They're not late-game towers, that's true, they don't scale well into freeplay, with some exceptions. That's not their niche, though; it feels unfair to compare an AoW or a Sun God to a boomerang. What the primary towers excel in is in being consistent stepping stones. It's very cheap to get the primary towers and their strongest buffs (top path village,) and that allows you to save up ridiculous amounts of money for an actual late-game or even mid-game defense with minimal effort. I'm not saying that there aren't other towers that can do that, like subs or druids. But it just feels like primary towers, properly supported, offer you an excellent return on investment, provided that you understand that the investment is miniscule and so the return on it won't scale into late game. But it will allow you to set up what does scale into late game without issue. Granted I'm missing a major area of data for these claims; I don't like or play races. Though from what I gather, scatter bombs and some of the tack shooters are king in that mode. But it feels like even on Advanced and Expert CHIMPS maps, often a primary strategy just allows me to play very hands-off while I transition into the mid-late game carries. I think ease of use and adequacy almost universally across the early game deserves higher praise.

Spectre F tier 💀 Bro that thing is what carries me in my games, 80% of my strategy depends on it and the 2-0-3 upgrade, it's what makes me able to beat expert maps with ease. I still respect your opinion though.
Firstly, thank you for your content, I black bordered all Expert maps and got 100% achievements a while back, so I've been taking a break ever since the Jungle's Bounty vines buff came out, so I may not be up to date as much, however I think you're severely underestimating how good Psi is. For reference, you can beat almost any Expert Map CHIMPS run using Darts/Subs/Snipers for the first 10/14 rounds, Psi and 1/2 Druid of the Jungle or 1 Jungle's Bounty for the early/mid game, and transition into anything you want for the late game as Psi is very flexible with strategies. I used Psi on most Expert CHIMPS runs as they can be your solo camo tower till R45, got a ton of utility with the abilities and the global range, as well as solo multiple late-game rounds including getting R98 with a single button click. I also believe people never use a regular TSG if you have access to VTSG except when used with only Support sacrifices for challenges/tests so it should theoretically be down to D or F as it has no actual use. Again, thank you for your content, you're the main reason I can even play this game.
5-0-2 mortar is super underrated. Whenever anyone talks about mortar it's always middle or bottom path, which are good yes, but top path with burny stuff is just incredible, a nuke that burns everything to a crisp.
Bottom path ace is great. More pierce is B. Centered path is D. Neva-miss and specter is A. Big plane is C. Monkey ace excels at: global range, ignoring obstacle, damage, while not having to focus on a single lane (unlike the heli). The main disadvantage of this tower is the low accuracy and bottom path fixes it making the tower less reliant on micro. More pierce helps ace to deal with group large groups, but due to already having high pierce it is not as important as for other tower. Centered path make the ace path be independent of its placement but wingmonkey is often a better alternative. Neva-miss is one of my favorite upgrades. I no longer need to micro, just put it down with an alch and watch it shred the mid game. Specter heavily increases its damage and is worth it in my opinion. Big plane, however is too expensive for most cases, but is very powerful nonetheless.
I use moab mauler for its high moab damage and low damage to other bloons. This make it the best tower to pop moab in a bloon trap farm. Put a mauler on strong at the start of the track put bloon trap and rubber to gold alch. I would put them at B tier.
Brickell also has some late game viability. She isn't as good as Ezili or Adora for it, but her ability to buff the VTSG when it's on water is pretty good.
The only argument I would make is for moving etienne to A because he saves you from spending 2k on village camo so you can get those beloved 202 jungle drums discount villages
@pmfcgaming all I'm saying is there is a reason that discount villages are S tier, so being able to get those without needing to buy multiple villages (yes, I know the effect stacks) is a big deal. Additionally, his lvl 10 ability is a great mid game save-up. I think both of those make him great for chimps and most game modes, thus in the A tier instead of B
@@michaelweitzel10 220 radar drums under a 002 discount doesn't even cost that much, and even then, decamo like flare and sns under a discount is still better than using a hero slot for camo detection when you realize there's heroes that can use the slot to its best like brickell ( megamines stacking deletes 80s and 90s ), ezili ( hex does the same but weaker ), jones ( insane synergy with the paa meta ), adora ( easily the best dps wincon hero at 20 ), and geraldo. UCAV isn't also even that good, it's active 1/3rd of the time for a somewhat decent burst, is also quite weak at 20 when it isn't active. The drones are okay and does break bfb and moab layers later in the game but that's about it. Eti is pretty much outclassed as a dps hero with a niche of global camo which is also outclassed by flare and sns.
