Hello Kate the first thing I do after I finished studying is watching your videos. I know this problem wasn't needed especially at the end of a long and tiring harvest, but you faced the problem without hesitation and with determination. For being the first time with this issue your reaction really hit me. When I help my father to fix any problems in the combine I will take you as an example because this is how you react to a problem. The sunset was awesome, I can't wait to see you in the next sowing video, stay safe and take care.
Making mistakes and learning from them also make you a great teacher :) Like your Dad a great teacher, caused he's done those mistakes before and learned from them. Keep the great video's coming :)
My father changed out some sickle on the combine header, many years ago, he was in such a hurry he for got to pick up the 17 inch crescent wrench he was using. It went into the combine and did major damage, had to take the header off to fix it. After the Combine was fixed and fired up and running again, this big crescent wrench came flying out the back, the wrench was not straight, it was bent. My father said something like, How did that get in there? Seeing you clean out that combine header brought back those memories Kate. 😀
You did a wonderful job with your combining we all get into places with our machines when you can’t see what lays ahead . Three years that’s wonderful Kate I wish I could’ve gotten trained in combining but I’m a 35 year truck driver and I really appreciate it. It would be nice to drive for your family but I’m quite busy here with corn harvest and soybean’s harvest. I pray every morning and night for all the wonderful farmers that are busy with our fields no fires and everything is safe and we all come back home safely each night. I really appreciate your time video taping for your big farm. 🤗🇺🇸😇🥰❤️🙏🤟🏻✌🏻
That beautiful sunset was God telling you that you have done an amazing job & He loves you so much Kate & has a fantastic future for you! Good job and we your audience are proud of you!
I wasn't expecting the second clogging! : ( The field topography was a challenge. Sometimes you lose, but you learn. LOL Thank you for letting us experience an entire season of harvesting with you and your family. I've learned so much and can't wait to see what's next.
I watch other farmers harvesting and Kate's family sure knows how to do up lunch and dinner out in the field right! Look at it! They break out the table and line up the home cooked goodies like a buffet! The rest usually eat sandwiches, some sliced veggies and bags of chips like I do. Eating the better food like that will keep you healthier. Believe me. I'm finding that out more in my old age, wished that I ate a lot less junk food just because it was easier to do. I noticed that her shirt had her wheat swath pattern on it just like her bag and also now her trademarked combine flag too!
you better watch what you say on here, you may come off as creepy, they need to post the videos and turn comments off,or just do away with the channel altogether because a person is opening themselves up to the world on the internet, and what you post may be lost in translation, just saying... turn the comments off problem solved Farmer boy
I discovered your channel purely by chance 2 weeks ago...I am now fully addicted to the Montana wheat harvest!! It's actually your enthusiasm and fantastic personality that keeps me watching . Although I am a " city boy " , I do have rural roots as my grandparents were farmers ( mostly dairy ) and have exposure to the farm life . I sometimes wish I had followed that path in life. I enjoy running equipment such as the fork truck I drive every day in my job, but a bad butt combine like yours, that would be cool ..wow nice . Please keep educating us city folk, on the ups and downs ( plugged header times two ) ,on all it takes to feed the world really . Farmers deserve so much more credit than they are given and are far more educated than portrayed . I share your dads first name too and admire his ability to sternly train you ,while lovingly encouraging at the same time, qualities I'd like to feel I would also have . I look forward to more videos from a young and beautiful lady who simply wants to " edu Kate " ( see what I did there : ) anyone who will watch .. Thanks for your effort .
Everyone who operates a combine gets the fun of unplugging the header. I don't understand how you stay so clean while cleaning out the combine. We are always covered in dirt afterwards. Happens to everyone at some point. I see the soil was very loose there, which compounds the problem. Your dad is super patient. There is a lot of stress involved with handling all that he has to handle.
Just remember there are not many people your age running a combine, and even fewer girls. You've done a fantastic job all harvest. The plugging is just part of the learning process and every decent combine driver will have plugged it at one point. And credit to you for getting stuck in and cleaning it out.
Hi Kate, I was so inspired watching you dig dirt with your combine, that I went to my garden, digging potatoes, and pulling beets and carrots. Made a large batch of Russian Borsch. Love your videos !! I've plugged my combine cylinder with ragweed...really rough on sinuses when digging that out. Farmer John in Wisconsin
My Dad was a Mechanic, worked on farm equipment, and carried a set of small whisk brooms with him to clean out the belts on combines. You are bring back memories of being in the fields in the fall.
