This trem is an interesting idea, but if I am honest, I don’t think it works well for most players that use the trem. I find it to be a little bit too stiff. I haven’t gotten better setup results installing the Hipshot Tremsetter.
One more question. I bought myself with suhr and sh5 pickups, it was very muffled sounding. I had to bypass the active circuit and the tone pot to find back the clarity of a normal strat...a shame...any idea ?
I guess there could be a few possibilities, but without digging into the Guitar it is impossible to diagnose, especially with an entire active circuitboard. It does sound like part of the high end of the signal was lost to ground. But I don’t really know, to be honest.
Thank you for such an usefull vidéo. But I still have a problem with my RH4 tremolo. when I set it up flat on the deck, it doesn't allow me to go sharp/up with the wiggle stick...any idea ?
If I am understanding you correctly, you set up the bridge flat, which is also called decked. This set up will only allow you to go flat, releasing the tension of the strings, and you would not be able to go sharp by pulling and increasing the string tension.
You probably have all three springs hoisted onto the outer block. The middle spring should be attached to the inner part of the trem, this way it is a dual mode trem, otherwise just flat mode. I have an old '92 RH4 and the guy that sold me the guitar used it like this! Took me a while to figure it put as well. It is easy to miss this, just pause this video and compare where your springs attach versus this one shown here. Hope that helps.
Good to hear. They are really well made and I'm glad to hear the most owners of those guitars actually know what they have and what is the historic significance of those guitars, and that they are taking care of them. Thanks for sharing and thanks for dropping by.
Owned one for 25+ years, and still learned a bunch from this vid 😅
Interestingly, I actually learned a lot from this guitar that appears in this actual video.
I Never Watch another Video in those Details and Profession. Absolutely 💯
You have a good taste in guitar videos.
Great tutorial I learned a lot! I heard about the tremolo system before but never knew how it worked until now, really cool!
One detail I forgot to mention is the fact that the Levinson tremolo is noticeably stiffer.
How interesting, I have such a trem but did'nt know how to set it up in the spring section. Thanks and all the best furthermore.

That’s what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing!

Nice guitar, I've got one, playability is better than my fender and Gibson, LP, sound is okay

intresting
For sure, a different guitar than a Fender Stratocaster, although it looks almost the same.
