    "male disposability" is often brushed under the rug, but as a man, i still feel it in subtle ways in todays society despite me not being a citizen of Ukraine having to recently face conscription or anything. One subtle way I have felt it is being around people espousing similiar views are FemSapien or the JRE guest lady 18:28. We got a while to go if we truly wanna work on real gender equality.

    There is a scene in the tv show “Euphoria” that illustrates this really well, it gets inside the mind of the female. The insecure fat girl character is dating the genuine “nice guy” archetype who is handsome and has good qualities, but she has zero sexual attraction to him or lust. So she does a full inventory of all his positive traits, and can’t really find a real negative trait about him. It ends with her fantasizing about him being murdered by some Game of thrones mongol character, then she’s “raped” by this character while the boyfriend bleeds out.

      I remember that scene. You know. I appreciate Euphoria for showing us this reality, but I dislike it for not DECONSTRUCTING it.
      Which is annoying. Liberals will deconstruct anything and everything, but what women want. I gotta tell ya. It's honest, Euphoria I mean, but disgusting in the scene that it doesn't exist to really show teenagers or adults a better path from these crappy situations.

      Euphoria is a superb show, the HBO writers are simply the best in television. I can't really think of any other media medium willing to showcase the brutality and ugliness of unchained modern intersexual dynamics young minds have to grow up around. Drug use is the other huge one in that show. HBO has been killing it with its shows lately, season 2 of White Lotus was a huge exploration of modern intersexual dynamics as well. Really intriguing stuff.

      I love Euphoria simply for the fact that it is a literal representation of what is happening with the youth these days. All the tradcons who thought that there was this wave of conservatism are going to get a brutal awakening. This society and culture is degenerating faster than we can even believe, and the momentum is unstoppable.

    I don't relish the idea of my husband having to protect me. Do I respect and admire that character of him, yes. I dont imagine me being wet because my husband runs into burning buildings. No. Thinking about my husband dying does the EXACT OPPOSITE for me. RealFemSapien views even her own relationship as a transaction. @@darrengordon-hill I have a question for you. Every video Bass uploads, no matter what point Bass makes, you are here taking the completely opposite view. Is there any video you actually agree with Bass? Because from the outlook, if Bass was to release a video talking about how we breathe oxygen, you would be here, taking the exact opposite viewpoint.
      Being contrarian and a devils advocate for the sake of it is odd. Case in point, this video. You ask what kind of man 'avoids' things. But that was already addressed in the video. It's contextual - Bass doesn't agree a man should avoid fighting if a woman is being threatened by a bear, kidnapped or others. But it's also foolish to jump into un-necessary danger, such as when being robbed if it can be avoided. You've distorted the point of avoiding un-necessary danger when it happens to be contrarian, and warped it to mean that a man shouldn't leave the house with his woman and wrap them both in cotton wool in order to avoid danger. I mean, who said that? Who agrees with that? Who's even arguing that? What point are you trying to make with that?

    This reminds of the " men are weak cowards if they don't fight angry bears" video . Men don't get the " luxury" of humanity , vulnerability or sentimental value, they are supposed to act as combination slaves/bodyguards/ suicide bombers AT THE BARE MINIMUM ( according to people who think like this) and if you don't you're considered defective, worthless and/or immoral.
    Also you missed probably the worst example in Twilight: in Eclipse Jacob gets his body CRUSHED fairly graphically for her even though he knew she's going to marry Edward, and while he's laying there afterwards, spine and ribcage shattered, bruises all over, SHE FRIENDZONES HIM!!

    Went on a date with a woman once who asked me if I'd fight someone if they accidentally bumped into her and hurt her (she told me a story of a previous relationship where this happened at a bar, someone passed by her in a hurry and just bumped into her by accident and her BF at the time ran after him and got into a fight). Definitely got the impression that she liked that he was willing to "fight for her" even though he wasn't really fighting for her, he was just getting into a fight for no reason because the whole thing was an accident. I told her straight up in that situation I wouldn't have fought the guy lol. It's a sign of immaturity if you find a woman that wants that kind of thing

But nope. He was defeated in such devastating manner therefore despite the fact he could kick most people's asses it means nothing because of that one loss, and therefore he must be worthless to her. The sheer lack of care when it comes to the wellbeing of men is extremely repulsive. Some how this is never brought up when people ask men why they quit dating. It’s always “hEes jUS scuRED of ReJEcsHun” which is just so easy to say. We only take about the quality of character of men, in a negative light, when men are either rejected or don’t want to date anymore. No one cares about it before though because it doesn’t really matter. These women only care about what entertains them. Nothing more.