I've been cutting grass all day (lots of acres and lots of breakdowns), so after the day I've had the sunset was fabulous. Thank you so much for the upload, Kate!! This video made my day!! Thanks again!!
Hi Kate thank you for showing us how hard you and your dad work so hard to get the wheat out of the field please dont upset yourself for plugging up your header we all have days when nothing seems to go right please take care and stay safe
Love watching you with your dad. I can tell he raised you well from how polite you are. Kudos to him. As a small farmer I like seeing how you big farmers do things.
Those tacos look GOOD!! I think it's GREAT that your family gets together and eats GOOD food out in the field!! Too many people in a big hurry most of the time!! I also think it's GREAT that you have been running a combine for 3 years!! Most kids your age haven't even come close to that. Your Dad is cool!! He spends a lot of time teaching you AND he flies a drone!! Love your videos!!
Kate, you are lucky to have a great understanding farther, I thought it was great that he told you he has done it himself. What are your videos going to be about now the harvest is over.
You are so lucky to have a very patient teacher, your Dad! Be is a walking storehouse of knowledge! I am sure he is very proud of you following in his footsteps! Keep um coming Kate!
you guys must be relieved to be at the end of the harvest. I always felt the same when we were done hauling the last of our bales and threw the last one on the stack. your dad is getting good at his drone work. good on you for digging in and cleaning out your header. and yes, that sunset was so beautiful.
Thank you for your kindness! I am very happy that harvest is over this year. It was really fun but very tired! Dad really is loving his drone!!!! I agree the sunset was amazing!
So today we saw combining, some hard work, and some geology exploration. Tacos for lunch, how good is that...delish...And what a sunset to top of the day off. Magnificent. Thank you 🙏 🇦🇺🇺🇲
Hi Kate. Congratulations on the superb quality and educational aspects of all of your videos. You are a very talented storyteller and it is fantastic you are able to collaborate with your Dad to bring to the public's attention the importance of the agricultural sector. How long ago did you first come up with the idea of making your Kate's Ag videos and are you surprised by the large number of people who have viewed them?
Thank you for your wonderful and kind words! You made my day! I came up with the idea last harvest when I learned from people I talked with that they had no idea how their food gets to the table or even how their shirts start out on a farm (cotton).
This happen to me a little over 50 yrs ago. The first time I run a combine by my self. I did not go 100 feet and plugged the combine. Dad never raised his voice. This how you unplug it. The combine was a 1959 model john deere 95.
Hey it’s not Wednesday I knew something was missing yesterday. Glad to see you and the crew made it through another harvest and all is well. Can’t wait to see what’s next. 👍👍👍
That was the most "Head Down, Bum Up" hard working video i've seen for a while. You like to do a "Plug" for your Tote bags and now you did a couple with your John Deere combine! It was a test of your temperament and it sounded like you nailed it! You will have frustrating days in the future as well, that is a certainty. Stay safe and keep that smile alive.
O my goodness Kate that was so crazy it was awesome you could fit way back in there to clean it so proud of you another thing was that you kept smiling and at the end of the day there was a Beautiful sunset 🙌🏽
And next time you will know, great job!! The other half of the fun, cleaning everything 😉 . You always do such a great job explaining everything Kate. I hope you have a wonderful day!!!
You still learning so this kind of mistakes are normal, and your dad is awsome guy who always supports you and helping you, this is the most important thing. In a few years you would be a pro farmer with wide range of knowledge in operating this heavy machinery,so just keep it up with good job and nice and interesting videos. Your amazing personality is very rare in this harsh world so just stay like that!
It was a trusted learning experience using that 35'. I'm way sure your dad trust in your abilities; at which have proven to be a pleasure to which in your videos. Well done little lady. God bless you and your family with good health and fortune. Farming is the backbone of this country.
Your dad is a good boss and father, he takes the time to learn you all in and outs about harvesting and using the machines and you are doing verry well.
Hello little Kate, how are you? It's a bad day for you, the last of the harvest and you had to clean your hardvester. But your dad is always there to help you. Say hello to her dad for me. Have a nice day and take care of you. Thank you for all your videos.
We were potato harvesting once and a field mouse appeared in between spuds rocks and dirt, fair play I thought little tiny mouse living though the truma of going through a potato harvester , picked mouse up jumped off digger places mouse on ground gave me a lovely feeling till a kestrel spotted it ,😯
Keep up the good work!! The world needs more women like yourself that don’t mind manual labor, getting their hands dirty and working hard. Plus, you make it look good!!
