7:25 the rifle was given to reese by his father. It's a custom 300 win mag. At this point in the book he can't go back to his home to get any other weapons other than what he took when he went on the run. Also it plays to his benefit because when the Wyoming sherif investigation decides that the round was a hunters mistake shooting over a hill during deer season.

To try to center the story on the main character's TEAM of guys, while keeping all the bad guys super generic, AND then....also have close to zero character development for the main guys. Just keep everything as generic as possible! Just 2D people everywhere, as far as the eye can see....And every single time the audience thinks they MIGHT get a glipse of something interesting about the characters, you should just have them monologue cliches instead. And then, when you're done with that, you should literally copy and paste dialogue from 1 episode to the next, as if we're all still living in the 90s and no one can binge watch all the episodes back to back. imagine for a moment... just a moment... if all the characters were fleshed out, and the action was actually there, and the viewer understood who the bad guys are and the show felt like it has real steaks, not just generic everything....How much more satisfying all the REAL action could have been. I could actually care about door kicking! Easily one of the most fun shows to hit screens in the last decade. EASILY! no contest. But no. No that was not possible to do. Instead we have to watch all the life get sucked out of this concept, bc someone made the decision that what people really want to see is hampsters on a wheel instead, copy-pasted dialogue, and random cheap drama. The over-the-top gut move is from the Native American tribe in Cuylerville known as "The Torture Tree", where they go even more over the top. It works well with the tomahawk, and the maker of the famous tomahawk, Winkler Knives, also did the props for Last Of The Mohicans.
Lever actions are great for follow up shots. The rifle featured is a bolt action, which isn’t as fast as a lever gun, but is equally capable in proficient hands.

I feel like the Army Commendation is said to make it seem like its rare for a SEAL to have an Army Medal. I didn't take it as them making it seem better than a silver star, just being strange a SEAL has one meaning he has done some strange things. Even the way she says it doesn't sound like she is trying to make it sound super prestigious, more like "and somehow he has this kind of thing." Also I find it funny everything I like about the show, like the character build up, is what Sean hates lmao. I also find it shocking you like Seal Team as the couple episodes I watched it seemed super cheesy. Maybe I just watched a bad episode or two idk. Gonna have to give it another shot as it seems like a show I would love.
I got to my duty station been watching your videos since the beginning getting my paperwork in order to go to selection. You have been a great help and a big motivator. Keep doing your thing!
Bro I love Buck so much, “if he’s the breacher he should have the short shotgun!” Then describes from experience why the shorty shotgun sucks so much for breaching cause it hurts your hands/ face from shrapnel. The exact thing the longer barrel shotgun helps prevent. Love this show!
In the book it tells how he did recon, had his DOPE book, took weather, wind and temp observations. He tracked that target for a week I believe. The hill was actually a particular place where no cell service was, so there's no chance to have the kill recorded or EMS called. And the rifle was a custom made rifle that was super accurate that his father, also a Team guy, had made and was something Reese had for a single shot kill to appear as a hunting accident.
About the thing with the intestines… that’s either a Viking or Native American way of executing enemies. Reese is literally “getting medieval” on his his ass.
I’m not defending bringing a shotgun to a rifle fight, BUT the advantage of a shotgun is being able to top off your magazine (whatever it’s called on shotgun). So he CAN reload even if he doesn’t HAVE to. Of course, he could have just brought a rifle with a 30 round mag and not worry about it at all.
I have read one of Jack Carr's books and have listened to his podcast. One point he makes is that these novels for him were cathartic, because he had felt betrayed by politicians and higher-ups in the military. It is one reason that some of the bad guys are admirals and things like that. So yes, it was "just about a guy getting revenge," but I think it is much deeper based on that.
The shotgun guy (forgot his name lmao) loads a slug before shooting the dudes holding the hostages. He clearly pulls back the charging handle to get the buckshot round out and puts a slug in.
I found I enjoy the show at new levels when I fast forward through what Sean says but repeat Kurt's dialogue and listen to it a few times. Like I gain some wisdom.
hate it or love it, its was great seeing Chris playing this role. i think his acting was top tier. Also SEAL team show is by far one of my all time favorite shows and idk how many times i commented trying to get you to react. Max as Clay Spencer and his evolution through the series was amazing.
Buck is accurate about watching Terminal List while doing errands. Before they reviewed this show months ago, i was literary cleaning my house while the show was playing 😂
I agree this show is cheeks. I also agree that Seal Team is the best fictional modern military media in existence. I never thought the dude from bones could play a grizzled seal team leader, its honestly wild.
For the record, the Distinguished Service Cross is the award that is closest to the Medal of Honor. Not the Silver Star. If you were put in for the Medal of Honor and ended up with a Silver Star it means somewhere along the line they downgraded your award twice... Finally, the Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM) can be given with a "V" decide (Valor) or "C" device (Combat) according to regulations. In fact, I got one for a particular firefight in Afghanistan in 2006. The problem is that this usually occurs when your leadership should have recommended you for a Bronze Star and someone else downgraded it, but still needed to signify that it refers to a combat action rather than administrative action. In my case (and the case of many others in my unit) we weren't downgraded. Our leadership (being the jerks they were) recommended us specifically for the ARCOM with "V" device instead of the Bronze Star because they were recommending each other for the Bronze Star for administrative accomplishments. They were deliberately downgrading their initial recommendations so as to not overshadow their own recommendations for the Bronze Star for administrative actions which (by today's military tradition) is not what the Bronze Star is for. I kid you not, one of the E6s in my unit got a Bronze Star for running a chow hall which did not even exist where we were located. It was just an excuse to recommend their buddy for one. Meanwhile, actions of valor in a firefight received the ARCOM with "V" device... Bad leadership all around.
The worst part about the football watching scene was that it starts with her saying "We just need a stop, one stop!" (meaning her team is on defense). Then the announcers are saying oh and he's off to the races, then it shows her cheering for the offense who is about to score? The only explanation is a turnover, but there was no indication of one.
I love your honesty. I’m uk don’t know anything about military, guns, fighting etc so I was shocked when I saw everyone liking it especially military and gun fans ( I disliked it )
I hope they make a TV series out of every Jack Carr novel and you review them all. Watching Sean's rants on this one are better than any other "Beers & Breakdowns" episodes. So entertaining.
I enjoy the book more than the show because of the detail and further explanation of certain things. I even went to the length of annotating the margins with I only do with field manuals and non fiction books.

