@Trena~ It's like the original maker of this table had a roughly sketched drawing of how it should look in the end, but clearly lacked the necessary experience and knowledge to properly execute the build. Even though the markings on the bottom of the table top hint that this was "production piece", the construction methods are a real head scratcher! LOL! But just look at her after your repairs..... As my Dad would say, "She's as pretty as a speckled pup!" The carvings under the glass overlay frame are really quite beautiful.
Thanks Christy. I was happy at least to have beautiful wood and carvings to work with. Yea Laura is my Sanity for sure lol. I believe she will be back to glass and something else. Thanks so much Christy
I have that very same table. It was a gift to my grandmother from my father in about 1935. My parents had it in our and I have had it for about 25 years. I love it, has always been taken care of and is beautiful, I think. Thanks for your loving care of it. Beautiful job.
The reinforcement of the joints was an extra good measure to the longjevity and sturdiness of the table, and of course the finish retouch will go a long ways to the enjoyment of such a piece, excellent work. Javi G.
I love that table and I thought it was an end table but better yet on the coffee table with the glass and beautiful florals on the wood. Excellent again as always. Best of luck on your move. All moves are wearing, many things that need to fall in place and I know with all the love and caring your family has you will have support and helping hands as best they can as you make your transition. It takes time and adjustment but it will all turn out and as long as you have good earth beneath you will grow where you are planted and have been on that beautiful soil before. God keep you safe on the road and St. Christopher keep you road safe. Pace yourself and know we are all wishing you the best of the best! Peace! 🙏
Omgosh i love, love this table!! Trena you are so awesome! Gosh i wish you lived in Michigan, i have 2 pieces i desperately need you to refurbish for me.
That was beautifully done, it is a gorgeous little table. I love your videos and re-watch some of your earlier ones whilst waiting for your next instalment! They give me so much pleasure as it is lovely to see your professionalism and attention to detail as well as your informative commentary.🤗🇦🇺
The table is beautiful. The attention that you give to each small detail is inspiring. The Bible, in Galatians 5 : 22, 23, gives us instructions for exhibiting fruits of the Spirit. Long-suffering (patience) and self-control are a couple listed. The end result of pieces like this one shows.
Can you do the most wonderful and caring work on every piece no matter how large or how small whether antique or modern. It is wonderful to watch and see your work. Thank you.
I like working on cars and motors. One of the worst feelings there is, is when a bolt gets broken off. I can only imagine that’s what it felt like when the ends of that ring broke off. Absolutely beautiful results, what an awesome table. Thanks for the video
That table came out great, really liked the natural finish. Kind of a unique piece in my way of thinking. A lot of pieces to get put back together. Thanks for the video, fun to watch the restoration.
13:38 oh wow it really is a tiny table! But very special; it's beautifully carved and shaped. I bet it took quite a while to get all the nooks and crannies clean despite it being tiny!
It's good to see your videos again, they are magnificent, you know my friend, beautiful, prosperity is often seen as synonymous with wealth. However, it is much more comprehensive, since it is also related to emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual well-being. Lois Bernardes, Brazil
My Uncle had a table just like this one restored, and they did a beautiful job on it. I remember how pleased he was with that table. This brought back a big memory. Thank you Trena. I dread the move for you. I hope it goes as well as it possibly can. I don't want to move no 'mo as they say. I hope I don't have to.
Trena, I am restoring a rocking chair that has twisted spindles. And it has a broken spindle on the front downward spindle from the armrest. Where the seat doweled tenon’s blind hole is located. There is no Email to contact you.
Another great video. I think it is safe to say that almost all of your viewers know more about woodworking than I do. That said, I really liked how you explained why the top cracked and what should have been done. I think it was great information without getting bogged down in details. It is great to gain a little knowledge and then get back to watching you apply your amazing talent to the furniture you work on.
I know nothing about woodworking at all. I watch as I am fascinated with the transformations of the pieces and like you I really like the explanations. 😊
You know-this is one of the best piece's of furniture i have ever seen in 85 yrs. Not only the restoration but the original carved table and it is practical today useful piece. nice restore.
It _IS_ cute!!! Great restoration job. Pthhh... Glue!?!? LOL and on different note: Awwww... so sad that there's only a few more projects before the move, It's such a great shop. I hope that you're getting a bigger and better one, you deserve it!
Trena, apart from helping Dad, that table was my first project I dun all by myself. Not as ornate, and the top was just double book matched, walnut burl. The oval top was done in four quadrants. I also didn't have any repairs. I was about 12 years old. I actually got a slight compliment from Dad. Love your channel, I learn a bunch from every one. My favorite is the one that you re-wrapped that chair in that wicker weave. I was sure you couldn't do it. 💗
I don't know how to respond to your channel in general but my wife & I love what you do! We don't restore but do hobby woodworking and have learned so much about Joinery and wood finishing, just cannot thank you enough, you are our Prime time viewing! Just Can't thank you enough. We would love to adopt you and your shop dog! Bill & Deb
What a pretty little table. Don't think I have ever seen one with a built in tray that acts as the top of the table before. This is a magnificent restoration - thank you very much for posting the video.
Very nice work! As a Carpenter myself I sometimes get asked to repair chairs and yup sometimes you gotta break em all down to pieces to make them while again. Keep up the good work! 👍
You can clamp a small block to the surface of the piece you want to separate, clamp the other half to the table, at tap the block with a hammer. It adds more mechanical shock without pulling it out of alignment which causes the breaks .. I love Your show. Thanx !
LOL Judging by the comments, I'm the only one who didn't like the table. I was absolutely amazed, though, at how beautiful you made it look in the end! Even the carving looked more refined when you were finished - you must have sanded the heck out of those flowers to make them look so pretty! With your redesign and reconstruction, it was so much better and your finish was so beautiful! You made that table into something much more than it ever was. Someone said they were naming you The Artist - I think they're right!
Just lovely!
Lovely, as always.
Beautiful.
Stunning!