As someone who grew up rural, saw a little bit of the country, and now lives in a town, watching your videos is a breath of fresh air, and makes me realize how much I miss about living in the country. As you get older it is great to explore the world and get new experiences, but sometimes it's better to live the life you're living, away from the demands of urban society. I'm sure you deal with your share of problems with equipment, crop prices, etc, but there is something to be said for the freedom you have too. I like your videos. You do a great job.
Oh Katy Kate Kate 😳 Don't you worry kiddo you did a great job digging out that header it comes with the job sometimes you just got to get dirty and by the way you didn't even get dirty 🤔 How in the world did you pull that one off 😂 You dove into that header and came out shiny as a new penny I call that an achievement. 😁👍👍👍👍👍👍 Great video Kate!!!!!
Just came across your channel watching Laura Farms. Great content. Love the farm gear. I thought farming was easy because of the heavy equipment involved but it truly is much harder then it looks. Keep the awesome videos coming. Would love to see more of the farm and surrounding areas. It would also be awesome if you put a camera up for live streaming just a plain areas of the farm for weather rolling through. You could probably catch some amazing footage that millions on youtube would live to watch just rolling weather through a farm.
You are extremely conscientious, working very hard to help harvest the crops and having to repair the equipment...and then answering all of these hundreds of comments on youtube (which almost no other content creator does.) You are extremely gracious, too. Don't feel like you have to do everything. Don't respond to my comment...you're too busy. Best wishes!!
Don't be too hard on yourself Kate, we're all human. Consider it an experience and a life lesson, you've gone through it and now you know how to deal with it. Great sunset to end harvest season!
Greetings from Ireland', harvest over for another year,i would think that dirt and rocks clogging up the combine happens to all drivers from time to time, part of the job,u did a great job all during the harvest, great videos,
Well Kate you might not have finished the last rows but you were out there working the harvest when most of them were broke down as I recall great job this year you are a credit to you gender.
Great video young Kate, I really like your Dad he is super cool, he is always there helping you, the experience your Dad has, will be given down to you and your Children, Kate your a very lucky young Lady, I think your Dad & Grandpa & Uncle just loves you to pieces, it shows in the videos, don't worry about the clog up, its just part & parcel of Farming life , this experience you will remember through life, and the joy of having your Father there to help you through, once again bute video, Regards & Best Wishes for a wonderful Harvest 2021, Cheers for now, have a Great time Trevor.W.Bacelli, Biloela Qld Australia.
Hey Kate.. just something I wanted to point out to you that you might want to watch yourself on. At 10:00 min I noticed when you were slowing down you pulled the hydrostat lever back past neutral when you were still going forward.. You can cause some nasty high pressures in the hydraulic system doing that. You only want to gradually pull it back and not go into reverse until youre stopped. Just want to save you from a headache and keep from blowing some seals or a hydraulic line. I really like watching youre videos. Good job girl! 😊👍
You need a giant shop vac to help with those dirt-y chores.! Keep up the good work. Maybe when we eat some pasta we can say "you know Kate probably save us from some dirt in our pasta! lol.
Kate, it was so scary watching you climb into that machine! Was the key even removed to prevent start up? Are there E-Stops and other lock out procedures to be followed before entering the machinery? There must be. I hope they were followed, if not you need to be trained properly. Love the videos and and learning about grain farming. Love your positive attitude!
That's how I'm learning. I'm glad it's not a lot of trouble. My voice is getting smaller with a sense of guilt. Still, I really like your bright voice.
Just shows that even the most experienced "drivers" will at times have situations that they've never done before! YOU go girl! But there is good news with this, your Dad was there to assist you and reassure you, you understand that stuff happens no matter how careful you are, and just use a good attitude to get the "repair" done. I really appreciate your videos.
Can you please tell me how farmers can keep semis to online use 1 month out of the year? Do you use a tractor and a grain cart instead of just driving the semi up into the field to reduce damage to the ground or for other reasons as well. Thank you, for you channel, I love learning about farming...
