Fun fact: I actually built this video out of leftover materials from the Carolwood Pacific Railroad in Walt Disney's backyard. Look it up.
Real
Nice
Ofc
The sarcasm is REAL with this one...and I love it!👍
Fun fact: I built my computer to view your video with leftover materials from eBay pirates' sales of Splash Mountain merch. ;)
Can’t believe Offhand Disney was founded 100 years ago
He looks so good for his age
I can’t believe UA-cam was a thing back then!
The sad fact is … there Will ABSOLUTELY be someone (probably a lot more) who will stumble into Disneyland this year, read the banners, and think “Wow! All this is 100 years old!”
If they go into DSNYLND, I should hope they know the history of the Man and the Mouse who started with his brother, Roy 100 years ago, 1923. DSNYLND is 1955.
Disappointed that you didn't mention that the Abraham Lincoln animatronic was built from spare parts from Walt's Carolwood Pacific Railroad in his backyard.
With his bare hands, of course.
No point. Everybody knows that. :)
I didnt know this but then I looked it up.
You've been telling that joke for 100 years. Wow!!! Dillan, you look fantastic for 100+. Loved it even the Canadian's geese wanted to come celebrate.
He was in cryogenic stasis with Walt's head.
When someone's shit is lost because they had just seen geese...glad to see his tickets not in vain.
Wow, I can’t believe it! These 100 years felt like 67!
I can't believe the center spike of Disney Land within Snow White's castle was laid down this day 100 years ago by Shirley Temple of the Forbidden Eye herself (The voice of Snow White.) She's honestly a legend I can't wait for her ride Mickey & Minnie & the Magical Map to reopen this next decade!!!
🏆
this is my favorite comment
I had no idea Walt could build so much from spare parts. He was a genius!!!❤❤❤
Probably because he died....It would be hilarious though how much people would be crying about Walt if he were still around considering he literally said that Disneyland would never be finished and that the attractions should be constantly changed with time. So none of the stuff currently there would be around and Epcot would have been some weird fascist utopia city
100 years of this video being out! Can't believe how fast time flies
Your attention to detail and historical knowledge of the company is beyond compare. Thanks for entertaining and enlightening us for 100 years.
Please do an actual ranking of every disney nightime show (with details and stuff) This would be amazing!
this would be so great!
And explain that comment we will not speak of.
Thank you for 100% commitment to the bit!! Very funny!
1% of commitment for every year.
the focus on information and your presentation style is absolutely more my pace than any other form of vlogging. no shade at other disney vloggers, I just prefer the- "Offhand experience" personally lol
Offhand parks vlogs are the best parks vlogs! I can’t believe 100 years ago Walt Built Disney Land from the ground up with his bare hands. Oh how time flies.
another great Offhand Disney video. I love it when they are long like this. Thanks for your 100 years of dedication to making these videos. cant believe Offhand Disney is 100 years old, it still looks so young.
“Let me get this straight, you think IllumiNations was D tier?”
I do, and I’m tired of pretending it’s not.
man, i miss the park. but tbh i’ve been priced out. that could be a great video idea actually. the history of price changes at the park.
Same here, I used to be an Epcot loiterer but 💸
I'm not technically priced out, but I am in a "I don't feel any sense of value for what I'm paying anymore". So I just watch videos of the place every once in a while. (I was a premium annual passholder from 2000-2019. Yeah, I picked a good time to let go.)
I second that. Prices have doubled since I was a kid.
I’ve never even been, the only park I’ve been to is Silver Dollar City
Keep this joke going for every ride, new or old 😂
Congratulations on 100 years, amazing to think you've been reporting on the parks since opening day. What an achievement!
Wow, I can't believe that the Offhand Disney channel is 100 years old today. Who can forget those first radio broadcasts about the early works of the Disney Studio? Dallin, you're looking remarkably well preserved!
went on the holiday haunted mansion for the first time a few weeks ago and I really don't love it as much as the og- and all I could see in the stretching room was the pixelated screen wreath on the ceiling😫😩
I love that you have finally entered the gaslighting era
happy 100th birthday dallin!
