The most clever joke of the whole series is when, In keeper of the reaper, Mandy asks lil porkchop how long he was billy’s fish and he replies “11 minutes.”. Which is the length of most episodes.
Originally it was supposed to be a swedish accent in reference to the stupidly long movie that only is known for one scene. Also sort of as a reference to Animaniac's grim reaper who also had a swedish accent in reference to that movie. But he kept turning Jamaican in his speech so they changed it as it was more fitting. I don't wanna know what he would've sounded like if the original accent stuck.
Twenty some odd years later and I still quote the phrase, "You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose."

@@JesseNightingale It's been a minute since I saw that episode, but I don't think so. Of course I'd be surprised if there aren't a lot of episodes where that ending would fit😄
I definitely remember a Christmas special or something like that for this show. Mrs. Clause a vampire and adopted Billy. Or something along those lines.
I love this show one of my all time favorites! As I got older and went back to rewatch I noticed that the show skewed off from the original plot which I always thought was Grim trying to find some way to break free from the promise/deal to be best friends with Billy and Mandy after he lost the limbo competition. I know they touched in it in the ep. Keeper of the reaper (one of my faves) as well as the Big Bogey Adventure, movie. Both noting Grim will go to the underworld jail if he tries to break the deal. Which I guess is the reason the episodes went in as they did. I wish there was more of a solid ending. I know there was the underfist movie but… not a fan (like the characters I visual). I see them separate from the trio we have.
Love this show, would like to add aurelio voltaire did the song for the giant brain and some other songs of his showed up for specials. He did the one for big boogey adventure as well, dont remember what others though

18:14 the song was made by Voltaire specifically for the show. And he made the song Land of the Dead for the movie. He has his own channel on here with songs in a similar vibe which are awesome too.
Great video! But you missed a few. Wrath of the Spider Queen which goes more in depth about Grim's past and how he got his job, the Christmas special which was odd but kinda cute, the KND crossover that Cartoon Network made a lot of advertisement for, and last but not least UNDERFIST. Freaking Maxwell Atoms (the creator of B&M) wanted to make it a spinoff series after Billy and Mandy concluded, but did not get the green light. I personally thought it was a good conclusion to the show and leaves it on a n interesting note.
There a few things im surprised you didn't cover. Like the Christmas special. What about Jeffs wife? The spider queen episode was a pretty big deal. Or the full KND cross over episode.
I love your channel. I want to watch cartoon to relive my childhood but I have no time anymore. However watching your content make it possible for me hahaha so fun. Continue making this content.❤
I wonder if anyone realizes that Billy and Mandy are pretty much immortal. After all, what kind of best friend would reap their souls? Grim is obligated to protect them from himself. At least he'll never be bored. And it seems with the vast difference between Billy being so stupid/annoying most monsters can't effect him, and with Mandy being more evil/unaffected by them. Grim doesn't have to worry about any potential enemies either. Because as it was said already, what worse thing could be done to him than to be stuck with those two forever?
Wow. I've never seen the introduction episode of Eris nor knew it existed! It always bugged me that Mandy just knew who she was in what I thought was her introduction episode when she tries to use Billy to employ her Chaos. It also felt weird to me that Mandy and Grim woudl just awol for most of the episode ot let things play out. The fact she messed with those two in the prior episode more in a similar protégé situation now makes the episode I saw make MUCH more sense.
No mention of Irwin's mom being a Mummy, and his Grandfather (on Father's side) being Dracula ? Or that other Halloween movie, where Irwin "unleashes" his "half vampire / mummy" powers. Man I remember when Grim Adventures aired, but it didn’t start as its own show. At first it was a pair with an another cartoon called Evil Con Carne, the cartoon about an evil genius brain with the body of a bear lol. The show was called Grim and Evil. Those shows were great. Just total absurdity all the way around. Actually, Grim Adventures was my first sorta introduction to Evil Dead. There’s a character in Grim Adventures that’s a mix between Ash from Evil Dead and Snake Pliskin from Escape from New that kinda looks like Kurt Russel in Escape from NY eyepatch and all; except that I instead of a chainsaw hand I think it’s a chainsaw crossbow. 😂 Man I miss these shows.
4:00 Can’t really blame Gladys for being scared to insanity by finding the LITERAL GRIM REAPER in her son’s bed😂😂. I loved this show as a kid. I shudder at the thought of them ever doing a modern remake. That would just ruin the show’s magic
Fun fact: For the episode, Little Rock of Horrors, the writer of the show reached out to Aurelio Voltaire to write the song. Voltaire asked for details and the pay. The writer said they will pay x amount for each Length with the maximum being 5 minutes. Voltaire said "Then it will be 5 minutes." Song name Brains by Aurelio Voltaire He also wrote "land of the dead" for the movie "big boogey adventure"
The meteor from little rock of horror is played by a musician that goes by Aurelio Voltaire (Also did the song "Horrors hand"), his music is very much in line with "Brains!" about a year ago he dropped a new album called the black labyrinth inspired by David Bowie playing the goblin king from the 1986 labyrinth. Met him at one of his live shows a few years back, super chill dude, incredibly funny, and if you ever meet him at one of his show's and ask him to play "Brains!" he will most likely after he plays baby shark.
56:49 I just realized... Pause the train scene that hit Boogey... Hector Con Carne is driving it! WOW never realized that, just like the time I realized... In that episode where Grim brought that clown head to life to try to help billy get over his fear of clowns. The chant he did to "get his mojo flowing" was a reference to a song by Micheal Jackson "mama se mama sa mama coo sa" being the chant, while "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin" is the song.

