Saaiduna Umar bin Khattab Radiallahu Anhu narrates that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam when he used to raise his hands in supplication he did not place them down until he wiped his face with them (Sunan Tirimizi)
Yes you are right, let's don't believe this video, because this is how they use to misguide us that's why we have the rejection of Hadith today many people don't accept Hadith
This Hadith is not authentic. You should only follow authentic Hadiths when it comes to acts of worship.
Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is not known that anyone used to wipe his face after making Du`a except Al-Hasan. (Al-`Ilal Al-Mutanahiyah, 2/840, 841)
Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “With regard to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raising his hands when saying Du`a , there are many authentic Hadiths concerning this. However, regarding wiping his face with his hands, there are only one or two Hadiths concerning that, and they cannot be taken as evidence.” (Majmu` Al-Fatawa, 22/519)
Al-`Izz ibn `Abd As-Salam (may Allah have mercy on him) said: No one wipes his face with his hands after saying Du`a except one who is ignorant. (Fatawa Al-`Izz ibn `Abd As-Salam, p. 47)
This is number 3396 and it’s a weak Hadith.
@@alixx_legenddark_xx2819 Does not make it invalid
@@alimy1119 yes, but we usually reject such Hadiths since it could be fabricated.

It's not wrong. Don't let Wahabis make you look down on other Muslims because something not substantial.
Imam al-Nawawi said:

Wiping the face after dua is good manners in Islam said Imam al-Nawawi. So it's up to each of you whether you want to wipe your face or not.

I agree Akhi but as Muslims we have a duty to implement and practice the Sunnah. Small things may be trivial but grow into larger problems - this is how Shaitan operates. Evidences below from leading scholars, which backup what this Sheikh is saying.
Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is not known that anyone used to wipe his face after making Du`a except Al-Hasan. (Al-`Ilal Al-Mutanahiyah, 2/840, 841).
Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “With regard to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raising his hands when saying Du`aa, there are many authentic Hadiths concerning this. However, regarding wiping his face with his hands, there are only one or two Hadiths concerning that, and they cannot be taken as evidence.” (Majmu` Al-Fatawa, 22/519).
Al-`Izz ibn `Abd As-Salam (may Allah have mercy on him) said: No one wipes his face with his hands after saying Du`aa except one who is ignorant. (Fatawa Al-`Izz ibn `Abd As-Salam, p. 47)

JazakaAllah khayr for the clarification. A lot of us take an act of Hadith and extrapolate it too much as this is also the case with putting flowers on a grave when I questioned my aunty when she did that when my uncle passed away she quoted me that Hadith when a stick was placed on two graves by RasulAllah (saw) for shifa from punishment. We take certain one time acts too far and use them repeatedly when those acts were only done for that one specific purpose and not always done….

Wiping the hands on the face after dua:
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
- باب رفع الأيدي في الدعاء
609 - (ث 152) عَنْ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ - وَهُوَ: وَهْبٌ - قَالَ: رَأيتُ ابْنَ عُمر وَابْنَ الزبيرِ يَدعوان، يديرَانِ بَالرَّاحتين عَلى الوجه.
Abu Nu'aym, who is Wahb, said, "I saw Ibn 'Umar and Ibn az-Zubayr making supplication, cupping their palms in front of their faces."
[Al-Bukhaari in al-Adab al-Mufrad: 609, Hasan].
This is cupping of the hands, not wiping the face.
After dua wiping our face or holding our beard makes it feel complete and its not a bad thing to do

I have a question it is in hadith that prophet(PBUH) did rafayaden and when he didnt do rafayaden. So both are permitting why people who do rafayaden dont pray without it when they know prophet(Pbuh) didnt do rafayaden at times in his life?
We should follow sunna and both are permitted so both groups should follow both instances.
1. Example following Hadith mentions no rafayaden
Narrated Muhammad bin `Amr bin `Ata':
I was sitting with some of the companions of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and we were discussing about the way of praying of the Prophet. Abu Humaid As-Sa`idi said, "I remember the prayer of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) better than any one of you. I saw him raising both his hands up to the level of the shoulders on saying the Takbir; and on bowing he placed his hands on both knees and bent his back straight, then he stood up straight from bowing till all the vertebrate took their normal positions. In prostrations, he placed both his hands on the ground with the forearms away from the ground and away from his body, and his toes were facing the Qibla. On sitting In the second rak`a he sat on his left foot and propped up the right one; and in the last rak`a he pushed his left foot forward and kept the other foot propped up and sat over the buttocks."
Reference : Sahih al-Bukhari 828
In-book reference : Book 10, Hadith 222
2.example mentions rafayaden
Narrated Nafi`:
Whenever Ibn `Umar started the prayer with Takbir, he used to raise his hands: whenever he bowed, he used to raise his hands (before bowing) and also used to raise his hands on saying, "Sami`a l-lahu liman hamidah", and he used to do the same on rising from the second rak`a (for the 3rd rak`a). Ibn `Umar said: "The Prophet (ﷺ) used to do the same."

I don't think wiping your face will change what's in your heart...
Sometimes it's just natural to wipe face after dua with zero ill intention of any sort...don't make religion hard people..if there is no clear direct prohibition from the Al Quran and it comes from a hadith with different understandings and interpretations, just be lenient agree to disagree
Inni aamalu binniyaad
Thanks for the hadist... And i think it's not wrong to cup your hand and make dua then wipe your face...cause it's same as prophet Muhammad do. What time it is... Before sleep or after salah or between adzan and iqomah.. i think it's not a problem... Because.. we are more fragile than prophet.. so we do it more...
This is confusing
You get me scared i thought it was going to be haram because i do that every day

Brother i have a question, if we can't wipe our face after making dua then what will we do after making a dua?
Please brothers and sisters, what about making Dua'a after salat, is it prohibited, saw a random video on UA-cam it's not allowed to make dua after salat
Making Duaa at the end of every salat is not from the Sunnah. The prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said in an authentic Hadith that the best time to make Duaa is in prostration or before the tasleem during tahashud. It’s completely fine to make Duaa at anytime spontaneously or in exceptional cases after salat, but the issue is when it is done at the end of every salat consistently, as there is no such evidence of this in the authentic Sunnah. And Allah knows best.

since i was a kid 30yrs ago even before it was thought to wipe face after du’a. Why is it now making assumptions that is not allowed/valid?? What are the authentic source of this?
Someone please explain
Please pay attention to what he says, he didn't prohibit wiping of the face but rather clarify when and how to do it

@@ferdiferdinan2176 for example,if you pray for forgiveness, there's no need for you to wipe you face because that's not where You want the dua to work on but rather sincerity in your heart and actions

It's also does not harm the deen

The hadith of wiping the face is valid.
So stop telling people it is wrong because the prophet never restricts it.
It’s weak.
Weak does not make it invalid. As long as it is not fabricated, it can be followed and acted upon.
As a born Muslim and coming out of a pious home , i can say There's absolutely nothing wrong in wiping the face after duah. So many of haafith learners does it. ALLAH won't punish us for that. Everyone has their own way of doing things after duas. We've been doing it for years. Each and every sheikh/ moulana/ mufti etc has their own way of advising. No wonder the world are In chaos.
