Dowry system is basically just money, gift cars given by the brides family to the groom. Today it’s under the guise of “mandatory gifts” . Nobody openly talks about it but everyone knows it. Most families compete with each other on how much dowry one has given. It’s one of the reasons why women are often set on fire by their in laws or tortured and beaten to death in rural areas due to not enough dowry given by her parents.
Due to poverty in india after britisher exploited policies, india has lots of poor people, so cow milk products is one of the biggest sources of protein for them, and extra earning they can do from selling its milk if agriculture doesn't goes good because agriculture in india depended on monsoon only which is unpredictive due to climate change.
We believe that animals have the right to live amongst us. Its their World too. Animals like cows, goats, monkeys, dogs etc have lived with us... for thousands of years. We are NOT ashamed of them. They are NOT our food. They are like a community members. And we Indians won't change it for anyone. Cows/ Gau mata are considered mother-like figure in Indian culture. It has manyyyy economical, social and religious reasons. They are as lovable as any dogs for us.
The reason ,cows are on the roads are because of milk production at very local level as India is largest producer and consumer of milk . And so the number of cows ,the problem begins when cows are left on roads by their owners 😅 Also , some cows when grows old their owners just leave them on roads ,as it is not profitable for them (there is a option that they could just sell them to slaughter house) 😐 But (((Here it will be cruse for a cow to give milk whole life and gets slaughter but also ban in many states))) Also , religious reasons like dharmic religions usually don't allow to kill or eat animals & be vegetarian.. The way to avoid this situation is to bring plant based milk or consume less milk for the sake of cows .