@@michaelweitzel10 you can just use a hero thats good at DPS to save on not having to soen money on DPS towers though. And youd save more than the cost of a camo village.
Yeah, it didn't get a very fair evaluation, everything A tier pretty much doesn't work on expert maps. You need several cleanup defenses per lane, but you also need a global, spectre is that global, it's a bargain compared to cheap bulk damage per lane
@@RoundShadesexpert maps aren’t about strategies, they almost always have a specific early-game and a lot of strategies don’t work as well on them. But, yeah i agree that spectre should have been rated higher. The main thing is it doesn’t have a good late game becuase it cant transition into a t5 like most towers. This mid-game only use is likely why it was rated low.
@@ammonbergevin5302 1-40 is considered early, 40-80 is considered midgame, the rest is late. Spectre midgame is just overspending without getting much use of that money spent when lategame hits. A tower within the same price range, savatar, is miles better both crosspath wise ( kb for utility or mid path for range + pierce lategame ) and alch synergy.
glaive ricochet and moar glaives that low is absolutely flabbergasting to me, glaive lord ok yeah it's map dependant and dunking on it has become a meme at this point but the other two feel really good for their price honestly
Lol rip in peace the glaive lord. I've never had it overwhelmed in an actual game and it cleans up cerams really well. Plus the dot is alright, but not great. It struggles against f-moabs even, which doesn't give it a good reputation for a 40k (I think) tower. Now you should do a chimps run with all f tier towers. Love the videos man!
Specte in F tier is absolutely wild. Its like my default unit for a lot of the more difficult Chimps maps because it has global targetting and a shit ton of damage. You can just ignore the vast majority of map mechanics because it targets all
Suggestion for future tierlists - assign a color to upgrades, that will entail which niche of the game the upgrade most excels at. For example let recursive cluster be green background because green means it is best used in races. So everybody could see at a glance which towers should be shifted up when used in their niches.
Blooncin is about on par with Pop and Awe. I used him when attempting a 4TC to round 140 and was the tower to carry the game as I waited on every upgrade to purchase.
i mean, with the new Monkey knowledge, grand sabo actually is bad for late game, as the ninjagon BAD slowdown + sticky bomb is way more important than like 1/2 of the bads having 15% less HP
The way I see it, shimmer is a slightly more expensive submerge and support but that can be placed on land, so I think it would make sense for them to be in the same tier
@@HenryChen-g5k it has a big range tho so if you give it enough track length it can decamo everything. I don't use signal flare enough to know how good it is tho
I use specter so much lol, it's a pretty good price for full map coverage and pretty good damage. nevamiss is pretty decent early game too with alch buff. I think you may be sleeping on specter
It's not as good as almost every other map wide tower. If you like the tower than use it but it makes it harder to save for better towers. Especially if you're black bordering expert maps.
Instabil concotion is one of the best 3rd tiers and I would rate as a S to A tier (damage per price is so huge at 80 plus rounds). Glaive Lord is C because on easy maps he can solo into the 80s. The hidden camo feature is also nice and do not forget that this tower can be the only choice for some challanges. I think I agree with 90% of your selections.
Recomendation, you have completed chims with the worst paths, but now you made own list, so you should probably try completing chips only using F monkeys/Upgrades
if chimps gamemode didn't exist (ie. it's feature of disabling monkey money), most aces would definitely be at least A because wingmonkey makes it so incredibly versatile.
Now beat a game of chimps, using only upgrades from each of the tiers (cannot drop a tower until you have enough cash to get the upgrade from that tier)
I think 0-3-0 farm should be higher as its one of the best self-paying farms, and 2-0-0 on S tier cuz its the crosspath you use for all farms and the farm you always spam if you go for farms at all
I think Really big bombs upgrade is underrated and hated on too much. Crosspathing it 3-0-2 allows for a reliable popping power up to round 40 moab and when upgraded to bloon impact it gest a huge spike in power having power to solo round 63. Oh and also WHY GLAVE LORD IT'S GOOD NOT BAD SAME FOR MOAR AND RICOCHET 😭
Bloon buster is actually stronger for its price now than it used to be. While yes it went from a 100% to 50% DPS increase. The actual flat DPS increase is the exact same. +1 DPS. Or however often it attacks. And now youre prob asking how its better than before. Thats because it now pope 3 layers at a time. Meaning instead of popping say a white into a yellow it pops a white into a green. Making it much slower and increasing how much time it/your other towers have to shoot those bloons.
i think my biggest disagreement is definitely solver. in pretty much any situation aside from moab class bloons, it takes care of anything that leaks out, and fits really well into any strategy where you use a tower with high moab class damage. on longer maps it can almost solo 98 as well (and can with a couple buffs) and for a T5 isnt that expensive either. i definitely would give it at least A but probably S.