Dracula don't suck he scrape and lick balalalala scrape and lick balalalala scrape and lick balalalalala
Dracula don't suck! Dracula scrapes and Licks!
29:55 The fact that he said "terrible tricks on the people of townsville"(powerpuff girls) instead of endsville is giving me nightmares at night😂
I think Grim would be sad about Billy dying cause they were kinda friends but I know he would be happy with Mandy dying cause she was always mean and treated him like garbage
Grim's laugh is so iconic
No Billy and Mandy Christmas? No Velma Green?
Never knew this show was this good. afterall, i was a kid back then. Nice stuff 👍
wait a minute.. what happened to that one episode about the cursed tricycle?
Thank you for your hard work and let's all hope they continue the series one day, this is great
Why does the thumbnail show Grim saddened at Billy and Mandy’s graves? You’d think he’d be totally overjoyed to be rid of them forever
This might be the most savage comment I’ve ever read for these recap videos
@@JarToonyt
😎
Grim would definitely tap dance on they graves with cleats on.
@@NullVoid115 …if not doc martens
Heyy!! New here and love the videos! I just subscribed!!!! Sym-bionic titan or samurai jack next????👀👀
Me and my homies love Jeff
This show is so good you would be doing yourself a disservice by not actually watching it
No mention of dracula episodes or erwin being his grandson, not a full recap
I never really realized just how much continuity this show had with characters and plots from previous episodes
Why didnt you review the episode where billy wears Nergal Jr as pants and can’t stop running, or erwins killer tri cycle, or when Mandy finally smiles
There’s actually a second movie. Also, can’t believe we skipping over the best Irwin arc of being half mummy, quarter human and quarter vampire .
OMG!!! Grim original voice is the same voice from crash Aku Aku. This is great but i still prefer the brazilian dub version
"Don't look at me." ~Alligator before coughing up Billy
that cool but how about gravity falls? :)
*YES!*
YES
*YES!*
YEAH!!!
YES!
24:19 Why tf did they give the spider an actual asshole
But man the nostalgia is heavy with this series, great video
All the golden the golden years before the woke tv show started 😢
Eww disqualified. The fact you said "woke" indicates either you are a crusty conservative or someone in your circle is. Go where people like you are actually wanted, lol truth social 😂😂😂😂
I like how "Son of Nergal" is just one big "The Thing" reference. An encampment in the snow, a creature that takes the form of others
19:55 Billy got insulted by Weird Al Yankovic
I love that weird al did voice acting in this show sm
I really miss this show. it was great, always put a smile on my face when I watched it
Man I remember when Grim Adventures aired, but it didn’t start as its own show.
I’ve just stumbled upon this channel and sir I just have to say your voice is like butter 🧈 and you make quality content
Just finished watchind the Advemture time series, andive gotta say, one of the best and underrated recap channels. Love to see you grow man.
Voltaire said "Then it will be 5 minutes."
Song name Brains by Aurelio Voltaire
He also wrote "land of the dead" for the movie "big boogey adventure"
The meteor from little rock of horror is played by a musician that goes by Aurelio Voltaire (Also did the song "Horrors hand"), his music is very much in line with "Brains!" about a year ago he dropped a new album called the black labyrinth inspired by David Bowie playing the goblin king from the 1986 labyrinth.
Met him at one of his live shows a few years back, super chill dude, incredibly funny, and if you ever meet him at one of his show's and ask him to play "Brains!" he will most likely after he plays baby shark.
0:51 ACTUALLY she's the YANG. Yin is the "inner goodness" with Yang being "inner mischievous".
the fact that I remember most of the shows in this vid makes me so happy
I loved this show when I was a kid. I should rewatch it sometime soon
One of my favorites back in the day was time squad lol always wondered what happened to that show
this show was my favorite of all time as a kid, the dumb gags and jokes and i just loved the way they animated Billy to show he's at less than average intelligence.
i swear i heard city of townsville more than once in this video lol
