Yup. That's one thing that I can't live without. I've been using a cinnamon spice for that. I'm glad it's coming natively. Gotta take care of the eyes.
Definitely something I would switch over too especially since my current laptop does not support Windows 11 and Microsoft is ending support and security updates on Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Saves me tons of money over buying a new laptop and this looks very similar to Windows 10 and this version is supported until 2029 and smoothly runs on older computers that are not supported by Windows 11. The beauty is you can try it out on the live version without deleting Windows and changing your hard drive to see if you like it before permanently installing it. The live version runs completely off the CD or the USB drive.
You cover many areas on a topic so please place Timestamps to your videos which makes the navigation around the video more easy but its a suggestion. Good day
It looks nice improvements but I will install mint when the edge version is released with a more recent kernel, with better support for intel ultra processors
I have to ask 2 questions i thought that the archcraft vedio is too old (4 months) so i am sending it here😊😊😅😅 If you make a new lightweight distro vedio would you add archcraft in the list and second Please tell me that it doesn't has the arch problem like Manjaro of wierd ways of updating and running pacman -Syu doesn't breaks the system or it is necessary to run -Syyu that is because of managing package versions differently from arch😅😅😢😢
So happy about that Night light news Tex! TBH, good new all around.

Thanks for the heads up about how good Mint 22.1 is I look forward to the upgrade.
You and me both Derek!
Shaping up to be a great release. Can’t wait for it to drop.

You are right, this kernel only performs good for older hardware which are 5year and older
Fedora awaits you then
just install mainline kernels and install any kernel you want in 2 minutes.
@@jimw7916 with Nvidia Drivers and Secure Boot, its impossible and too complicated
thank you for the video. Nightshift was one of the very few things missing in an otherwise amazing distro. How do I upgrade if I have Wilma installed?
Glad you enjoyed the video. The in-place upgrade will be available from the mint update once the stable hits. I guess another fortnight.
Thank you Linux tex 😊🎉🎉🎉,
:)
Mint looks great!
Do we have a global dark mode yet?
This comes at the wrong time.
I'm optimizing LM 22 for max performance.
What tweaks are you using?
Yeah i'm wondering if installing a bore kernel breaks the power profiles in linux mint.
this type of videos should have timestamps 😢

ZorinOS still looks better
Depends on taste.
I like Cinnamon more than GNOME.
hahahahahaa i cant believe how plain zorin looks
@@matyasmarkkovacs8336 gnome is beautiful...
Zorin is better on light theme, Cinnamon is better on dark. Debate settled 😊
@@danytalksmusic Zorin has NEVER had ANYTHING that was "better" than mint I personally , see no advantageous things whatsoever in zorin.
Its NOT "absolutely packed with new things" FFS Its a point release theres nothing "epic" about it.
