Great video. Unfortunately, the Maxi's seat post adapter has a design flaw. The instructions say to mount the seat level (parallel to the ground)...see Figure 6. However, this is impossible on almost all bikes. Even on the Yepp website they have them mounted incorrectly at a noticeable forward angle (which lurches the child forward, which the instructions recommend not doing). Do a google search...every picture I've seen...Public Bikes, REI, etc. has the seat lurching forward. Disappointed to figure this out after spending an hour mounting it.
These seats are great! I have the seatpost version that comes with the bracket... I dont see the seat in a "launched" position like garyrafferty suggests on my wifes beach cruiser...
This is so stupid! How can you use the seat if the mounting bracket is sold separately?? In europe you get them both included in the purchasing price!!
Hi, Im going to be purchasing the electra townie 7d this weekend and I'm interested in the yepp mini or maxi but when I contacted yepp they said only the mini works with the townie bike. Can you please tell me if that is accurate information as Ive seen a lot of photos online with maxis and minis connected to the townie. ALSO... in addition to the maxi/mini seat itself is additional adapters/kits or pieces necessary to purchase???
+NICOLE SWACKHAMER Did you ever find out if the Maxi worked with your Townie? I need to find a toddler seat that will work with it and this seems like it would work.
