I really appreciate your thoughtful and kind comment! I too had a dr650, it was my first off road bike. Such a great machine. I agree it was a little on the heavy side and I will usually try to ride lighter off road if I can. There’s some videos on the channel about the Dr650. Glad to see you’re still riding, I have a friend in Canada who is 68 and rides a Xr650L. It encourages me to know if I look after myself I can keep riding for a long long time. Have a great day and thank you for watching and leave the kind words
This is the best video I’ve ever seen on the trail 125 and the Grom. I own a 22 Grom and a 24 trail 125. I use them both off-road. Keep the videos coming. My new favorite channel!
Here's a suggestion for all CT125 riders. Take the kickstarter off and throw it into a tailbag or other convenient place on the bike. That will get it out of the way of your feet. Then if you should ever need to use, just slip it back on, finger tighten the retaining bolt, and start your bike with it. That's what I have done, as I just couldn't see any reason to keep it on the bike while fighting to keep my feet off of it while bouncing around off road.
@someryebread Here in the Philippines there is an aftermarket part available called the half shifter. It's basically a toe shifter that replaces the heel-toe shifter. Press down to up shift and pull up with your toes to downshift. I don't have any problem with the stock though, but I understand that it's not for everyone.
Wow such a great work ! The CT125 is of course great, but the Grom's driving performance really stood out. I think Honda must be happy with the good publicity.😆

Old versions of the CT had a high/low gearing selector on the gearbox that came in handy for ultra steep terrain. I could ride up pretty much anything by standing on the passenger foot pegs.

Could not get a Honda Trial in 2023 so got a Honda Monkey instead and really like it. But the trail has a certain appeal, but not having a clutch is not a deal breaker but would be nice to have. The old CT's had a low/high feature it would have been nice if that was carried over. Great scenery
I agree, the high low gear box would have allowed to me get at least as far as the Honda grom got. Was too bad that the auto clutch couldn’t engage on the hills
Oh wow! I always wondered what the limits of my new Trail 125 (yellow) would be and now I don't need to actually have to find out myself! Since I am near 70, what would hurt a Gen Z'er would kill me dead on every turn of those trails. @@rangeroadmoto Like the old CT90-110 stuck in road range.. pretty worthless to navigate steep and rough terrain.
