(IIRC he says "I like high schooler girls and stuff!" when he first shows up, 't least in the manga) And I'm not sure if the original manga was that meta, though I could be wrong with this.

It is a very common thing to find grown married men with kids who still creep on young girls. Kimura is just the characterisation of an upsetting reality in our own world.
Before I started watching this show he seemed like an interesting character but now that I started watching it I realized he is just straight up a creep who likes younger girls and I can‘t find myself to be really entertained by him or find him really funny. It‘s just uncomfortable every time. Kinda brings the mood of the anime down a bit when the anime is just pretending that it‘s all fine. I hope there are some more layers to his character other than him having a family I guess because he seemed interesting at first and I really wanted to like him because of that.
