A great idea, sir! Adaptation and improvisation are crucial skills as you've here demonstrated, and customizing one's kit is to increase its efficiency and usefulness.
That's the intention mate.. trying to relieve people's boredom glad you like theres still more to come mate. Got lots of different kits and projects circling my head. Lol. Thanks as always for watching and taking the time to comment 🤙👍
Brilliant idea, and definitely a money saver on what it costs for the similar Maxpedition tactical 'T' ring. It looks like I'll be adding a hot glue gun to my 'Things To Get' list as well now. I have bags containing various webbing, shock cord, D rings and cordlock toggles that I've removed from old packs. Thoroughly enjoying catching up with your channel content. Keep you and your family safe. All the very best👍
Actually Scott you’ve got loads of great themes running on the channel; knots, fire lighting, gear repairs/reviews and of course the camping. Keeping us all entertained while locked down, thanks mate.
Thanks mate.. yeah I get bored easily so spend a lot of time researching and ignoring the wife.. I spend a lot of time in my shed. Looking at what I can improve.. or renew repair etc.. I always have to be doing something it's like my therapy.
It’s good stuff Scott and glad to hear it helps. Being an engineer I much prefer to repair and recycle things, don’t get me wrong I like branded kit, but would rather keep it going for longer.
good to see ya not being one of the throwaway society mate.ive got lots of old kit that gets cannablised from time to time.good work scott, hope you and fam have good new year..
With a scalpel blade you would have been able to carefully and patiently cut through all that double and /or triple stitching, and you would end up with continuous longer piece of webbing, which washed with some warm water and hands soap would became as new. I wonder what did you attach to that D-ring... I would not trust that glue too much... Didn't you have some thread and needles somewhere in your home?
great diy video. i do something almost the same. i have found that black hot glue used in dent pulling looks and works better then clear hot glue. you should try it. just search 'black hot glue' at amazon.com. cheers!

Ha ah. Injnow hoe you feel. Ive always got 2-3 on the go. 😂😂
