Meta Quest 2 (aka Quest 2, they just rebranded the headset) counts as a “meta quest” headset. So you could in fact use an old quest 2 headset with a PC. I do agree though, no flat mode at release for a spoiler heavy game is a real bummer.

Another big problem for myself, and many fans is that between Steel Wool Studios not only continuing, but also doubling down on their bullshit; including having horrible things happen and forcing the player to do horrible things to sentient innocent instantly loveable child friendly characters: their references to rape (e.g. Roxy’s torn clothing and what they have her say after they force the player to mutilate her): and their rather peculiar obsession with children’s backpacks as heard in their interview: while at the same time, focussing their advertising and marketing of the game towards children: Steel Wool Studios Should be focussing on getting their metaphorical shit together and cleaning up the mess that they have made by redoing everything so that there is an actual happy ending where the player frees and saves the glamrock animatronics instead: and until they do, I and other fans will be boycotting the FNAF franchise in its entirety: and I ask and encourage everyone reading this to please do the same… I; even before we knew that they had decided to continue with their shit show; had sent Steelwool studios several emails asking them to make such an actual happy ending in which nothing horrible happens to any of the animatronics; the pizzaplex is left intact; and the player frees and saves them instead: and if anyone else reading this would like to send them an email as well all the needs to do is go to the contact section of their website., With that said; here is one of the best fan videos I have ever seen depicting such an actual happy ending: m.ua-cam.com/video/qIB7p4IHKJE/v-deo.html
For the record, you can actually Use Meta Quest 2 (aka the “original” Quest 2, it was just rebranded) to Play Help Wanted 2 but you would still need to have a PC. The main roadblock is having a gaming PC which are unfortunately still expensive, but at least you don’t have to buy an expensive headset like an index on top of a PC, just a quest 2 will do. It’s still really unfortunate though that there is no flat mode at time of release.

Don't get me wrong i'm super hyped for HW2 but i wish steel wool put the game on the console that people actually have *cough*. ps4 and psvr1 *cough*. Seriously why'd they just completely skip over the ps4? they could've easily have put the game on there but they decided "nope screw ps4 players they don't deserve to play this game" ngl they really shot themselves in the foot with making HW2 a psvr2 and pc vr exclusive game because most of the fnaf fanbase doesn't own a psvr2 because the psvr2 is expensive af, same thing for pc vr, steel wool knows that most people have the ps4 instead because they can't afford the ps5 and psvr2 but they still went ahead and skipped over the ps4 and psvr1, i love steel wool and all but man do they make some questionable decisions sometimes

It's not about the fact that it's a VR game and it's for VR. It's about the fact that it's a game that's probably not going to be more than 30 bucks, being released exclusively for a VR system that hasn't even been out for a full year and is more expensive than an actual PS5 console. Majority of the audience Steel Wool is targeting are not even going to be able to play this game when it comes out.

And if your referring to the PSVR 2, im pretty sure more people will play it on PC than the PSVR2 since the only real “feature” thats exclusive is litteraly just an eye tracking tech demo.