You are REALLY having fun with this 100 years trope! 🤪 I’m imagining a new viewer to your channel getting VERY confused by all your insider jokes!😱
9:58 "it's back!,
deal with it!" 😂 this guy nails comedy
Oh that was so much fun!! I learned SO much in those 40 minutes! Thank youuu for your offhand knowledge! ;) I cannot believe Disneyland is 100! Feels just like yesterday that it turned 50!! (Which is the night time firework show I’m most partial to! 😉 I haven’t seen the WDW firework show so I can’t judge upon that.) I can’t wait to watch the 100 years of wonder firework show and see if it compares to the 50th for me. 😊
I’m relieved to know that Disneyland is entirely comprised of spare parts from Walt’s background railroad.
Magic Band+ is a hundred years old. Amazing.
Offhand Disney: AND YOU GET 100 YEARS! AND YOU GET 100 YEARS! EVERYBODY GETS 100 YEAAAARRRRSSS 😂😂☠️
You had me going for a few minutes😂🤣. Held it just the right amount of time, and slammed it home with Walt's birthday.
Just went yesterday, could not believe my ears when I heard the epcot music!!
I come to your channel of course for the wonderful Disney content, sure. However your sense of humor never fails to bring a smile to my face!
"100 years, thats like 50 times 2"
why was this the joke that broke me? XD
It’s crazy to me that Disney is 100 years old now. 100 years and it’s got a library full of some of the most classic animated storytelling and was the golden standard for theme parks and the inspiration for lots of theme parks. While my relationship with Disney nowadays are rocky, it’s still pretty incredible to see what it’s done in 100 years 👍
Rise of the Resistance has aged alright
Yee its a solid enough ride
I’ve been a mega fan of yours for years, and I think this is my favorite video you’ve put out. Maybe because you created it with a camera and editing software that both were manufactured using machines that contained recycled pieces of Walt Disney’s Carolwood Pacific Railroad that went to auction 100 years ago. But seriously, great video ❤🥰
Ik either this video or the true meaning of Epcot is my favorite he did a great job on this one though
The goose exhibit was magical.
I can't believe this video is 100 years old.
“Backside of water” O2H O2H O2H
Wondrous Journeys blows World of Color One right out of the water! (See what I did there?) It's also Disney Enchantment done right! You could even say that this is Disneyland's answer to Happily Ever After! It’s undeniably the ultimate 💌 to Disney Animation Studios and its 100-year legacy!
I love it when you vlog dallin. This might be my second favorite video of yours behind the true meaning of Epcot. Keep up the hard work and I cant wait for future videos!!!
Fun video! I know the voices of the Blue Fairy and Hercules for Wondrous Journeys - they're so thrilled to be included. And BAYMAX!!!!
Loved this! A company older than the thing we watch it on most! You're awesome!
24:53 "don't go in, its for the cast members"
*proceeds to attempt opening the door*
Wow - I can't believe your channel is 100 years old! Such a fun video - and congratulations! (you look amazing for 100+ years)
I can’t believe there were 100 Disneyland’s this year
Jungle Cruise's 'backside of water' gets me every time, haha! happy to see it here. Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion: let me guess it broke down in front of where the singing busts usually are? (don't know how I feel about the screens, but I get it.) the fireworks shows were always a favorite of mine... OG fantasmic is probably my favorite i've seen!
one whole hundred years of offhand disney. lookin' good for your age man.
That makes me really frustrated knowing you were at the parks! I was there on the 27th for my birthday, and all through out the day I was looking around for you! Because I thought you might possibly be there on the 100 anniversary and I thought it would be really cool to see you since I’ve been watching your videos for years, and love your channel.
Thanks for the naration while you rode the Haunted Mansion. It lets blind people like me enjoy the video, and the ride, right alongside everyone else. Much appreciated!
Just watched this on my TV. Thanks for sharing this piece of cool history.
Did you just put harmonious… HARMONIOUS?! Above Illuminations…
Great with the vlogging! We get to see and experience the park as you do, with all your fervent love for it 👍
Thank you for this amazing history lesson about Disney! I learned so much.
Must say you do pretty good at Vlogging in the parks. The jokes definitely kept the video interesting especially your remark after being swallowed up into the character greet moss pit lol
I loved the Disneyland Forever fireworks (when the diamond thingys were on the castle at least). I have high hopes for this new one.
Congratulations on 100 years of videos!
Enjoy the 100th off ✋️! Thanks for all u do
I love your sense of humor SO MUCH!!!!!