That's a handsome wee table, walnut is hard to beat. Thanks for posting.

Treana: the table is sweet! Carol from California
That one is a cutesy. Looking good of course.
Perfect Monday morning. Trena and my orange juice
Excellent job. Personally, I would be driven crazy by that one dark part of the top (but that's just me).
Yea it was made with alot of different pieces that’s for sure
Once again, excellent work! I wish I lived close, have an old chess/backgammon table that needs a little Trena! 😊
Absolutely beautiful
Beautiful little table thanks for sharing God bless and have a safe move
13:38 oh wow it really is a tiny table! But very special; it's beautifully carved and shaped. I bet it took quite a while to get all the nooks and crannies clean despite it being tiny!
Awesome job I have seen many people who do restoration of furniture but your work on this coffee table is at another level.
It's good to see your videos again, they are magnificent, you know my friend, beautiful, prosperity is often seen as synonymous with wealth. However, it is much more comprehensive, since it is also related to emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual well-being. Lois Bernardes, Brazil
Amazing final result! I have a similar channel where I refinish and restore furniture. Absolutly loves it 🙏🏻

A superior re-engineering of the table construction ! Nicely done !
Beautiful! Loved how you went with the natural color.
always in awe of your work😱
Like a new table, you are clever.
Beautiful result, Trena, & more strongly & sensibly rebuilt than new.
To say I'm impressed isn't the half of it.
Thankyou so much!
wonderful!! your WORK.😍😍
I love walnut. It springs to life so beautifully when the finish is applied!
That looks amazing, I hope the move goes smoothly and I am looking forward to more projects. Thank You
Thanks
Another beautiful restoration
Sweet 👍🏻 👍🏻
Great job! 🙌. Even showing minor semi-unrelated touches are helpful, like cleaning the glass, or the metal feet, etc.
I like the musics, but it makes me feel nostalgic!
Cuteness, indeed.
