That's some incredible footage. I worked for Captain Steve Lasley when he was a young man well so was I. What a career he's had This certainly is an incredible opportunity of a lifetime.
Wonderful footage of a very special place, thank you. It's worth reading Trevor Housby's books about the early days of fishing in the Azores. Trevor was a British angling journalist who first went to the Azores in the 60's to document the whaling which was still being done by rowing boats, whilst he was there he could see the exceptional fishing potential around the islands. With some backing from the Portuguese Government he was able to help set up the first commercial game fishing operation and his books and magazine articles brought the catches to the fishing world's attention.
So glad you guys are able to put videos together like this in house without some big brother TV company putting their own spin or fictitious story behind it! Amazing footage and dialogue Anthony and Bad Company crew!
To say I am jealous would be a huge understatement! I look forward to more videos soon and I wish you all a safe journey and bent rods from So Cal! thanks for sharing your journey.
Incredible Job!!! The Story, the imagery and the post production are ALL WORLD CLASS. WOW! It’s clear that Steve, Kevin and OB are all best in Class but this production quality is outstanding. It’s hard to believe that this is only episode 1. So excited to watch this production team evolve! Thanks David and Anthony for making the capture and post of this adventure a priority. It will live and continue to inspire long after this life affirming tour concludes.
Can't thank you guys enough for sharing this journey with us! You guys are living my dream, fishing such incredible locations with such an amazing outfit. Whilst it will always remain merely a dream for me, I am grateful to somewhat live that dream through your videos at least. To each and everyone of you involved in this epic journey, THANKYOU. Hope you smash it down under on the GBR and continue further south to chase the stripe marlin bite which can be world class at times. Tight lines!
Amazing. Thanks for putting this together and sharing. You guys should get underwater dredge cams for some cool footage of fish in the spread. Safe travels and tight lines!
Best fishing in the world is in the Azores. Hundreds of species of marine life and plenty of giants. Back in the day more than a few 600+ kilo bluefin were caught.
I love what BC does with the exception of killing that 907 Blue M. Sure hope there was extenuating circumstances that lead to that decision; these creatures need to be protected always!
I am a lifelong fisherman - inshore , offshore, whatever. Really cool video but damn I hate to see those big ladies killed. I hope like hell that fish fed a bunch of people that needed food...
Cool vid but would be cooler if it was less of y’all talking and more fishing footage. Would be super interested to hear about the spread y’all are running, fish fighting tactics that enable you to get the fish boat side so quickly, and weather/water cues that give y’all indications of where to drop lines in those remote places. Pretty fishing tho hopefully y’all keep on the big girls.
People do have know clue how much prep there is to get ready for a marlin tripod any sorts the mates and captains have there hands full it’s no punk I’m a retired marlin fisherman I still want it but body can’t do it no more knees went bad they eventually do
Wow !!! Amazing clip, thank you for great camera angles. Thanks for sharing.