Thanks for this. I haven't been to DLR since 2005. This was a fun look at it. And also many magical seldom covered parts of DL Park
That was awesome. Thank you genius!
Can't wait to go to Disneyland next week and spew these facts very loudly while waiting in line and betting on which people believe it.
I can’t believe Offhand Disney has been riding the Mark Twain River Boat for 100 years
Yessss offhand vlogging!!
Riding the Mark Twain 3 times in a row: I am so jealous!!
Walt would be so happy they want to put tampons in the boys room.
Ok the joke was irritating at first but you committed to it hard. It got funnier and I loved it. I’ll be using it all day. Thank you😊
I can't believe we've been here for 100 years
Ha, at 14:22 Kitra of Ordinary Adventures walks by behind you!!!
Wow, those Canada geese animatronics are very realistic! 😁
Wondrous journeys was amazing it celebrates the entire legacy of walt disney animation studios from snow white and the Seven Dwarfs to wish
Wooo!! 100 let’s go!
I was literally so happy when this became a Jean Lafitte video 😆
But I love your videos kiddo. One of my favorite subscriptions. Keep it up. 🤟
I’m so happy about Wondrous Journeys' inclusion of John Silver’s Makings of Greatness speech! It’s such a beautiful, powerful, and inspiring message that it applies to pretty much EVERYONE! That’s the first time it was ever featured in a Disney Parks show, let alone in ANY Disney Park in the entire world! That along with Treasure Planet are so criminally-underrated that they deserve to be represented more and more in almost EVERYTHING that the company runs on and licenses with!
happy 100th birthday jean lafitte! i can't believe walt disney singlehandedly created him with his own 2 hands using parts from the carolwood pacific railroad in his backyard
Thanks for some good news/info.
100 years of that joke being old ever since Walt built it out of leftover materials from the Carolwood Pacific Railroad.
Dalin pontificates the new fireworks in the Esplanade
*All we can hear is Grim Grinning Ghosts*
Amazed that first line of the fireworks comes from the movie Dinosaur!
was too scared to say hi! but road the train with you this day!!!!
Ever been up in the pilot house of the Mark Twain Riverboat? I suppose it’s one of the better-kept Disneyland secrets. I’m reluctant to even post this comment for fear of it ending up on every “__ Things You Didn’t Know About Disneyland” type of list.
It’s not guaranteed, but if you ask nicely before boarding the ship, there’s a small chance that the captain MIGHT allow your small group to accompany them up in the pilot house (where Steamboat Willie jams out during the finale of Fantasmic!). There’s a guest book up there for you to sign, and you’ll be able to ring the bell and pull the whistle.
the loss of illuminations is a national tragedy.
Plenty of comments proving that satire, levity, and irony are dying concepts.
I can't believe you're 100 years old!
you had me going for a bit. it's late, I'm tired, and can't do math right now.
Your shoes are fire Dallin
1:47
Love to see that Carousel of Progress representation!
Great Video
This video is too good 😂
I can't believe that 100 years ago, with just some scrap parts in his back yard, Walt Disney founded and built the United States of Americam. Wow, so inspiring.
disneyland didn’t open until 1955 this the 100 years of the company it’s self
You know. You'd love The Efteling in the netherlands. You should go some day (perhaps in 2024/5 due to a lot of construction at the moment)
This was fun. Nice change of pace. Also, did you know it was the 100th anniversary of the peoplemover?
Just wondering, was the ‘Mark Twain’ (re)built in a dry dock, within Disneyland borders? Or was it built elsewhere and traveled up Harbor Boulevard (in manageable pieces?) and delivered to Disneyland?
100 years of offhand Disney wanting the people moved back at Disneyland
Offhand, my man... Im not gonna lie, i think we need a bathroom tier list. You havent done that yet right?
Yesssss
incorrect: my husband goes to bengal bbq for a breakfast skewer ever time we go LOL
I can't believe they built galaxy's edge with spare parts from the Carrollwood pacific railroad.
I can't believe it's been 100 years since Walt Disney built the millennium falcon with his bare hand that would later inspire George Lucas to make Star Wars
He also made a sculpture that looked just like Harrison Ford using scraps from the Carolwood Pacific railroad in his backyard. Star wars almost didn't get made because George Lucas thought that it would take 100 years to find someone who looked just like the sculpture.