Yes, Seal Team is better. Six is worth watching but it’s just not on the same level. I would still check out both… Six has one overall story while Seal Team is more individual episodes (some story span multiple episodes) but the character development is what grows over the season versus everything leading to the proverbial final showdown.
I LOVED Buck’s reaction to this. I am a huge fan of The Terminal List series and all SIX books… it’s ok if you don’t like the show! That doesn’t mean you’re a bad person; it just means you have different tastes in shows. 😂😂😂
I really liked Terminal List but, I really love how hard core Buck's hatred is on it. He has drawn that line in the sand and he is dying on that cross!
I understand your frustration. I love the show, but the books are amazing! There are 6 books. Stay blessed guys! ✊🏽💪🏽💙

There was almost a glimpse of what REAL character development could have looked like...She was one of the best actors in this series, and had almost zero scenes, bc she had to die, so that the main character had to be given shitty formulaic lines and side plots to do instead! Like a hampster on a wheel. We're watching movie series which are the equivalent of watching a hampster on a wheel and rooting for it to ''win". It's not healthy, guys.
imagine for a moment... just a moment... if all the characters were fleshed out, and the action was actually there, and the viewer understood who the bad guys are and the show felt like it has real steaks, not just generic everything....How much more satisfying all the REAL action could have been.
Yep. Yeah...
@@andrabook8758 Wow... you need to relax, rofl. 🤣
@@lathspell87 no, i need the people who make movies to quit it with the repetitive stupid crap.
@@lathspell87 you have not noticed how literally everything on TV lately is a re-run, re-imagining, re-telling, etc. lately? Name 1 original thing that's come out in the last 5 years? They used to have new material all. the. time. And there's been nothing but re-imaginings for years now. All formulaic. All with an agenda. All the exact same.
OMFG SEAL Team Rocks!
Kurt is a vibe.
Sean, you're just wrong & that's ok. We're all wrong sometimes. thanks for another great episode Gentlemen 🤣🇺🇲
33:55 I think he was supposedly putting that slug you're mentioning later.
I swear buck is 100% right about the show glad to see he enjoys seal team though which is way better than terminal list
oh, gawd....I am soooo sorry for you that you think that show is great. Society has let you down, you have let yourself down, I trully weep for how low your standards for good TV are... 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 😭😭😭😭😭
btw, your username is amusing...I am familiar with sheep dogs. They agree with me on this show! 😈
@@davidjob4909 YES! :) and if you don't believe me, you would have to prove me wrong :D.