Thank you for your great question. We use our semi-trucks throughout the year because we do not sell our grain all at once right after harvest. We store our grain in our many grain bins and wait for good prices before we sell. Not all farmers do that. Some sell all their grain right away. We use the tractor and cart to take the harvested grain out of the field because our semi-trucks can't get into the fields and also because there is a higher risk of fire driving a semi-truck into a field. That is why we have to be sure that the semi-trucks stay at the edge of the field.
Further to my previous comment: according to NASD Agri Engineering they say: "Don't rely on the hydraulic system for support when working under the machine header. Always use the stops or supports provided on the machine. If no safety device is provided, block the header securely".
Kate, you were wearing a white jacket when down cleaning the front of the header, how did you stay so clean looking? When I service machinery I get covered in dirt and grease.
You are so welcome very beautiful young lady working with heavy equipment on farming the first time I will ever see a woman doing a man's job everybody has to be created equal job is a job no matter what does a man or a woman Marcus work any kind of job keep in touch each other peace out goodnight
I happen to be somewhat of an armchair expert when it comes to Wrangler Jeans. It is my semi-professional opinion that these are among the nicest ones on UA-cam.
Just a friendly reminder, a combine is not a potato digger 🤣 How about just skipping the last day of harvest every year, then things should be fine 🤔🤣 Glad that the harvest season went pretty well. Now I guess it's time for cleanup and hoping for good prices on the grains doing the sales season.
Auch die schönste Ernte ist mal zu Ende 🚜 Viel Erfolg dann für das nächste Jahr! Der atemberaubende Sonnenuntergang entschädigt für den harten Arbeitstag. 🧑🌾🧑🔧🙋🇩🇪
Still learning the combine. This kind of thing always happens with ANY machinery, large or small. You’re very patient and it would seem you’d like to rip that cb radio out and be left undisturbed ! Your Dad is a patient guy, he loves having you work with him. And after a tough day, you still appreciate God’s gifts to us. Great video !
Love the flag on the combine. If you clean out all the elevators and augers on those combines before parking them up, you will flush out the last few subscribers to get over the line on 50K. You've had a great harvest.
I applaud your work towards building your own business. Also, your work on the farm. I am glad that there’s social media outlets that allow to earn money too.
So nice to see a young girl listen to her dad the way Kate does.

Kate- remember -- the only people that don't make mistakes are people that don't do anything!!!
Thank you for your fantastic advice!!! You made my day!
Thank you for your kind words and wonderful encouragement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were potato harvesting once and a field mouse appeared in between spuds rocks and dirt, fair play I thought little tiny mouse living though the truma of going through a potato harvester , picked mouse up jumped off digger places mouse on ground gave me a lovely feeling till a kestrel spotted it ,😯
OH!!! That was so sweet, until the ending! LOL Thank you for your great story!
Keep up the good work!! The world needs more women like yourself that don’t mind manual labor, getting their hands dirty and working hard. Plus, you make it look good!!
Thank you for your amazing kindness and wonderful encouragement!!!!!
I had to watch again, very very nice!😍😍😍❤️
Thank you for your kindness!
What a lovely golden hour you captured with your camera. Congratulations on another harvest completed.
Thank you for your kindness!!!
Thank you for your great story and kind words!!! I agree the country is pretty good.
LOL! Thank you for your wonderful and kind words!!!! I am not really sure how my white vest stayed white!!!!! LOL
@@KatesAg I don't know how you kept that vest white either 🤔 You must be an angel 😁
U hit the nail on the head
Thank you for your kind words and great suggestion.
Thank you for your wonderful and kind words!!! You made my day!
Doing small mistankes , being able to laugh at you’re selv , learning from mistakes: This is life ! You Are a clever girl.
Thank you for your wonderful and kind words!!!!!!!!!! You made my day!!!
Don't be too hard on yourself Kate, we're all human. Consider it an experience and a life lesson, you've gone through it and now you know how to deal with it. Great sunset to end harvest season!
Thank you for your wonderful and kind words and great encouragement!!!!!
Declogging! A dirty job done with grace and style...and pearl earrings! Well done!
LOL!! Thank you for your great and wonderful words!!!!

Thank you for your kind words!!! I am getting good at harvesting dirt! LOL
Excellent job Kate. Sometimes problems in the field do happen. I like the fact you're willing to get in and fox the problem.
Nice pun Lawrence! You inferring she was digging in the dirt like a fox. Or was that autocorrects sense of humor?
@Lawrence Ornelas Thank you for your kind words!!!
@Earl Hollar Mr. Hollar you are hilarious!!!!!

