They truly don't make cartoons like this anymore and it's such a shame.
I do and they don’t , it’s all stupid showd
IIts all adhd cartoons now lol
@@HichamWatpeople in their 30s have kids who watch cartoons.
@@HichamWati still watch cartoons and im 30. i dont have kids i just like the okd cartoons we use to watch. iv definitely watched alot of newer modern cartoons and they are horrible. brain rot.
@@Phrankyteethis, you don't have to have a good story when your audience is 2-8 lol they just like the jump cuts and bright colors only good cartoon right now is Bluey lol
My grandpa liked to watch this show with us. He loved the relationship between Arnold and his grandpa. It was similar to the relationships he had with me and my cousins. I have so many fond memories of watching this show with my grandpa.
Steely Phil! I loved the Chinese checkers episdoe
Being raised by My Grandmother, whom I called "Mama" since I was 2 months, I appreciated the 1 cartoon that didn't have the traditional parent setting
❤
One of the most sentimental and wholesome cartoons ever.
Hello. Good morning. My name is Brian López. Do you like the Hey Arnold episode, "Benchwarmer", the one where nepotism keeps basketball player Arnold on the bench? Yes or no? Please let me know in the comments down below.
Hey Arnold is one of the not so many cartoons from my childhood that I still enjoy to watch in my mid 30s.
honestly i watched the whole series over again recently and it was even better as an adult
Agreed
I have too
The show is utterly genius
where to watch ?
@@dalilie922 If you have a subscription to any of the following they should have the series available. (netflix, hulu, amazon prime) you could always look up "hey arnold stream free" and often times 9anime or some other site will have the series available for free (thats how i watched jackie chan adventures recently :D 10/10 haha)
I never wanted a room so bad other than arnolds
Yeah until it rains hard 😂 it was an awesome room and cartoon
Yurp
I always thought Arnold's bedroom was one of the coolest places I've ever seen. A place so awesome I got immersed in the show like it was a videogame.
“You keep the money” Probably the most memorable line in this cartoon for me! I recite it often in hopes someone gets the reference but few do!
Hey Harnold is Peak in story telling and characters development. One single episode give all you need to know about one character. I respect everyone who made my childhood special with this show.
Hey Arnold aired during a red-hot period in professional wrestling, so I love that Harold has a rabbi named Goldberg and that Helga's a big wrestling fan, too. It's actually perfect.
The pigeon man episode was truly one of the darkest ones and they portrayed it well. Him saying that it was his time to go and then "flying" off the building is a great way to get the message across to those who are mature enough to understand the severity of depression and subtle enough not to traumatize the children watching.
Wait, explain more. Like, he klld himself? Metaphorically?
@@maryperry6573 in the show Arnold and the audience "see" him get carried away by pigeons. Given that it's a cartoon I wouldn't put it passed them to have magic in the show. But it's based on a child's perception of the world and how he navigates it. Watching someone simply jump off a building would be severely traumatizing for anyone let alone a child. So when I could understand depression, that's how I've understood the ending. He never truly flew away with his flock of pigeons. What we saw was the metaphor for moving on from the world and what we saw had to be Arnold's brain lying to him about what actually happened.
@@Sheckle_SteinsteinI'm not sure if that was what they were trying to convey
@@JoeyJoe-JoeJrShabadoo that's absolutely what they were portraying. It's a perfect metaphor for the depression the man was going through. I watched both as a child and as an adult.
It is never been confirmed by the creators that this was what they were trying to convey It's a great theory but to this day we do not know that. @@Sheckle_Steinstein
Probably my favorite episode is the one about chocolate boy’s backstory. They managed to make a one dimensional character into a kid with a sad backstory about his addiction
Tht and stoop kid. U cnt sleep on the stoop kid episode 😂
Poor chocolate boy. Doomed to be an addict. He tried the substitute chocolate and broke out in hives and he finally finds radishes, damn them was good times. Do u remember the 3d glasses for the Randy Travis special episode where Mr.Huyen becomes a country singer. The glasses was to read the secret message they played as a bumper.
That’s kind of the thing with this show they’ll take a one dimensional, random side character and give them so much depth and devote an entire episode to them whereas you couldn’t even imagine that happening in season one.
Stoop kid & the basketball episode shooting underhand 😅
@@expansioniskeyrn bunny pajamas, haunted train
Was listening to episodes of Hey Arnold while completing the final experiments of my PhD a few months ago. It'll be something i always remember
I never knew the order of these episode. I swear they just played them at random when I was a kid
I have the dvd and it all made sense afterwards lol
Do you know what i love about this show? Is that no matter who the bully or antagonist of the episode theyll all still always come together again at the end of the day. I mean, littleraly helga torments the crap outta arnold sometimes, but she's still let in on the fun, or adventure.
