I also do my keratin treatments by myself! Those fumes are no joke! Using goggles help with that though. I know I look ridiculous with the goggles but since I’m at home no one’s looking haha! Thanks for the video, it was super helpful 💕😊

@@JillJMUA I use the same brand, Keratin Research but mine is a black bottle and called the “Gold Label” version because I have 4a-4c hair (literally I find so many different curl patterns in my hair since I went natural haha). Just subscribed to your channel, thanks for the hard work!
Does that mean it has formaldehyde? Do you know any that dont I get weird palpitations from strong chemicals

I used this stuff like 3 yesterday ago. The first 24 hrs it feels like u got glue in your hair but after that the results were really satisfactory.
When the dryer came out, I was like “Oh, is she mixed?” 🤣 I need one of those myself. Much more space efficient than a stand dryer.

Gorgeous!!! Your hair texture naturally is exactly like mine...literally different curl pattern left to right 🤦♀️😆 What I found prevents my eyes from burning was that I wear contact lenses. It does leave my throat sore afterwards from inhalation though 🤮 But again your results look amazing 🔥🔥
You are gorgeous. I have used this several times. I have straight frizzy hair and it helps in with the humidity.
Thanks for making this! I have 3b hair and love wearing it straight. It's completely unmanagable to the point where I avoid taking proper care of it - which of course makes it worse. I have been seriously considering doing a relaxer but haven't seen many other girls with my texture get it done. I was scared it would be way too harsh! Now I'm doing research on keratin treatments. Your video rocks!

I used this same product 8 years ago.. The only cons are the smell of fumes and the natural pattern of your curls don't fully come back for a good few years... other than that... My hair is exactly like hers.. I now use the less stronger keratin research FORTE+

I don't care for the eye and throat burning, but honestly it was awesome. I rather find one without the formaldehyde. I know the same company has a formaldehyde free treatment called Inverto.

I always us this one. It takes about 3 hours to do it properly. I use eyeglasses and a mask and a fan !!

Best advice? Do this on the deck or have all your doors & windows open. The.whole.time.

I noticed you don't wash after the initial flatiron process.
I just started taking my daughter to get a Brazilian blowout / keritan treatment and I noticed that the lady washes her hair once to clarify it, dries it to somewhat straight, applies the treatment, flat irons it to seal in the treatment, and then washes it again afterwards.
Then she does a final blow dry and flat iron to style the hair. I'm guessing that secondary wash is to wash away any remaining chemicals that may irritate the scalp?
Since you did not wash yours afterwards I'm wondering is it a different type of keratin? Maybe at-home products are not as strong?
All salons use different brands and I’m sure they have their own instructions on when to wash. I am able to wash this one out in a couple hours (I believe) after sealing it in with the flatiron. I just choose to keep it in and wash it after a few days because it’s such a long process and I get lazy. From my understanding once I’m it’s sealed, it’s sealed so wash whenever.

I tried the Express version & the curly method...burns the scalp, even when you intentionally try to avoid it & not sure it did enough to warrant the time & pain. I even have a slight headache now. I'm returning what remains.

I don’t use this particular one I use GK hair but i specially get keratin treatments for humidity.

Hi . May I ask you what happens with your hair after 3 or 4 months .... ??? Will you get curly growth and straight ends or washes off gradually???
Check out my other videos. It reverts back to it’s original state. This product does not straighten your hair, it just reduces the frizz making it more manageable, so the growth is the same as usual.

I bought some keratin it was in alittle spray bottle I forgot the brand name. Mine is not white. It's clear liquid Will it work on natural curly hair with out having to use heat?

How long did your keratin treatment last before you needed to redo it with this product?

@@chelseydarling so it doesn’t straighten the hair, it just relaxes the frizz. It can loosen the curls to a wave, but it won’t be straight.
@@chelseydarling I've read the forte (from the same brand) and their gold label relaxes curl much more. Look up the reviews on amazon. I plan to use the forte or gold as soon as the heat dies out here! I have 3a to 3c hair. Very similar to Jill's hair actually.

How long does it last? Do u have to straighten your hair every day after you did it - or can you just pass a brush and it’s good.
It’s lasts 3 months. I quickly blow dry or pass a straightener through it to freshen it up when it’s straight.

Your hair looks great. I have 3b curly hair and I live in a humid climate where straightening my hair during the spring/summer months can be a pain because of the frizz. I'm not sure of the type of climate where you live but does your hair frizz with the treatment when it's humid and does this effect your curl pattern? I'm hoping to have the best of both worlds. Basically the versatility of having curly or straight.
So it’s the 3rd time I’ve done it and I have noticed my curl pattern has change some. It’s a little more loose than before so when I wear it curly I have to scrunch it a little

@@Sharda_Jones Hey lovely I'm jumping in here to offer a response. I live in South Africa where it can be humid and hot most of the time. I've been doing Keratin treatments for three years now and my hair never gets frizzy. It's only once the product wears off (after about 4 or 5 months) then it starts to become a bit frizzy, at that stage I reapply product but only to the regrowth area. Hope this helps 🤗

It didn’t damage my hair at all! This isn’t a relaxer so the hair doesn’t stay straight. It is a smoothing treatment, so it really just takes the frizz making the hair easier to manage. Check out my other 2 videos I posted for updates 👍🏽

I kept it in like 5 days. It doesn’t absorb more in that time so there’s no real benefit or risk to it so you are able to wash out sooner than that. I was just lazy really lol

It just cleans your hair of product buildup, dirt & oil - if it’s box die it my strip the color a little but you should be ok - just color your hair 2 weeks after treatment
I did mine today But wow no wonder they charge what they charge, my eyes where killing me I was coughing had to get out of my bathroom bec I though I was suffocating wow! It’s a lot but I did it not sure if I would do it again

No damage at all!! It says the treatment should last 3 months - I’m working on a 2 part update - one for when I wear my hair curly & then one for straight!

What happens after the first wash? Do u use something specific? Wait for how many days after treatment?
First wash it just goes back to its natural curl & depending on how I wear my hair depends on the products. I’ve been using Briogeo for curls and Dry Bar products for straight styles. I usually wait a few days before washing - I get lazy lol

3 months - in humidity my straight hair will still get a little frizzy (because of the moisture in the air & because my hair is curly) but it’s significantly less than it was before the treatment

This stuff works well but the fume are horrible. I mean really bad. I can't do it anymore because I dread just thinking about using it. But the results are amazing.
