This is great, thanks for uploading it. Brings back a lot of happy memories, I was a teenager at the time playing golf all summer in Ireland and I loved watching the US tour on tv late at night. John was a total breath of fresh air to the game at the time, a true natural player.
@jamesi34 Thanks for the uploads man, I was 8 years old when this was played. If you have this on VHS, have you tried capturing rather than using a camera to film a screen? It's fairly easy to input a picture from a vcr to a computer.
Since this win, for the next decade John had always drawn the largest galleries at every tournament he played. People just wanted to see how long he can hit the ball.
great performance, particularly with the putter. He walked most of his putts in when the ball only just left the blade! Total waster though, huge talent and just drank it all away. Sad figure now.
