S1E4: The Realism of Image-based Lighting
Вставка

- Setting your lighting environment to be as visually convincing as possible has always been the prime goal for any filmmaker, but the tools we have had in the past have limited the ease of this task. In the past, we have used shortcuts like Poor Mans Process and manually creating shadows, but now with Image-based Lighting (IBL), creating realistic and active subject lighting is as easy as playing a video asset. IBL allows you to treat an array of Rainbow 2s or Double Rainbows as a low resolution, high output and fidelity monitor, playing back any asset in real time, perfect for pairing with LED Volumes to correctly match any environment.

The best light is real light and then there is getting virtual image based lighting dialed in. Great job with how to get light signatures and realistic lighting out to more creatives.
siiiick episode guys! Is there a workshop I could attend or a series of videos I could watch to learn more about how to start programming IBL? I'm stepping into DMX this year and this video has me excited for all the possibilities!
Thanks! We'll soon be releasing another episode of The Science which is dedicated to pixel mapping for IBL. Watch this space :)
@@QuasarScience Looking forward to it! I want to bring this kind of tech to the Denver market!!
