- I can't help myself. Every time I go the hobby store I have to look at the miniatures. They are not always the best looking miniatures but you can take them home for a good price and then modify them to your own liking!

Great video and fantastic makeovers of very commercial minatures. You cannot tell they started as a mass proguced item. Loved the artist box and the realistic detail. Thank you for your wine sacrifice.

Well, if those didn't turn out too cute. The painter's box is so fantastic! I love minis with a story. My mom is a very tidy artist, I know it's not that common, but even so her paints and palettes looked like that. Ah, the memories of being outside with her while she was painting and she would hold me on one hip. I would gawk at all of her supplies...thanks for the trip down that cozy lane. Have a great Sunday!

Hi Whitney, The customized paint box and paint palette remind me of my Great Grandmother’s life sized set. We didn’t find them in the attic, but in the garage. I should have a miniature set in my dollhouse someday to pay homage to her. She began painting at 60! The weekend I ran into you at Hobby Lobby was when I was working on a scrapbook about her and her multi talents. Thanks for the inspiration. 😊 🎨 🖼️

Both turned out so great. I thought the jam jars were so cute there were originally but the laundry makeover was awesome! So glad you sacrificed the bottle of wine to make the corks hahahah! I’m going to make a life size sign of “Laundry. Who even does that shirt” for my laundry room. That’s hilarious! Thanks for laughs!

Love both but the laundry shelf stuck out for me because I haven't seen anythng like that in miniatures! Thanks for your "sacrifice" in making the corks for the bottles. LOL!

Well,I’m going back to London,for more mudlarking,maybe I’ll find more old porcelain doll bits!
Tiny doll house furnishings are often found,like teacups or chamber pots.

Years later,there became mudlarking videos,first done by dearest Nicola White,now it’s a phenomenon,to the point where permits to mudlark are currently stopped.
The Thames is lite the worlds largest archaeological site!
This year is my second year in the muck!

This is beyond amazing! Love the transformations! I'll be looking at the Hobby Lobby miniatures with a different eye now, I can actually change some of them because of your inspiring ideas. Those jars would make awesome witch potions for my dollhouse, and hey, those witches can paint some spooky paintings too, can't they? 😂😂Love these ideas, they can fit with any theme or type of dollhouse! I love the minis at Hobby Lobby and Michael's.

Yeh, I used to kind of snub my nose at the miniatures from hobby lobby...(miniature snob!) lol..but then I realized that they are great minis to get creative with and now I'm obsessed! And yes...absolutely those jars would make great mini potion bottles and you could really make that shelf look old..so many great ideas!

These turned out well. I have redone many human size and mini items all my life- some utter fails, but nevertheless better to have done than not, as I didn't like the originals.
So so true, all the fails teach us however, even if they were disappointments! Sometimes I have found a fail actually turned into a pleasant surprise!
