      Mifthah Mohamed, I had explained in the first video in the series a bit... , Here is the full list
      $$Share Trading - English Version - Detailed Videos
      1 - Share Trading Basics - ua-cam.com/video/97Nm_AqvJzI/v-deo.html
      2 - Share Trading India vs UK & US Compared - ua-cam.com/video/ET5qKOpRv3I/v-deo.html
      3 - Share Trading - What Shares I have Bought & Made Money - ua-cam.com/video/HtzaIaqqq3k/v-deo.html
      4 - UK Share Trading - Which App you can use - ua-cam.com/video/pFkV4QbdsXI/v-deo.html
      But in summary, pick a low value share (not something which is already peaked or peaking), read about it in lse and read their RNS for the past few weeks, look at the investor sentiment, research the stock in twitter, and in the end patience to hold when things don't go in the right direction..

    Hi Anand, I have been watching your videos and thank you for the efforts. Wanted one critical input about the captial gains tax, while selling the shares with profit. I tried googling, but not getting a very clear answers on this point. My doubt is "Is there a capital gains tax on shares income ?".
    As you mentioned in the video that, you already taken back the investments, how does the capital gains tax works. I am doing self-filing throughout and i don't have any tax advisor and i cannot afford one, due to the very minimal level of income from additional sources like this.
    Let say a share I bought in FY 19 for £100 , sold it to £130 in FY19 itself and made a profit of £ 30. Do i need to pay tax for this £30.
    1. If yes, is there any free allowance capital gains tax limit specific to share on this income generated through shares ?
    2. Assuming i had used my personal allowance of £12500 annual limit already, do i have to pay tax as per slabs 20% , 40% rates. Can you provide your views please ?
    thank you very much again

    What is difference between nyse vs nasdaq .. which exchange is correct for beginners

    • @AnandChennai
      @AnandChennai  4 роки тому +2

      NYSE is an auction market where people trade with each other directly based on what they are willing to pay each other, NASDAQ is a dealer market where you buy from a dealer and the dealers fix the price. A very basic comparison is like NYSE being a farmers market for vegetables where prices are discussed directly between farmer and consumer and NASDAQ being a super market with prices fixed by the super market owner. I am not an expert, but I feel comfortable in NYSE.

      Trading 212 is a brokerage free provider. As a downside, they don't have all of the listed stocks but a few hundred selected ones. GGP is the only one from the 4 i had mentioned in 212. I bought the others using H&L which has a high brokerage charges (11.95 £ per trade)

    What is the benefit of buying penny shares in the age of fractional shares?

    • @AnandChennai
      @AnandChennai  4 роки тому +1

      Market capital of the company vs revenue of the company. Fractional shares in a FTSE company still has the risk of a company that could fall however big they are. Their market capital is already more than 200 million £ for example. But revenue is lesser. Small companies that have a good revenue forecast and having a market capital less than 10m £ but revenue forecast much greater than their market capital . Also room for fall is lesser. Even big companies like GE fell from 35$ to 6$ in 3-4 years. Penny shares don’t have that big fall risk if the company has a solid business model unless impacted by a natural disaster or external forces. Again this is just my opinion. I am not claiming to be an expert. Which is why the disclaimer. I am sure people time the FTSE shares and make better money. I just don’t have that much confidence in them.

    • @globetrotter9212
      @globetrotter9212 4 роки тому

      I am not denying what you said. The other view as well is equally important. You say big companies too fail but their chance of rebounding is high. Startups/ SMEs are way more prone to fail. Only a few startups/ SMEs are scaling up successfully. Great work by you for stirring this kind of conversations.

    • @AnandChennai

      I guess you are searching in Trading 212. That's the NYSE listed MOS - Mosaic Company. The UK Listed ticker code MOS - Mobile Streams - it is not available in Trading 212 and hence not showing I think. You can buy it in H&L kind of apps where all shares are available . Here is the details about the company - www.google.com/search?q=mos+share+price&rlz=1C1CHBF_en-GBGB785GB785&oq=MOS+share+price&aqs=chrome.0.0i67i131i433i457j0l3j0i22i30l4.4088j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

    • @AnandChennai

      That’s what I thought which is why I started using Freetrade from this year and Anitha used trading 212, when I see why they are free (they do make money right ) I felt H&L is better with the fees that is transparent. I would have said completely the same thing you are saying 2 months back.

    • @globetrotter9212
      @globetrotter9212 4 роки тому

      Can you please clarify how Freetrade and Trading 212 make money despite being fee-free?

    • @AnandChennai
      @AnandChennai  4 роки тому +1

      My analysis has so far been their spread. Their difference between the buy and sell margin. Like forex money exchange, in most trading apps the sell and buy prices are different for every share. For e.g. if a share is showing a real time price of 1 £, an app like H&L could have a buy price of 1.02 £ (2 pence more) and sell price of 0.98 £ (2 pence lesser) . This spread is there in every brokerage app. In freetrade or Trading 212 , this spread is higher - for e.g. the Buy price will be 1.03 £ and Sell Price will be 0.97 p . If you see my recent demo and comparison between the 3, you will see H&L shows you the spread realtime before you buy or sell and you get a 15 second commitment of that exact price from H&L. However Freetrade and Trading 212 does not show you a committed price. An estimated price is shown and when you commit, the price you sell is mostly different for actively traded stocks and could be 1-2 pence lower for a sale and price you buy could be 1-2 pence higher. How they convert this into a revenue for them is something I am fully yet to understand. Probably a tie up with the shares itself to be listed and traded as they have the selected list of stocks that you can trade.
