It looks more impressive than it actually is. If you look closely you can tell the suspension is set up poorly - the car has a ton of roll and bottoms out easily.
@@michaelbuckers I'm not sure but if these suspensions doesn't soft enough, driver's ass will cracked and be casted for sure.
@@Grnbaracuda Formula pilots manage, so it can't be that bad. Bottoming out is a problem because obviously you damage the chassis and it'll need to be rebuilt, but also it removes some load from the tires and reduces grip, hampering track performance. In general the car should only bottom out if you hit a huge bump which is already a screw-up on the driver's side. It should definitely not bottom out during normal maneuvers, especially not braking. Roll makes the car upset balance too easily while cornering and that causes maneuverability issues, which also reduces performance around the track.
I love how much it slides and the soft suspension setup makes is perfect for tracks like this.
The driver was powersliding every corner like a champ this thing must feel like a dream.

@@deekamikaze Ariel Atom is cool and all, but have you seen Caterham 620? It's more of a go-kart and it goes even faster.
They all have 20" + wheels now so they react very slow. It's like having 4 huge flywheels.

That’s incredible. One thing you don’t notice is how many cameras there are filming this. Like on every corner or straightaway almost seamless, kudos to the videographers!

Featherweight ride, huge power to weight ratio, on tiny wheels, a short wheelbase and a rear-engine-rear-wheel drive setup. Slick tyres on asphalt or not, you'd probably have spun this thing out on the first corner.
The fact the driver even made it through here without clipping a wall is already amazing. Props.

That is insane power,and the skill level of driving this rocket on 4 wheels is incredible to say the least.
The power and weight ratio is so nice, along with the cornering of a kart it’s gotta be ridiculous fun. I think paddle shifts would make it so much better because you can tell sometimes he took his hands off the wheel to shift and since the cornering is so tight it was kinda hard to do but phenomenal regardless.

Basically a shifter cart with a roll cage and a Japanese sport bike engine.
Karts often already have engines derived from bikes. Besides that these are also sprung.
I was wondering what was in there but couldn't really tell. By the way it revved and sounded I was either thinking a sportbike engine or like a 1 rotor.
@@WynnofThule most karts have engines built for them specifically, and shifter karts are 125cc 2 stroke. Thats 30-50hp max which gives top speed of about 130mph. This kart has at least double the power, and likely several times more judging by that sound.

Looks like he had rear left suspension damage the entire run also! I can't imagine its intensionally like that. Seriously toe'd out. Rear right looks ok. Can be seen at 0:33
i see that, but it doesnt look right, some places it looks ok, i wonder if its the torque through the drive axles causing a problem there??
@@richardhardiker6014 Probably different runs and on one of the runs it was broken. I saw it all toed weird in one shot and then the next couple shots it looked aligned. Just edited together random clips.
