    You are on the spot Carson. With all the respect your solution with the foots in that position is not the safer solution, but is a solution. Lets force the movement.

    Voi do the south west’s trial and from feb they offered a long term rental of their scooter for £35 a month inc helmet, lock, charger so u can keep one and charge at home, so that’s £420 per year, bearing in mind u have support if you get flats it breaks etc, you wouldn’t use the hop on hop off ones for commuting. I think rental ones on the street are best for dense city centre areas where commuters can use them as a last mile solution or a fun way for tourists to see that city. In the outer suburbs and of course in rural areas they don’t work for commuting and frequent use unless you have 1000’s of them. It’s not practical to be leaving the house and walking quite far for 10 mins odd trying to find one for just short trips to shops or even commuting. You need to be leaving the house with one so your on your way immediately. so that’s where the privately owned is king. The long term rental deal isn’t bad though so it does concern me the government favour this option. Bad news is it would be like everyone owning a Honda Civic using the same model, it would be boring and stifle innovations like this taur scooter. I have an etwow sport + for haunts to the shop as it is compact I can carry it in and it has solid tyres (but with suspension) however I’m waiting for the law to be changed, see what the laws might say about spec and get one for work commuting, ninebot max, inmotion L9 or pure air pro are my front runners due to water resistance however the taur is starting to interest me as it’s also weather proof and the tyres seem top notch. Only thing missing I feel from most scooters which I would like is indicators, with our crap Uk infrastructure for scooters I want to be as safe on roads as possible!

    I have been paying attention to the electtic scooter market for some time and I absolutely love the look of this product. The reason I haven’t purchased an E scooter so far is due to the legal issues. I would gladly pay £1,000 for one of these but to then have it seized by the cops?

      Bro I don't think cops will take this because it's looks bigger it doesn't look scooter at all it looks bike. Also scooters have smaller tires cops think it's a bike. I'm getting this! They cannot take this because it's too big it just looks bike cops don't take bicycle clever design.

    The bit about repairability gets me every time, although the design is ough to be the protagonist... Try to get for it a "Strassenzulassung" for german streets (here, 25km/h is maximaly allowed, but please, let a back-door open, so that people can still de-restrict it !!!).

    Is this company real? They don’t return emails they don’t update their social media they don’t let anyone who back them who have purchased this $1,495 scooter know what’s going on buyer beware!!! I was super disappointed I had to pull my order

      Hey there, yup, totally our bad for not keeping customers better in the loop. Since your refund in April we've tried to increase email updates to all pre-order buyers to keep them better in the loop- same with our twice-monthly launch updates on Kickstarter too. Thanks for your support, hopefully we can deliver for you one day.

    Not sure why this company will succeed where Boosted Rev failed. But wishing them all the best, nonetheless!

    • @klausbrinck2137
      @klausbrinck2137 Рік тому

      They´ll succeed, cause people notice, that they aren´t complacent (like Boosted Rev or others), but are seriously focusing on the problems, and on solving them, like local repairability, a factor, which means true ownership.
      From their website:
      - Taur is made of 5 core modules plus standardized bicycle components.
      - If anything goes wrong with Taur, we've designed it to minimise the cost and difficulty of getting it fixed, instead of throwing it away.
      - It's also possible to do all this locally.
