You can hold square and push down it will auto check the material or whatever is in the inventory

I don't think you can, because I'm from Romania and the servers for Brazil/Portugal are different. What you can do, though, is to try and bring as many regions in the chiral network. That's the easy path, of course. In my playthrough I've built ALL the roads by myself, at the beggining of Chapter 3, with only Lake Knot, Engineer, Elder and the Craftsman linked in the network.
