Hey Jordan, I didn't know who you were, but "ll root for you in the Dakar. All of us every day guys are rooting for Kove. It would be fantastic to see them succeed and grow!
I got Taco motos dynojet tune on my kove 450 and it 100% cures the 4-6k bog. Gets rid of popping decel and pulls harder all over. Well worth it. Bytheway, love this interview and will be rooting you on!! Way to follow your heart :) Thank you for sharing
What a hero, I'll be rooting for Jordan in a few days, amazing how dedicated you have to be to compete in something so risky, thank you for making this video, great introduction to a real Dakar hero.
Super video, good luck. Just an old guy living in Asia, I ride smaller bikes and now have two CFMOTOs (mt 450 and little 135cc papio). Absolutely nothing wrong with the quality, amazing value, usable technology........Good quality (again amazing value) parts from Uncle Wangs.........My Honda Rally 300.......since 2017, two gens, joke suspension, choked up engine, zero features (no USB, no passing light, no rack.......). I was really "forced" to go China. Thx again for nice vid.
Chase that dream Jordan, best wishes for you! Ill be watching closely for you, Mason, Skyler and any North American gutsy and skilled enough to race the Dakar. Send it bro! But safely.
There's a lot more to it than just "everything's made in China". dealer support, parts support, aftermarket, quality control, metallurgy control, proven reliability, the list goes on.... I hope Kove turns out to make and support a good product, remains to be seen.
That’s true, I am curious how it’s gonna look in a few years. In the same breath the same can be said for Ktm, Husky, beta, and Honda is making the CRF250’s in Thailand. And with ktm and their recent business issues and having ties in India for manufacturing the entire market is a mess for bikes.
Glad to see a Canadian participating in one of the toughest races in the world. Be safe, have fun, enjoy your experience there, and best wishes and luck for a great result. I hope you have someone there to record these events for you. If not for UA-cam, for memories when you look back on what you accomplished
MERRY CHRISTMAS.! There is a Kove 450 Rally on Kijiji, but the seller, almost but not quite agreed to $10K for it. 😞 I am starting to watch your video now
@rangeroadmoto unfortunately it's down to Honda and Hero. I understand lesser known or skilled riders choosing Kove because of cost. It will be interesting to see how many Hero enters and what KTM will be able to put together. I'm sure there will be lots of last year KTMs in the field if they can get secondary sponsorship (Monster). Otherwise, Honda will run away with it this year. Koves driving force and visionary won't be there, as he has moved on. I can't imagine they will have much factory support. If it were me, I would have looked for an older Honda or KTM and clicked up with some other privaters to share support. We will soon see.
Kove is one of those little companies that's all heart and punches way above its weight. Can't help but root for them regardless of which horrible govt rules over them. The people building the bikes are obviously enthusiasts just like the rest of us. Wish you all the luck and will be rooting for you!
Isnit worth it to sell everything one has to get intoa competition? I mean i understand the thrill and passion of motorcycling (i spend a lot of my money on motorcycles) but to be homeless and risk your life in later years, seems a bit of a reckless decision. But i wish him all the best.
Yeah, maybe you need to spend some time on the Chi-Com slave labor production line. Bet you would pay more attention to where this stuff is made. The reason I wouldn't buy a KTM... is that I have principles, not that the bike is no good. You Chi-Com fans will figure it out someday. Hopefully, recent changes in the US will get some of that production back here.
@@rangeroadmoto It's really not emotion. Any of the Jap bikes, although I know some of those parts are made in China. When there's an option I'll go for anything over China. It may sound paranoid to some, but do a little research and it will be proven they are NOT our allies.
Hey, I don't disagree with your principles and I actually placed an extra like under your comment! However, the more the Chinese people advance socioeconomically the more rights they'll begin to demand and the less power their government will end up having. Middle class is all about property rights and property rights mean that, first and foremost, you OWN YOURSELF and nobody can tell you what to do. Patience and believe in the power of the markets. It'll liberate them eventually. P.S. So far I have no Chinese motorcycle in the stable, 2 Austrians (real Austrians) and 1 Japanese.
@@C_R_O_M________ You have a good point. That would be great if the Chinese people gained their freedom! But the Chinese government, so far, doesn't care what the people want. That is the Communist way... Trample the people's rights when they, the Government, sense the people are gaining power, threatening Government power. Kinda like the Democrats were doing here in the US using the FBI CIA ATF... against the people that threatened the so called elites. This will be more clear next year as you probably know. I hope you're right! We'll see.

Canadian racing as a career is almost an extinct thing. Nice to see a rider still having a go at it.
I agree!

I would imagine Kove not currently going bankrupt has a lot to do with the decision.
He did the switch over before that happened, but I’m sure it helped solidify his choice!

When you give everything for a dream, I just hope he doesn't get mechanical failure like Mason Klein did
Yeah me too, he’s putting so much into this one.
Last year all of the factory KOVE's didn't even make it halfway through the rally before they died .

If the frame snaps and takes out his crown jewels, lets hope china can make him a replacement
The engine will probably blow up before the frame snaps🤣