You know she likes Arnold right?
@mavsfanforever7919 Yeah, but Arnold doesn't know that. I mean, it's hinted at, but still, at the end of the day, she's still kind of a bully
I love that Big Patty gives Helga a little rough up 🤣 the only character I truly hate is Oscar
My favorite episode was always the Christmas one with Mr. Nguyen.
Big Bob’s Beeper Emporium. Yeah, definitely something out of the 90’s.
Golden Age of Cartoons. I think I might just binge watch Hey Arnold now haha
OMG I LOVED THIS SHOW
I loved this show so much as a kid, I also rewatched it as an adult and I think I enjoyed it even more, it's just so good ❤
Great cartoon you can watch with family. Good writing, characters, and message. We were spoiled back then
This was nice but you lied. You said the entire story and you didn't mention the haunted train or the Monkey man episode. Or the episode where Harold worked for mister green or the snow day episode or the episode where Jarold learns how to ride a bike or the episode where Arnold gets in with a bad crowd......I could go on but ya get the point lol
😂
This!!! Thank you!
Monkey man!!!
Wait really?
I looked on your channel and didn’t see any review 😢 why complain if you won’t invest anytime into doing it yourself
Chocolate Boy was definitely a metaphor about a drug addict
Damn now that I look back, you’re right, he was begging on his knees for chocolate, bro was down bad
YOOOOOO I completely forgot about the other people living in the building. What a throwback
Who remembers getting the 3d glasses out of a cereal box to read who the secret special guest was? It was the episode where Mr.Hyunh becomes a country singer.
My favorite episode is Helga's backstory her backstory is so sad
Omg man ive seen all these episodes 😂 for some reason as a kid I feel like I only seen about five episodes on repeat all the time but I guess I've seen basically every episode God this visit down nostalgia Lane is amazing bro thank you
Anyone like how Helga is the true main character
Honestly this is one of the most underrated channels I've seen on YT. Such a great collection of different timeless classics and incredibly well covered. Thanks a ton. Subscribed!
I wish you had included the two movies to really finish it off.
me too
57:21 “The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining sides’ - IN Your FACE, Warts!”
Can u do as told by ginger
Please!! 😊
I just re watched the whole series too!!
Even back then I remember feeling that Arnold was a very different show from other cartoons I enjoy as a kid. I didn't grasp why though. Only years later I had mature enough to see how well this show was sensitive and refined not only its art direction, music score and writing all show a prime quality specially in early seasons, but also the realism presented in the show was quite unique at the time. Except for a few other shows for older audiences like As Told by Ginger or Doug - the majority of the cartoons made for kids at that time and even today revolves around overly absurd ideas and humanoid characters with superpowers, superintelligence or other fantastical trait all of them almost always living in a fantasy world of some sort.
Whilst Arnold takes place in a world just like ours populated by every day characters like people you could see if you lived in any big city no matter where and most of its episodes present a theme that matches exactly the kinds of experiences and anxieties children find when they set foot in adolescence. Indirectly it touches on ideas of great complexity by translating them in a way that anyone as young as eight-year-old can understand. But, sadly It was never hit. Not many kids at my school or street watch the show and even fewer among them watch it regularly. I always felt glad I could enjoy it.
I always wanted a room like his!
Thanks for taking me down nostalgia Lane.
Stoop kid episode was my favorite
It’s so cool to realize that the Dutch dubs did a great job preserving the main storyline! I can't believe how much I remembered from those episodes!
I still can't believe Hey Arnold came out on my 9th birthday! I'll be 37 this year and I watch it with my children now.
The episode parent's day always makes me cry as an adopted individual. It resonates so strongly in it's own way
Thank you so much , this is great . Great video
This show was important to me

There aren't many episodes of Hey Arnold I don't like. The show is a vibe, I particuarlly enjoy rewatching the show around the holidays for some reason. Being a kid and sitting in the living room, watching this show, I like to feel that way again once in a while.
Best Halloween costume I ever wore was Monkey Man. So easy. So practical.
I forgot about most of these episodes but this cartoon was one of my favorite cartoons and how cool Arnold was
I watched this whole thing. I’ve seen pretty much every episode although a few on here were missing like The Haunted Train Episode and Arnold’s Room episode. And a few others.
Instant nostalgia overload.
