I was never there to see Andrew but I was lucky enough to see Alex when he was starting out as Connor and to say that he was absolutely phenomenal is an understatement.
Ethan Winograd He was an incredible Evan. I’m so sad to see him go but super excited to see Jordan tomorrow night for his first show. It’s always interesting to see how each actor brings their own interpretation of Evan. I also am a HUGE fan of Stephen Christopher Anthony in the role as well
I saw Andrew in September of 2019 and he was beyond amazing. I thank the producers for giving him the chance to play Evan. I hope that he is back to Broadway in the future. Break a leg Jordan Fisher.
I saw the show last August. I went in thinking I would see Andrew (last thing I said to my friend who's also a big DEH fan before leaving for New York was "I'll say hi to Andrew for you"). When I got there, I did not see Andrew but instead was blessed with the performance of Michael Lee Brown. I see Alex that night and his performance blew me away. They will be missed dearly at the Music Box.
i saw this cast in december. they were absolutely incredible and i’m so sad to see andrew and alex go but i’m excited for andrew to go to college and for alex to do amazing things too i’m sure
I've been waiting to watch this and cry the whole day and here were are. Thanks for providing me with the content to break my already broken heart :'')
I'm not so familiar with how broadway shows operate, but could someone explain why andrew would be leaving/and or why so many evan's have their final show after a year or two?
In general, leads on Broadway tend to perform for 9 months to a year. They like to keep the show and characters fresh so that's how long the contracts tend to be

the show is emotionally taxing on the guys who play evan so they suggest a year
@@lydialacey really? Emotionally taxing? That’s something I never thought I’d hear about the actors who play evan. Kinda crazy to think about
@@catalinadog157 i don’t know if they’ve said that but that would be my guess seeing as the character deals with anxiety and depression
@@lydialacey well it’s a pretty good guess, it’d make a lot of sense
