    I have just added a mint 2008 Grade 3 MK38 Sporter to my cabinet, and its quickly becoming my "go-to" over some much more expensive guns available. Miroku just do it so well!

    Outrageously brilliant, I love my grade 1 MK38 but as I get older it's getting a bit heavy on long days.

    In Aus we get grade 3s still, we also have the mk10 and you can get a grade 3 version of either for about 1700pounds, and both are a gun nobody walking this earth will ever get more talent than they can handle

    Nice to see Miroku have reintroduced the grade 3- my first Miroku was a grade 3 in the mk60-very nice but i moved on to a grade 5- just different engraving-both very nice in my opinion-

    I absolutely love my MK38 Trap grade 5!!! Sturdy, well balanced, reliable, a good feel to the gun and a pleasure to shoot. Nice vid and good to see a Miroku ABS case!!! 👍

    Went to my local grounds on the weekend and had previously had my heart set on the 30" Beretta 694. Unfortunately many are experiencing ejector issues. So I decided to try the MK 38 and fell in love with it, picked up the MK 38 Grade 5 Trap 30". Looking forward to enjoying it for many years to come.

    In Oz this model is known as MK10 G3 S54 chokes, circa 2005 - 2012.
    The model sold well and keenly sought after on the 2nd hand market.
    Miroku have a large slice of the sporting gun market here.

      The mk10 is a different gun to mk38 sporters, in Aus we have both, stocks are different. non tapered top rib/ solid mid ribs etc, small differences, the s54 choked guns where fitted with brileys in Aus, great guns all round

    Beautiful gun! Balance is rear of the hinge pin with your full technical analysis also no ventilated barrels on a sporter ( feel they may have missed a trick)? Thats not to say it won't fly off the shelves...I find keeping up with your varied differences between game and sporting guns hard to keep up with. Loved my MK 38 trap gun by the way.

  • @blackadder1966
    @blackadder1966 Рік тому +14

    Why does every shotgun reviewer say 'balances perfectly on the hinge pin' when it obviously does not balance on the hinge pin! I love Japanese stuff I have a Japanese car, had a ninja bike, love the food and married a wonderful girl from Yokohama, but In guns I like Italian and I hate to say German too.

    • @zmumtaz
      @zmumtaz Рік тому +5

      Personally I’ve had berretta shotguns silver pigeon 1 to be exact but it wasn’t a patch on my miroku mk38 grade 5 with walnut stock, they are based on brownings which are excellent guns after all browning invented the over/under shotgun, I prefer sako for my rifles

    • @evo636
      @evo636 Рік тому

      Personally, I really like barrel heavy guns. Balancing on the hinge pin for me is way to 'twitchy'. I like some really front heavy balance to slow it all down a bit!

      @@dominicjohnson8427 Not quite. Browning released the superposed in 1931. Boss released theirs in 1920 or thereabouts. Even prior to this many o/us had been produced.

And for sporting clays whould you recommend 30 inch or 32 inch with the Mk38 grade 3 or would you even recommend the Mk38 trap grade 3 adjustabel limited edition in 30 inch or 32 inch for sporting clays for a guy that is 6 feet tall. I would be buying a Miroku MK38 Grade 5 if it wasn't for the fact that my local Police Force has unilaterally decided not to process any new licence applications, indefinitely, and have no confirmed date for when this moratorium will be lifted. The advice on their licensing unit's website is "check back in January 2023". Very frustrating!