I'm an 80s kids but it was my mother that got me interested in this show and I'm glad she did.
My favorite Nickelodeon show ever Hey Arnold still watch it from time to time today as an adult
Remember this was on repeat alot. Even though i seen the episode a 100 times before i still watched it.
I absolutely loved this show growing up. Anybody remember how this show came out alongside the N64? I think they had some kind of contest giving away N64s. The 90s was the greatest decade to grow up in! ^_^
Harold's kitty always hit me on an emotional level
One of the best Nickelodeon cartoons ever as well as just one of the best cartoons ever in general. The 90s/early 2000s was absolutely flipping Elite between cartoon Network, adult swim, Nickelodeon, Disney channel original movies, fox kids, toonami... Early stages of UA-cam and we had eBaumsWorld and funny junk
Crazy how retro it’s locking as time goes by
*Snaps fingers to the urban atmosphere*
Each character was special, but arnolds grandparents were the greatest!
I watched that Mr Hyunh as an adult and father. It tore me apart on that ending, even tho I already knew how it ended.
one of my favorite shows from one of my favorite youtubers whata day😁

My mom always referred to this show as “the show with the kids with the weird heads” 😂😂😂
Mr. Nguyen and his daughter episode 🥺
Hold on...Curly was wildin'.
Thanks for taking me
Watching all of the episodes and im new into it rlly enjoyed it so far

Seeing the Veteran's day eps. We need to bring back cartoons like this to appreciate America!
the heatwave episode was my favorite. and also the day it snowed and school was cancelled.
Mr. Simmons was an inspiration.
I swear I feel like I was like 7 when this came out (born in 92) maybe my memory was just really good cuz I remember all the nicktoons from the 90s
Love this show. Still watch it today
you got me into buying all episodes
the tv show is such a vibe. one of the only ones that really took me to another world as a kid. i love that show deeply.
Great video, really enjoyed it!
Question: There are some episodes (Geralt in the Hospital, Friday the 13th) missing, right?
Cartoons have declined so much 😢 I honestly wish I could've appreciated this show and many others like it when it originally aired.
UGH, I love you for this
The writers of this show were excellent.
Dudeeee stopp kid was my absolute favorite episode
I LOVEDDDD THIS SHOW!
I will have to watch this with my kid if he's old enough
That dudes hair is wild
i always felt bad for eugene cause he would always get fucked up xD
He's ok though
I never knew the city had an actual name. I grew up with this show when it first aired.
The ghost train, and herald becomes a butcher... I knew every episode you mentioned
23:36
I remember this being a special 3-D episode, when it was released.
1:15:00 I love that chapter, one of the best ones :D
I love hey Arnold ❤

make a pt 2 with the movies
JarToon do you have a Doug video yet?
wonderful story indeed
@56:51 Did anyone else find that insanely creepy??? 😅
Yeah what the heck was that about?
Very creepy. They're 12!
i literally searched for this 3 days ago, nice one king, next catdog
Truly days of a bygone era
very nice, if you want a shortish one next try giving crash canyon ago, I remember liking it and it only has like 2 seasons with a total of 30 episodes or something
The Urban Legends of Hey Arnold were the best episodes... aside from Carmen and Roneo and Juliet...
looking back as an adult, I can see that this cartoon HEAVLY influenced my personality.
Crying. That’s what’s going on. This show was special. And I’m happy that it was a critical part of my childhood. At the time, I didn’t get it, but maybe I did.
"Stoop kids afraid to leave his stoop!!" 😂 Nostalgia
Curly is bat shit crazy 😂😂😂😂😂
Sewer King made me sad as a kid. He needs to come off Phil's watch, it's not his and the rightful claimant cared enough to crawl all the way down there after it, but his whole deal is yet another case of neglect. One timy gesture might not change the world for him, but it still might be the start of a life changing step for someone in a bad place. Give him some tiny trinket, and point him to chess in the park where he makes some friends besides rats.
Still, knowing how kind Arnold was, it wasn't that hard for me to imagine him sneaking back to leave Sewer King a clock on a big gold chain, fit to make Flav-A-Flav jealous, somewhere he could find it!
Ah I loved that scottish refrence. May not be Irish but its somethin at least.
notice how diverse this OLD cartoon is without shoving it down your troat
The first commet ever also I love JarToon❤
This show gave me serious depressive episodes. His grandma slowly dying of Alzheimer's, Helga's mom was an alcoholic, pigeon man killing himself, the Yakov Smirnoff guy being mean to his wife, and i feel like there was a Cambodian genocide episode???
