I fly my Tello daily at 100 feet up, and out to 100 yards with good video and control using a wifi repeater and a power bank. The wind will take that thing for a ride though. All in all a great first timers flyer. Great tip for outside flying is to keep in fast mode. Makes it a lot easier to fight the wind.

Hi. At 7:40 you had stated that the Gamesir T1D did not work. I bought the tello in a combo kit that came with the gamesir T1D. And it works perfect with my iPhone X. You just use the tello app to connect to it. Don’t use the Bluetooth setting on your phone. It connects via the tello app. Of course you have to connect to the tello WiFi , just wanted to let you know. Thanks!

Nice vid. I have only had my Tello for about 2 weeks. Today i am useing the remote (gamsir T1) for the first time. When i got past half battery life the screen froze and i had to turn everything off and start again. I had full control but it was a frozen image. I notice yours is having trouble as well. Just seen it was 5 years ago.

I bought the Gamesir G4s according to your list of remote controllers, but it didn't pair with the Tello app on my Samsung S7 edge. Gotta keep looking again.
FYI, I tried the C.T.R.L.i for iOS and the lag was terrible. Not sure if the PXN Speedy has less lag or we have different standards for lag tolerance. :)
So... is there a controller you can use WITHOUT a smartphone. For example, you pick up a Tello second hand and want it for your kid. They don’t have a phone and you don’t want them to have one. A controller like the Mavic for example.

The remote is kind of weird after setting it up. In the directions you have to turn on the remote for a few seconds and then click on the wifi button. Whats odd is that its running bluetooth not wifi. But you should be able to see it in your bluetooth setting.
And I don't know if you noticed I thought it was an Android thing but it was doing it with the iPhone 2 the video was hesitating horribly and it actually records that way too... Does it have an SD card slot?
Have you noticed your underside getting warm to hot? Mine gave me a warning notice, then shut down. I waited then turned it back on. No warning but it did still felt pretty warm after completing my flight. Not sure if this is normal?
I know I'm late too drones but i brought a cheap wish drone similar too this one not as stable from the video's I've seen of the Tello but mine did go way further. I recently broke it was going to order another garbage drone similar this time with Gps and WiFi till I saw this drone. I know it has no Gps but I think it's a good step because in approximately 1 month I'm getting the DJI Mavic Pro so I take it as an intro for the Big Dawg ...
Hello. Bounce mode means that when you have high and low obstacles positioned at the same distance one from another, the drone will just duck them as it flies forward!

Later is better then never. I've got my Tello today. Damn! How stable is that with just 2-3 sensors. This is like flying camera.
I paid $114 CDN for mine and it's a blast. It is just strong enough to go over my roof and let me see what shingles I need replacing :)

Never leave your battery in the drone, it will drain out, and store your battery at the first low voltage warning, thanks for uploading this

In bounce mode you can let the drone bounch on your hand. So it will go down until the sensors underneath sens something like your hand

Ryze uses DJI's flight control system...it's a partnership, but I don't think they are a subsidiary of DJI. They are both Chinese companies for sure.

Ya it's a fun lil guy. Ya it's like the Spark where you just have to fly with a remote and not on a phone.
Careful finding a controller while recording. There isn't a great remote out for the tello that doesn't interfere with the video while recording.

You can hook up any Playstation 4/5 or Xbox one/series S|X controller to the tello. saves you money if you already have one.