This is my favorite channel, Your video was great, it shows that things can go wrong and you just work through it. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your awesome. you made my day
that dirt will go through the machine for the most part.. or at least on our machines we just feed more crop in to clean it lol
LOL! Thank you for your great story!
Hey Kate.. just something I wanted to point out to you that you might want to watch yourself on.
Thank you for your great advice and kindness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You need a giant shop vac to help with those dirt-y chores.! Keep up the good work. Maybe when we eat some pasta we can say "you know Kate probably save us from some dirt in our pasta! lol.
LOL! Thank you for your hilarious and kind words!!!! Great suggestion too!!!!!
Kate your alright your Dad is giving you good lessons just love watching you Kate your so sweet and you did it right
Thank you for your kindness!!!
Good job Kate, everybody has days like that sometime in their life it helps us learn to be better
Yes I agree it was a great experience! Thank you for your kind words!
Thank you for your kind words and great advice
Grow up dude, her dad was there with her and I am sure he would put her into a dangerous situation!!!
Talk about the money shot while working on the header....lol....your cute👍
Thank you for your kindness Mr. Munoz!
That's how I'm learning. I'm glad it's not a lot of trouble. My voice is getting smaller with a sense of guilt. Still, I really like your bright voice.
Thank you for your great story and kind words!!!!
It's not good to get overwhelmed with guilt. God gives us second chances! :)
@@JonathanGillies thank you
Just shows that even the most experienced "drivers" will at times have situations that they've never done before! YOU go girl! But there is good news with this, your Dad was there to assist you and reassure you, you understand that stuff happens no matter how careful you are, and just use a good attitude to get the "repair" done. I really appreciate your videos.
Thank you for your kindness!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kate's Bulldozer Combine, LOL! You love your work and we all love watching your work videos, thank you your dad and family!
LOL! Thank you for your great and kind words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@KatesAg thank you, that makes good sense. May I ask how long have you been farming? You always seem so cool under pressure!
Further to my previous comment: according to NASD Agri Engineering they say: "Don't rely on the hydraulic system for support when working under the machine header. Always use the stops or supports provided on the machine. If no safety device is provided, block the header securely".
Thank you for your great advice!
Kate, you were wearing a white jacket when down cleaning the front of the header, how did you stay so clean looking? When I service machinery I get covered in dirt and grease.
LOL! I have no idea!!! It amazes me too! Thank you for your great comment!
There's always next year to harvest I love all your videos it's amazing how old you are and showing the people how farming is
Thank you for your kind words and great encouragement!
You are so welcome very beautiful young lady working with heavy equipment on farming the first time I will ever see a woman doing a man's job everybody has to be created equal job is a job no matter what does a man or a woman Marcus work any kind of job keep in touch each other peace out goodnight
Beautiful Montana Sunset!
Thank you I agree the sunsets are beautiful
I happen to be somewhat of an armchair expert when it comes to Wrangler Jeans. It is my semi-professional opinion that these are among the nicest ones on UA-cam.
Just a friendly reminder, a combine is not a potato digger 🤣
How about just skipping the last day of harvest every year, then things should be fine 🤔🤣
Glad that the harvest season went pretty well. Now I guess it's time for cleanup and hoping for good prices on the grains doing the sales season.
LOL!!! Thank you for your great and kind words!!!
Good job kate stop laying around. Funniest comment of the year. Well done, everybody has some tough days.
LOL!!! Yes I agree!!! thank you for your great comment and kindness!!
Auch die schönste Ernte ist mal zu Ende 🚜 Viel Erfolg dann für das nächste Jahr! Der atemberaubende Sonnenuntergang entschädigt für den harten Arbeitstag. 🧑🌾🧑🔧🙋🇩🇪
Ja, ich stimme voll und ganz zu! Der Sonnenuntergang entschädigt für den schwierigen Tag! Danke für deine wundervollen und lieben Worte!
Thank you for your wonderful and kind words!!! I am so very grateful for all the wonderful opportunities I have!!!!!
Love the flag on the combine. If you clean out all the elevators and augers on those combines before parking them up, you will flush out the last few subscribers to get over the line on 50K. You've had a great harvest.
Your agriculture machine's hi tech. Sana All
Thank you for your great comment!
Greetings from Poland😜I love you😍
Hello from Montana! Thank you!
I applaud your work towards building your own business. Also, your work on the farm. I am glad that there’s social media outlets that allow to earn money too.
