Unpopular opinion: I think having one "aesthetic" is stupid. It limits what fabrics and colors you can or "should" wear. To me fashion is wearing whatever the heck you want to regardless of what you wore the day before.

like i said in the video it’s definitely not necessary to have an aesthetic and u also don’t have to fit into one category! some people will enjoy it and some won’t..for me personally it just creates structure which i like a lot! :)
You can have more than one aesthetic. Also creating an aesthetic for yourself can boost your confidence and comfort. When who you are on the inside is displayed on the outside It will attract people who share those interests with you and will help you grow. It also gets rid of decision fatigue when everything in ur closet can be worn together and have similar styles, instead of having to pick a style for each day.

Wow, I’m trying to come into my own style too. I’ve been thrift shopping a lot recently because I feel like shopping in certain stores can distort my decision about the clothes that I buy vs the clothes that I actually love making me wanna fit into trends (which isn’t bad because everyone loves a good trend) but wearing clothes that YOU love is the best. plus it’s cheaper ☺️ and sometimes you can have amazing finds. So if you wanna experiment, or just wanna try things out without breaking the bank, I highly recommend thrift shopping. Remember that your aesthetic is who you are and what you love 💕
I feel like a lot of people focus on “finding them selfs” and it stresses them way to much! I think that u will find ur self with time and u don’t have to do it asap.
What I want to say is, that I think that u should focus on things that bring u joy and don’t stress u out

By the time you learn who you are you’re already changing. You should only strive to understand you will never really know and you’re so much bigger than words can describe. Learn to love who you are when you are that person and find peace in understanding that it’s ok and you can reinvent and recreate that person whenever you want. Other times life will force you to change and once you accept that you can better accept others who change as well.
Currently in a mission to become the "better version" of myself and getting out of my shell. I feel like I missed out and still am missing out on many things because ive been closed off. Which is why I'm going out of my way to do certain things i was terrified to do.
I speak to more people, created a UA-cam channel, and i try really hard to open up more to my family.

I really was sooo confused on how to start off with how to find my style or just find who I am as a person , I truly have found who I am in 2020. I just turned 29 and im still evolving and changing however I agree with all of these points. Also, at my core, I'm pretty much the same which I love because that means its authentic. I love when ppl i know seee or send me things and tell me that's "so me" it means my vibe is visible and consistent.

I really loved this especially since I've been thinking about writing a blog post on it for some time so this is inspiring. Also, the tip with unfollowing people who make you feel insecure resonated with me, being a blogger isn't easy but what's easy is looking at what other people have compared to you and becoming envious. It isn't healthy at all, so after realizing that, I unfollowed those people and I felt a sense of freedom.

What I'm doing is finding something I like (glitch aesthetic) and then deciding what I don't like IN that aesthetic (dark colours) and then fix it up so that it fits me (making it pastel/neon).
I find it so hard to display who I am aesthetically on my channel ... thank you for this video ✨definitely gave me a sense of direction. 🧡