Kind of annoyed at the community for not using them. I beat most maps with The Biggest One. It's an amazing tower to super buff.
5-0-2 mortar is super underrated. Whenever anyone talks about mortar it's always middle or bottom path, which are good yes, but top path with burny stuff is just incredible, a nuke that burns everything to a crisp.
Thank you ISAB for choosing between tops and bottoms so we can make playing not so hard and long
XDDD
Frag bombs give bomb shooter the ability to pop black bloons, I would put it in A tier for removing its main weakness.
I use moab mauler for its high moab damage and low damage to other bloons. This make it the best tower to pop moab in a bloon trap farm. Put a mauler on strong at the start of the track put bloon trap and rubber to gold alch. I would put them at B tier.
Sauda giving you a free win on all easy map should put her at least in A.
Less than 3 minutes in and my baby boy specter is dumped into F tier.
My baby boy!
Brickell also has some late game viability. She isn't as good as Ezili or Adora for it, but her ability to buff the VTSG when it's on water is pretty good.
new series idea: use only S/A/B/C/D/F tier towers to beat chimps
cant wait to use these in double cash half cash!
The only argument I would make is for moving etienne to A because he saves you from spending 2k on village camo so you can get those beloved 202 jungle drums discount villages
Then use bejamin.
So you'd rather sacrifice a hero slot for a radar scanner?
Sprockets is surprisingly good for the price in my opinion
I still wish they just got rid of Bomb Blitz’s leak mechanic thing and replaced it with a cool upgrade, like cluster bombs that home in on targets
now i'm waiting for the tier list of every single hero level
thank you isab, for separating the monkeys by how useful they are for you
Thank you ISAB for ranking how effective everything is as popping the bloons
ISAB: "I'm going to rank these in their niche"
Also ISAB: Immediately ignores this rule
I'm not gonna lie Spectre goes hard mid game, Spectre + summon Phoenix feels like the easiest mid game save in my life on multi lane maps
Spectre also costs 30k, which for a midgame, is already overspending.
@@pmfcgaming wait, is mid game 20-60 or 60-90
@@ammonbergevin5302 1-40 is considered early, 40-80 is considered midgame, the rest is late. Spectre midgame is just overspending without getting much use of that money spent when lategame hits. A tower within the same price range, savatar, is miles better both crosspath wise ( kb for utility or mid path for range + pierce lategame ) and alch synergy.
Thank you isab for putting yourself at f tier
Isab is the flying fortress not specter
glaive ricochet and moar glaives that low is absolutely flabbergasting to me, glaive lord ok yeah it's map dependant and dunking on it has become a meme at this point but the other two feel really good for their price honestly
Avatar of Wrath did not get S because it’s not great in CHIMPS. Flavored trades… S tier.
because its so good in what it does that it can be ignored, unlike avatar
Specte in F tier is absolutely wild. Its like my default unit for a lot of the more difficult Chimps maps because it has global targetting and a shit ton of damage. You can just ignore the vast majority of map mechanics because it targets all
I take 51 minutes to poop…
Perfect video to watch
thankyou isab for ranking the monkey upgrades
Suggestion for future tierlists - assign a color to upgrades, that will entail which niche of the game the upgrade most excels at. For example let recursive cluster be green background because green means it is best used in races.
So everybody could see at a glance which towers should be shifted up when used in their niches.
You missed an opportunity to add the rank "I" over S to make "ISAB"
Blooncin is about on par with Pop and Awe. I used him when attempting a 4TC to round 140 and was the tower to carry the game as I waited on every upgrade to purchase.
