CPT CODING GUIDELINES FOR SURGERY INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM PART 1
A fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy is performed when material is aspirated (to draw fluid by suction from vessel or cavity) with a fine needle and the cells are examined cytologically.
A core needle biopsy is typically performed with a larger bore needle to obtain a core sample of tissue for histopathologic evaluation.
FNA biopsy procedures are performed with or without imaging guidance
Imaging guidance codes are reported once per lesion sampled in a single session.

"+10006-59 " .
+10006 it is an add on code ,you use along with 59 modifier is it correct ?

Mam another doubt
Fna performed on 3 lession - 1 with mr guidance - and 2 with ultrasound - for 1st lesion with mr code 10011- 2 fna with ultrasound code 10005 with modifier 59 , add on 10006
Mam we have to also add mod 59 to correspondence 10006 add on?

You are saying the correct code is 10005,10006 but not 10005,10006-59
