    Great video hun ❤️❤️ we did NCT and when we booked it in January 2020 (to start in the April), covid wasn’t a thing so we fully planned to go to face to face NCT sessions every week. But our sessions obviously had to be changed to zoom classes because of lockdown, but luckily we all made a WhatsApp group and have spoken every day since having the babies. We all met up as a group in between the lockdowns and all did baby classes together, and still meet one to one for walks when we can. Once we’re out of lockdown we’ll do group stuff again. The sessions were a bit ‘mehhhh’ and you could learn that stuff anywhere, but the local mum friends I’ve made have been invaluable.
    You’re literally so good with money! Definitely giving me inspo to save more xxx

    I feel you on not wanting to do another pregnancy! The sickness for me for 20 weeks was enough to put me off having another. Everyone is like oh you’ll do it again but I really really struggled and can’t imagine putting myself through it again! xx

    I missed that you were in military accom - I’m an army brat and have such a loathing for woodchip magnolia but I really respect your attitude and being able to enjoy it in the future and make the best of it now! Cool to hear someone else saving(!) big respect. X

    It's interesting hearing this about bottle feeding as I felt the same way regarding breastfeeding (in terms of advice!) I felt so alone trying to figure out how to feed this baby that I was still still so nervous to even handle! I think lockdown played a huge part in that though! I honestly have so much respect for bottle feeding mama's! I couldn't even imagine having to get up at night and make a bottle and having to sterilise them etc! Actual super heros!

    Love the q&a’s! Hopefully a question to add - has George started rolling yet? And if so how does this affect his night time sleeping in his own crib? Do you worry about him rolling over etc? X

      @@sarahroberts7374 I bought newborn stuff and she was too big for them as soon as she was born lol only worn them in hospital and they didn’t really fit even then! Up to 1 month stuff was useful though. 0-3 is massive on a newborn

      Every HV I spoke to (mine had covid so I spoke to lots of different women for the first few weeks) all actually assumed I was bottle feeding!! Try not to be nervous! It's not wrong and even if they are judgey you don't have to see then for a long time (or at all if you don't want to! Don't be afraid to request a different HV if yours isn't for you!)

    My employer's package is nil so having to budget for 9 months of getting next to no income from the higher earner in the household is horrible :(

      @@hannahwilley1423 2 months after but we have pre decided we're going to save now - my employer pays only SMP - 6 weeks at 90% and then 33 weeks at the SMP. Maternity.money gives you a really good indication of what you will get per month and we are saving so that we have the income there. We wont be taking a mortgage holiday or anything like that so it's really important to me to ensure we have the funds to live semi-like we do now. I've figured out there will be approx a 5800 drop in my income for those months in total, so £400 a month for a while should help us...

    the moment I mentioned I was thinking of weaning my LO onto formula bottles from the breast (we have exclusively bf for 3 months!) because I'm exhausted and have found the journey so hard and so sore, and for my mental health, and returning to work, I needed my body back (and for my relationship with his daddy) ... she looked at me as though I was suggesting feeding him alcohol! :(

    When did you start sleep training george (letting him fall asleep on his own)? I breastfeed and he falls asleep whilst I feed him so wondering when I should break that habit. He’s 3 weeks. Also could you do a video on 0-3 month routine if you had one? When did you start with routines?

    • @wingingitwithwildlings
      @wingingitwithwildlings 3 роки тому +6

      Just thought I’d let you know the breastfeeding to sleep is not a bad habit. The reason some babies won’t sleep unless they’re rocked/boobed to sleep is because they feel comfortable and safe there. Although some babies do feel comfortable falling to sleep on their own, it is completely normal for babies to want that human contact to feel safe and go to sleep, it is okay and normal!

    • @jocarter2178
      @jocarter2178 3 роки тому +1

      Why do people have babies just to put them into their cot a couple weeks later to fall asleep all alone by themselves and expect them to sleep through the night . Poor babies. My son is 7months and he still feeds to sleep wouldn't change it for the world. 3 weeks old and already thinking of changing a "habit" it's not a habit is natural for them it's expected. I get sleep training once they get older of course but why do people rush it :(

    • @wingingitwithwildlings
      @wingingitwithwildlings 3 роки тому +1

      @@jocarter2178 I completely agree with you. Especially in the fourth trimester, your baby hasn’t even adjusted to life outside the womb yet and there’s so much pressure on mums and babies to encourage babies to sleep on their own and it’s just not natural or in a baby’s instinct, or a mothers!

    • @jocarter2178

      @@wingingitwithwildlings I can't believe George has always cried for only 5 minutes and the fell asleep either. I love your vids I've watched so many but this bit just seemed a bit unbelievable to me im sorry. He's been trained to learn crying in his cot won't bring his mammy now so he falls asleep. babies don't just fall asleep on their own naturally every night. They're conditioned to do so before they're even ready for it these days unfortunately. Cuddle your baby to sleep while they're still little... or watch them all time through a baby monitor screen falling asleep alone... :( I know which one I'd choose.

    • @melwest6639
      @melwest6639 3 роки тому

      I wouldn’t worry about it until baby is at least 8 weeks old. They will still learn after that and most tiny babies really do need that comfort from mum (whether boob or cuddles if bottle fed.) George does seem to be particularly independent which is so sweet but I don’t think this is that common. Just enjoy it for now