Yeah it's actually so underrated
i mean, with the new Monkey knowledge, grand sabo actually is bad for late game, as the ninjagon BAD slowdown + sticky bomb is way more important than like 1/2 of the bads having 15% less HP
The way I see it, shimmer is a slightly more expensive submerge and support but that can be placed on land, so I think it would make sense for them to be in the same tier
Signal flare and sub are so much better than shimmer because shimmer has such a slow attack speed
@@HenryChen-g5k it has a big range tho so if you give it enough track length it can decamo everything.
I don't use signal flare enough to know how good it is tho
Bloon solver my goat fr. Good damage, cheap tier 5 and the tower I always get on my Impoppable runs
I use specter so much lol, it's a pretty good price for full map coverage and pretty good damage. nevamiss is pretty decent early game too with alch buff. I think you may be sleeping on specter
For 21k it's really bad, falls off hard lategame too
It's not as good as almost every other map wide tower. If you like the tower than use it but it makes it harder to save for better towers. Especially if you're black bordering expert maps.
He really said ezili is the king of late game
Spectator is really good for rounds 50-80 with really high popping power
10:09 moar glave is really good for cleanup and round 63 clean up should be a. Same with glavelord it carried me in chimps with it's clean up
Sprockets are better than double gun
Crossbow master is just as cheap as specter and can solo until 90 on some maps. It also can damage ddts
Although shooting over walls can make specter the better option in some cases
@@manachromeYTtop path boomerang upgrades are really map dependent and are useless/simply outclassed in harder maps
Interesting seeing how this differs from what id say is good in battles 2
Thank you oh so graciously for this I Suck At Battles
Thank you isab for helping me complete my advanced algebra 2 homework before 51 minutes
Glaive lord is too expensive for what it does, and only works on easy maps
Worst tier 5 by far
Alternate title: ISAB being mental and roasting faster darts
Recomendation, you have completed chims with the worst paths, but now you made own list, so you should probably try completing chips only using F monkeys/Upgrades
You should make videos playing with only one specific tier towers, like chimps with only tier F towers.
if chimps gamemode didn't exist (ie. it's feature of disabling monkey money), most aces would definitely be at least A because wingmonkey makes it so incredibly versatile.
Now beat a game of chimps, using only upgrades from each of the tiers (cannot drop a tower until you have enough cash to get the upgrade from that tier)
thank you ISAB for rating ones all the way to fives.
Thank you ISAB for ranking the monkeys
I've been waiting for this
Nah putting specter at F tier is crazy. It’s not that bad
This is the kind of content I've been waiting for 😎 HOUR LONG ISAB!!!!
I think 0-3-0 farm should be higher as its one of the best self-paying farms, and 2-0-0 on S tier cuz its the crosspath you use for all farms and the farm you always spam if you go for farms at all
I use Spectere a lot😭😭 mainly on maps where global vision is needed and i wanna be lazy
Nice. Can't wait for the "All cross paths" video...lol
Intel needs S-Tier tbh, so good for bottom path sub and early game OP
THIS IS A VIDEO WE DIDNT KNOW WE NEEDED
51 mins of edging… I can’t wait!! 😊🥰
👃
👾
i love how 000 dart monkey is above multiple t5's and both engineer and wizard paragons
anything isab says is %100 factual and anyone who disagrees is just wrong
I think top path engineer is super good for early game depending on map
Bottom path better tbh
I think Really big bombs upgrade is underrated and hated on too much. Crosspathing it 3-0-2 allows for a reliable popping power up to round 40 moab and when upgraded to bloon impact it gest a huge spike in power having power to solo round 63. Oh and also WHY GLAVE LORD IT'S GOOD NOT BAD SAME FOR MOAR AND RICOCHET 😭
crows nest + hot shot is good for soloing 0-30, handy for 2tc or least tiers challenges.
Thank you isab for ranking all bloon poppers in btd6
I knew that this 1 hr video would surely gain more views, please upload more long videos 😊
i think my biggest disagreement is definitely solver. in pretty much any situation aside from moab class bloons, it takes care of anything that leaks out, and fits really well into any strategy where you use a tower with high moab class damage. on longer maps it can almost solo 98 as well (and can with a couple buffs) and for a T5 isnt that expensive either. i definitely would give it at least A but probably S.
Stupid take
Ez colect is VERY good with bank in late game when your busy with micro and stuff
Bold putting Heli Faster Darts in S tier but you do you ISAB
Thank you for using my template. 👀
Thank you ISAB for giving me 51 minutes for the best content
