Thanks for clicking on this video! This video is a hypixel solo bedwars commentary about the new Hypixel Bedwars Update. A lot of people think that this update will kill bedwars, so I wanted to try and argue the other side and talk about why it's actually a good thing, although at this point I'm not sure whether I think it's good or bad. i havent actually played since the update but i really wanna try because normal bedwars has always been so boring for me due to it being way too easy. now with the matchmaking, it could be a lot more fun

Definetly true, i was supporting the update since they came out, im a ranked and nofolding player so yeah i think my perspective is similar to Banjee's. The thing is we don't care about winstreaking and fkdr stuff, what we want is the server to be alive and hopefully get more new people to play the server. Hypixel is popular, literally everyone who players minecraft knows hypixel and most of them played it or are playing rn. So I think hypixel's main focus should ofc be keeping the newbies playing the game. And a official ranked mode of bedwars or queueing based on fkdr or elo or smth would be benefitial too imo.
I think Hypixel should add a 1.21 survival mode which would atract millions of survival enjoyers to the game, and also make a bedrock server since the ratio of java and bedrock player is 1:9 or smth, by advertising in the bedrock server, the java server would potentially benefits.
Overall what I recommended is focus on new players' gameplay more(imo those fkdr grinders and ws grinders are like genshin players or even worse... Whats the point of playing a competitive game when the games are not competitive and ur just bullying noobs over and over again just for a little increasing of fkdr/ws)
there's SMP for survival and the bedrock server used to be a thing but closed down

@@I_Like_Kyubey I suspect that would be EXTREMELY expensive to run but idk that's for hypixel to figure out they know their infrastructure better than I do
but it wont grow the playerbase... It means more cheaters, and only for new players. New players wont be able to recognise cheaters so they will just lose. It's terrible for new players.
@@bananess_ idk i do have a noob friend and he can recognize cheaters like bhopper and scaffold. imo noobs acctually think alot of sweat are cheating, like yesterday i landed a flawless on a noob player, and he thought i cheated

Completely agree bedwars will probably be a lot more fun with better players for queues problem is it takes like 10 minutes to actually queue fsr it’s really weird but maybe it’ll get fixed soon

As someone who’s an 1000 star with pretty mid stats, that just casually plays with friends. I honestly didn’t feel anything different about the queues, except like a slight increase in snipers and cheaters.I hardly ever used overlays, but occasionally I would use an overlays to just leave the easy queue to fight some sweats cause honestly sweaty games are fun every now and then.
Then again when I’m not playing with my friends, I typically go to lobby 1 for parties, and 90% of the parties uses overlays and fold so often.

Banjeerl you have to consider the inexperienced players that have to dodge because yk a 200 star against a 2000 star is a big difference also say there was a cheater in a game and you remember he’s ign what if after the game he can now join the same lobby and you won’t know because you cant see names also I would watch gamerboy80 video on this he explains it best
Dawg everything I talked about IS considering the inexperienced players. 200 stars isn't inexperienced, and you shouldn't be afraid of fighting a 2000 star for one game cuz stats dont matter. That's a fair point abt the cheater tho

I think the new update is good but I am slightly worried because the noob player base in bedwars isn’t that high so I feel this update could work really well or backfire. Great vid btw!

Yep it's kind of a risk on Hypixel's part but it's probably better than letting it slowly die, I don't think it's going to save the game though since there isn't enough content being produced to advertise it to new players (since 30k isn't very possible for the average yt in 2024 hypixel)

4:15 agreed, and maybe bc the hacks found a way to sort of bypass the new update (I think). For those of you who don't know, hypixel also updated watchdog earlier this year.
Yeah there's some like half-working bypass for the name obfuscation I think, but hypixel allowed you to turn off your API which is a great step from them

There’s gonna be way more cheaters when it’s easier to snipe. Cheaters can q good players a lot more easily, and so more will play. I have gotten fly hacked on more in the past week than in the prior 3 years of playing.