    Lol, I help my sister get back to bus stops when she visits every weekend and I protect her from the delinquents terrorising the main street area by staying alert and either sneaking past them unnoticed or taking discreet little diversions like crossing roads ahead of time before they spot us then crossing back over after passing them so it looks natural. They don't really hide themselves since they love yelling and screeching like banshees and smashing stuff so can very easily just avoid them. If I were to take the direct (stupid) approach then I'd be outnumbered (because such people exclusively operate in packs like rabid hyenas...) and I'd be endangering both myself and my sister... for what, precisely? Avoiding danger is a far more effective method of protecting someone.

    Let's be real dude you know exactly what her connotation was; she's talking about the fact that yes, if a man is willing to endanger himself in order to protect her from said danger, this is a rousing to women. The flaw that you have placed out there using the Twilight clip and asking how wet Bella is is in fact irrelevant. It is irrelevant because you are conflating him standing in the way of danger for her with him actively getting the snot kicked out of him. Now obviously, if the man loses to the violence in her way this is not arousing to her obviously. Who likes a loser compared to a winner? And not to mention that women would like a man that is able to protect her so the idea that you're getting a guy that's going to lose isn't exactly comforting.

    • @seg162
      @seg162 Рік тому +3

      "Who likes a loser compared to a winner?" I mean, if my wife came home beat up, I'm not going to hold that against her or think less of her for the misfortune inflicted against her. *It seriously isn't the time to think about how soft she may have made me by coming home bruised up.*
      He's not arguing that this isn't the case-- he's saying that women who put such a premium on their sexual arousal that they're contemplating it in the circumstance of their lover imperiling themselves for their sake have a dysfunctional sense of priorities.

    I don’t get it. You claim that there is a distinction between something you because you’re supposed to and something you do out of love. Why make that distinction?

    • @joumero7493
      @joumero7493 Рік тому +1

      Because it’s a well explored concept in ethics and is not at all controversial. There is a depth of difference between doing your duty and showing love. The former is doing exactly what is expected while the latter is doing more than what is expected.
      For example, it is not morally praiseworthy to go to work. It is your duty since you’ve signed a contract and agree to work at X time for X pay. However, it is moral to stay after the job has closed and keep working for no pay since it’s more that what is expected; more specifically, it’s selfless.
      When you make something an expectation, especially something as serious as giving up your life, you make it a duty and rob it of its moral character.

    Idk Zerse, I still have the whole video to watch but there’s a bit more nuance to her point here. It’s perfectly understandable why a woman would be attracted to a man that risks his life for her. The actual problem with that scenario isn’t her attraction but the selfishness that society condones. It’s perfectly acceptable, often encouraged, for her to take the kids and flee or hide while her husband fends off the home invaders. It’s nonsensical to say you love your husband yet abandon him the instant there’s trouble.
    Even if you want to start quoting evolution or saying “it’s his job” even boys are trained to defend their sisters and mothers despite being weaklings. Yet we encourage her to selfishly secure herself first. It’s not about what women find attractive but about women being selfish. You don’t even need to understand combat or know about the horrors of war. You just need to have an appreciation for the life of the person you claim to love.
    Edit: it’s fine for her to be attracted to this because it’s a display of love. If love is self sacrifice, what greater gift can a man give than his own life? A man willingly dying trying to protect you must love you immensely, which is attractive.

      I take umbrage with this. If there’s children or other dependents in the home, it’s essential that somebody stay with them as the last line of protection and comfort. Children can’t be relied upon to protect themselves, there *has* to be an guardian there to watch over them. It’s totally different from a married childless couple living together and someone breaks in.

      So...after the fight, you're having sex with the woman right? Right? XD Is that what you're telling me my guy? lol
      I'll say this...again...Men protecting women is descriptive not prescriptive. Men WILL protect women, it's not their job by virtue of being men. We're not suppose to be fighting for women because it makes them wet, we do it because they need us.
      Getting to a point where you're saying you want to imagine a man fighting to sexually turn you on is dehumanizing them. There's a huge difference between the reality of protecting who you love, and the sexual foreplay of fighting thugs in the street. XD