This was one of the funniest B&B to date 😂 great jobs guys
Lmfaaaaaooo “when’s the last time your M4 just magically broke?”
Marines: well let me tell ya…
Well if they stopped using them as hammers....
Hes EVEN got an ARCOM???? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 and bucks reaction to that is hilarious. Writers definitely jacked that up
I feel like the Army Commendation is said to make it seem like its rare for a SEAL to have an Army Medal.
Give it another chance. There is si much action, so real everything and good character build
I got to my duty station been watching your videos since the beginning getting my paperwork in order to go to selection. You have been a great help and a big motivator. Keep doing your thing!
get after it bro!
In Vietnam my Dad had a buddy who attacked a bunker with a shotgun and took the bunker. My Dad thought it was foolish.
I don’t understand how we’re meant to remember he’s a seal in this episode he didn’t once slowly emerge from the water
facts right here
In the book it tells how he did recon, had his DOPE book, took weather, wind and temp observations.
Buck clearly cant read
The point of the rifle was to make it look like a hunting accident if I remember the book correctly.
But seal teams is about devgru, not regular seal teams. Besides Taylor Grey is an ex delta operator, and the show has a lot of veterans
Can't wait until you comment on the the part where he falls down an entire mountain, snaps his body in two but still manages to finish the mission 🤣
9:40
He had to make it look like a hunting accident, so multiple shots on target is out of the question.
10:35 Sean’s face😅😂🤣😂🤣😅😂🤣
Also he’s using slugs the whole time, they’re just peddling new guns like the beretta 1301 shotgun and James Reese’s BCM recce 14.5 inch.
I had the exact same reaction to the arcom scene as you upon my 1st viewing.
He clearly pulls back the charging handle to get the buckshot round out and puts a slug in.
yes if you're attached or assigned to a SMU/ Joint units you end up with a lot different service awards .
silver star still trumps an ARCOM
@@FNGACADEMY just a bit
i think the army accommodation award thing was suppose to be an easter egg for military people watching the show. :)
Accommodation award? Is that for booking great hotel rooms while on "deployment"? I thought only the Air Force gives those out.
Love hearing your banter dudes. Just found this channel and have had a great time going thru the vids.
Kurt is awesome. this show is awesome. keep it up!
I found I enjoy the show at new levels when I fast forward through what Sean says but repeat Kurt's dialogue and listen to it a few times. Like I gain some wisdom.
Agreed. Buck is hilarious but Kurt is the MVP
"we film them in batches" it makes so much sense why some are more unhinged now lmao. Love it
hate it or love it, its was great seeing Chris playing this role. i think his acting was top tier.
Also, if Buck did his own show, there would be a silent episode.
and more death then john wick
The show: Emotional Family stuffs
Sean with Daddy issues: It sucks
Hey geniuses. Most of us took the army commendation medal as a matter of interesting fact that he was navy getting it.
Keep up 😂
I agree this show is cheeks. I also agree that Seal Team is the best fictional modern military media in existence. I never thought the dude from bones could play a grizzled seal team leader, its honestly wild.
Kurt and Buck going at it is killing me 🤣
You hating it kinda make it more fun to watch 😂
see! we all win lol
Ben Edwards just really wanted to try the Beretta 1301.
Just remember, Rambo was an ex-Green beret…….
Comparing Seal Team 2017 to Terminal list is very bad of you. Seal team is a masterpiece and had 6seasons and even got renewed for S7
Can't wait to see episode 5 reaction.. that has the best action scene in the series 🔥
SEAL team would've been a good show if they hadn't given the characters the personalities of teenagers in a high school drama
Bro when the ARCOM with c device had me dying🤣🤣🤣
I love your honesty. I’m uk don’t know anything about military, guns, fighting etc so I was shocked when I saw everyone liking it especially military and gun fans ( I disliked it )
Always so funny to watch you guys. Have a good one 🤙
Buck is right! I am big fan of Jack Carr books. I have all of them that are publicated in my country ( Bulgaria). All 4 of them. And that's why i expected more from this show.
Seal team is great but early seasons. Still i am excited to see season 7.
Beers and breakdowns is my favorite UA-cam show!! You are great guys!!!
Interesting fact: both Chris Pratt & Taylor Kitsch play SEALS in other movies. Also, is Seal Team series better than “Six” Seal Team series?
Yes, Seal Team is better. Six is worth watching but it’s just not on the same level. I would still check out both… Six has one overall story while Seal Team is more individual episodes (some story span multiple episodes) but the character development is what grows over the season versus everything leading to the proverbial final showdown.
I LOVED Buck’s reaction to this. I am a huge fan of The Terminal List series and all SIX books… it’s ok if you don’t like the show! That doesn’t mean you’re a bad person; it just means you have different tastes in shows. 😂😂😂
thank you! some of you want me to choke on a ham sandwich over this lmao
I really liked Terminal List but, I really love how hard core Buck's hatred is on it. He has drawn that line in the sand and he is dying on that cross!
I understand your frustration. I love the show, but the books are amazing! There are 6 books. Jack Carr said he’s working on a spin-off show with Taylor Kitsch, who plays Ben (his bestfriend) then he’s starting season 2, which is based off True Believer (Book 2). Great vid btw! Stay blessed guys! ✊🏽💪🏽💙
The Jack Carr tomahawk is made by Daniel Winkler. Seal Team 6 Red Team members get them when they make the Team. I've held one and they're AMAZING!
he used a hunting rifle because he wanted to make it look like a hunting accident. like a stray round on opening day of hunting season. that way it wouldn’t look like murder and nobody would get suspicious…yet.
Ahaha oh man the ARCOM line kills me every time I hear it
Can’t wait to see a review of The Unit!
Did anyone notice the car at 6:39 seconds rolls up towards the hill, then the next shot is the car falling off a cliff?
Shotguns are AWESOME, but that was a really dumb choice in that situation 😂
Looked like shotgun guy did a slug changeover @33:00, not flip up sights.
