      I did mine in phases. Painting and swingarm was the most expensive and the mufflers. Thanks!

    Nice rebuild mate! You've done the exact thing that i want to do to my front-wheel too. Digging the latest colorscheme but im thinking about keeping mine red. Ive got the 88 model, 750 (6-speed). She needs some TLC to be perfect but i've got the time :)

      Bryan Eekelder thnx! I bought the wheel like this. Comes from the 1988 Honda VT1100. Sold the bike in 2014.

    Zo !

    Phenomenal job sir, great work.
    Do you know if its possible to remove the right side engine cover (clutch side) when the bike is placed on the kickstand?
    Without having to replace oils etc -

    • @paazhaaz
      @paazhaaz  8 років тому

      Dont know anymore. I knew i changed the gasket on the stand but dont know if i removed the oil. Ask v4musclebike.com ;)

    • @radthibidaeux8229
      @radthibidaeux8229 7 років тому

      Yes it is. I've done it twice today. With 3 quarts in, NO oil will drip when you have it on the side stand. Use a rubber mallet and don't pry off the cover, and you can even reuse the gasket. Leave all the bolts in the cover when you pull it, except the one holding the generator wire. There are different sized mounting bolts so don't confuse them. You don't have to drop the brake pedal, just move it a little to torque bolts. Take one bolt out of rider peg, loosen the other and let it pivot and hang out of the way.

      Thanks! I got a used one for a good price. I don’t have the bike anymore, but marving was also a good replacement. Its Italian and still for sale. But they are expensive.

    Great vid, thx for sharing. Planning to do up my magna again soonl. Had it since i was 25 and never getting rid of it ... but two young kids kept me from riding it for the last 4 years. Question: What products did you use for cleaning oxidized engine block, back wheel,exhaust pipes and other chrome and aluminum parts? And now that I am at it, do you know any providers of original spare parts and customized parts? Rgs

    • @paazhaaz
      @paazhaaz  10 років тому

      aluminum parts: paint biteoff first for cylinder head cover, stator cover and clutch cover. Afther that sanding paper 400 600 800 1200 and if you want 2000. After that polishing. I used Belgom but dont know if thats available where you live. In England you have Davis Silver spares. In Holland where I live I have 2 shops for used parts. Otherwise Ebay

    How did you clean rust?

    • @paazhaaz
      @paazhaaz  8 років тому

      I used aluminum foil for the mirrors, bolts, steering nut,cooling hose and several other parts. My shock absorbers were too far gone so replaced them. The engine covers were done by sanding and polishing

    • @bokozoto
      @bokozoto 8 років тому

      Tried aluminum foil and cocacola/wd40 but I didnt have shiny results it cleared the rust but it stayed blurry.. maybe I need to use some polish

    • @paazhaaz