How do you make you game look so smooth could it be because of your refresh rate or motion blur?
High FPS recording -> blended to 60fps in premiere. So each frame in my video is actually 4 different frames blended together, which gives a motion blur effect :)

I agree that it won't revive bedwars I was just trying to explain what Hypixel might have been thinking with the change. They killed the game when they removed godbridging in 2021. I think that unless they lower yt rank reqs they'll never even have a chance of saving the game again since barely anyone is making content on it

I played this game for about 3+ years now and I have never once cared about stats and I actually get excited to go against other good players. Whenever people talk about stats I used to think "oh it's just a bunch of numbers It doesn't really mean anything but they must be really good if they can get 50 win streaks".
But NOW I learn that the meaning of "win streaking" is actually SO, SO DISTORED And I look at the bedwars community like a disappointed father. If your definition of win streaking is only going against unskilled players your win streak is nothing but a number.
The point of win streaking is to WIN CONSECUTIVELY AGAINST ANY GAME THROWN AT YOU. That's what makes it so impressive, When you see someone with a win streak that's the mark of an undefeated player who's gone through tough, high stake battles and with with sheer will, skill, and a bit of luck they were able to achieve that goal. It's like being a soccer player and being like "oh I'm undefeated this year 0-100 over 9 months" and then their like OMG SO COOL WHO DID YOU PLAY AGAINST? Then they go like "elementary school kids" like BRUH
WHICH IS WHY IM SO GLAD THIS UPDATE IS NERFING FOLDING NOW WIN STREAKS CAN ACTUALLY MEAN SOMETHING!
DUDE EXACTLY. This is what I've been saying for a while, there's no real way to accurately measure skill in bedwars thanks to stuff like that. FKDR doesn't equal good at the game cuz people just win 50 games in 4s against NPC lobbies after folding everyone with 100 stars or more

i personally think of it as a net negative but really not that bad (ignoring about if it would revive bedwars or the rest of the community just for me playing the game). bassicly i never fold but ocasionally i like to get chill games so if i get 4 100+ stars (imm 400 stars) then i dont want to fight that but only about 2% of the time but when i am doing challanges such as stamina i do not want to fight decent players, stamina in particular is not a fun challange and i would prefer to just have it be done so i wish i could still fold when doing challanges, sometimes i just want to know who is good in the game but not really fold to them it works bassicly the same. bassicly update is the same for me 95% of the time and the other 5% im really mad 😡

I fully support the update to bedwars as dodging for winstreaks and extreme stats was getting out of hand. however I really disagree with your opinion of the removal of lilith. You said that sumo is now completely unplayable due to the cheaters and bots and from my own experience 35% of queues aren't legit now. So I ask how is this a solution, yes it's stops dodging to get over the top stats and winstreaks that no one besides them actually care about but the consequence of that is now it's almost impossible to play one of the once most popular duels gamemodes. Which is in no way fair to the players that used to still enjoy it. Dodging for stats is cringe, however dodging because if you don't you are forced to fight cheaters or bots 35% of the time is reasonable. You may argue just to use the report system, however hypixel's moderation is very bad and only blatant cheaters ever get banned, many of the top players on the wins leaderboard are bots and closet cheaters that hypixel do nothing to prevent. It's fair to say you can forget the interest of the more sweaty players if it will benefit newer players and the longevity of the server, but when the fix causes every legit player in a gamemode to quit it's just not reasonable.

I kinda get your point but the thing is that it's an unfair advantage to be able to dodge in duels when normal people without lilith can't. Regardless of whether it's "good" or "bad" to have duels dodging, this just makes everything easier and quicker

unrelated: how does the player head show the bedwars level? what mod/setting? i use level-head mod on blc but it shows the hypixel level, not the bedwars stars, how to do that?

I want your luck desprately for no cheaters. Been bhopped on 27 times in 2 days, and que parties of blatants in doubles in nearly all my ques. Which really sucks since i just wanna play casually and just wanna not play a sweaty game every game.

I agree to most of your points, but I dont get the logic of that one point (11:31), "the game is more sweaty but that's good because there will be less sweats when they ragequit" Bro what? The noobs will ragequit as well, especially cause there are still alot of sweats in the low Qs.
That was about all the sweats saying "this update is going to make me quit bedwars because (I can't winstreak, too many hackers, i can't dodge, etc)"
For those people, it's actually GOOD for Hypixel if they end up quitting the game, because then there's less sweats to go around, which makes it slightly easier on noobs :)
To your point about "noobs will ragequit as well", they already do that because the game is too sweaty. That's one of the main reasons it's dying
I feel like people are just brainwashed, this update made winstreaking better. winstreaks with dodging require 0 skill and have never been impressive now they are actually a cool metric of success

The horrible matchmaking was only the day the update came out. Idk why but i got in lobbys where the lowest fkdr was 3.5 and that was more or less consistent. Also the time to get into one match was much longer
