I find it hard to be so envious of your life style, you're so switched on and stable yet down to earth. It makes alternative incomes look so tempting but also thinking - who the heck cares about my life, maybe when I eventually get pregnant 😅 xx

I'm the same, the income form youtube is up and down so I just save it up for a big thing in Google pay. Mine varies from £7-12 a week! you've done so well in such a short time! I'm hoping to grow more this year during my second maternity leave :) my channel is popular for ivf but hoping to direct it more to lifestyle like yours 🤩

Hi Shan loving your videos. I'm due in March I was thinking that another income stream would be useful for when I am on maternity as I get Statutory from day one but I was under the impression that you couldn't claim maternity if you have another income? How do you get around this so that you can still claim your maternity and then statutory maternity pay while you have money coming in from other sources? 💕

Hey lovely! I thought this too, but after researching, that’s not actually the case! As this is a ‘self employed’ job basically you can do it and still claim SMP! This is the website I used to work it out maternityaction.org.uk/advice/rights-for-parents-with-more-than-one-job/ 🥰

Ahh good question - so you tubers get slightly less of people skip the ads but a lot more if they’re not skipped 🥰 I had no idea about this before so I always watch the ads when I watch others now to help them out 💪🏼♥️
How did you get over the anxiety of starting UA-cam (if you experienced any)? I got a G7X back in may/June time as I wanted to start UA-cam whilst I was pregnant but my baby is now 3 months old and I've still done nothing 🤦 I feel super nervous about people I know seeing my videos 🙄

Yesss we love a side hustle! Do you watch Patricia Bright? The break platform is an account I find really inspiring! I really need to invest time and effort into side projects this year,especially with extra time due to lockdown. I have been considering tutoring as I am a final year uni student!

I find this type of industry is really damaging on peoples mental health and well-being. Its all good and well at the beginning but then then the trolling and the constant want for more and never being content kicks in... not to mention the amount of competition that's out there. Noone is really genuine in this industry, only seem it to gain more for themselves. Also the nutters out there that watch videos involing children. Your videos are watched by thousands knowing pretty much everything about your child. its so dangerous. Not to mention the affect it will have on vloggers/influences children growing up with everything being filmed for the world to see..... As a social worker I feel like this generation is becoming really damaging 😞 Parents gaining money to exploit their children.... sad scary world.
