about it

      I agree! Its so strange that no one talks about it when it seems super beneficial to almost any hair type?!

    hi bambi- i also use magic sleek. I had tried alot of chems on my hair too. I m most happy with magic. Yes, it is expensive, worth it for me. I do Magic 2X a year. The one thing that happened to my was: the color of my hair change from black to copper, which i kept for a while, then color to brown (i dont mind the change of color)
    thank you for posting. YOur video was very help. Good details and useful video clips.

    Thank you so much for this video! I just got Magic Sleek and the guys at the salon were trying hard to sell magic sleek shampoo and conditioner. I didn't want to spend extra on top of the already pricey treatment. Do you use a special or regular shampoo on your hair? And do you notice any kind of difference? Thanks

    • @ksoteri50
      @ksoteri50  Рік тому +1

      To be honest I've used both their line and non-line but didnt notice a hugeee difference either way. My first salon didnt even use the Magic sleek line when they were doing my hair so that made me feel like I dont NEED it, that being said I do think, if you can afford it it wouldnt hurt to use their line! Hope that helps

    I have multiple textures too. Mostly 3c/4a and I was thinking about trying a non toxic keratin treatment myself for my 6th nap anniversary. Accept the one I was eyeing was called, "Silk Touch Plus Keratin treatment". I'm just hoping I can revert my hair back to its natural stage afterwards. BTW, your hair looks good!

    • @ksoteri50
      @ksoteri50  3 роки тому +1

      That sounds promising! From what I understand most things keratin based you will eventually revert back if you don't keep it up. And thank you! xo

    I scheduled to have magic sleek done and I’m so nervous. I just read tons of reviews online saying it didn’t last, or it ruined their hair/left it really dry, and stripped the dyed color out by 2 shades. I’m biracial also, but my hair takes after my mom in regards to texture (white) than my dads (black). It has become wavy over the years rather than curly, but it’s always dry, knotted, and super puffy/frizzy.
    Have you noticed anything you DONT like about this treatment? I’m looking at paying $450+ and I need it to work 😂

    • @briannalee6071

      hey i’m in the same situation as you!! did you try it ??

    • @ksoteri50
      @ksoteri50  3 роки тому +2

      honestly nothing I dont like! and ive actually noticed my hair is a LOT more moisturized, not dried out at all. I have in fact heard that it lightens dyed dark hair. Which I actually did just dye my hair so ill definitley do a video once I get my next magic sleek and see whaat it does to the color. I've heard what you do is get magic sleek done than they can do a toner in the same day to get your hair back to the color. Definitley an annoying extra step and something to think about if you will continuously color your hair. As far as virgin hair (getting it done if you dont have any hair dye) it didn't lighten my own hair at all. really like it overall the only cons would be price and if you want your hair pin straight 100% of the time itll take slightly more work with a magic sleek than just doing japanese. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions!

    Are your ends relaxed or heat trained/damaged?

    • @ksoteri50
      @ksoteri50  3 роки тому

      the very ends of my hair at some parts still have japanese straightening (so deff damage). You can kind of see it when my hair is curly there are some straight strands at the bottom. But the hairdresser did say in general my ends were damaged (before the magic sleek treatment)

    Hey. How long do you recommend wait to wash after? I know they say two days but should wait longer?

    • @ksoteri50
      @ksoteri50  Рік тому +1

      From my understanding the product is washed out of your hair already when you leave the salon so it shouldn't matter too much how long you wait.

    Do you find that you still have to flat iron it because after shower my thick frizzy hair dries a bit wavy! Thanks!

    • @ksoteri50
      @ksoteri50  2 роки тому

      Hi Marissa! Yes I would still flat iron my hair but very light passes and didnt have to section my hair into thin parts like normal, just like 6 -8 sections to smooth it out further for me!

    No keratin product is formaldehyde Free. Sometimes there are two components which together form formaldehyde . Or the formaldehyde is written on the label with another name. Check glamfam video about this subject

    • @ksoteri50

      I havent personally gotten the brazilian blowout but I think most of them contain formaldehyde ? (I could be wrong) so in that sense this is healthier for the hair!
