@@BruceTrevarthen Was on the floor at this show acoustics were just fine I was right in front of John and heard everyone loud and clear they've really got their sound dialed...as for the visuals...may not have had the same scope but there was still a lot to enjoy and look around at! It has a pleasant “grove” that builds and entices you to move. Each to their own but every song doesn’t need to result in ‘getting down’. It’s a musical journey and a soul enriching experience.
You have to dance to every song to enjoy the show? We couldn't dance to the original versions of Dear Mr Fantasy or Hey Jude either....but we still loved them. Every song Dead & Co play isn't about dancing....never has been. We didn't dance to Brokedown Palace either when I saw the show last month.
I was there that night and, yes, I paid for it. And thoroughly enjoyed it. If you've a Dead fan you get it. If you not, I guess you don't. Its all good.
