Till last year Kashmir's had special rights other than whole of other Indians and it was in last year those special rights were removed as those special rights are making kashmir under-developed. If you are aware India has now officially announced J&K as an integral part of India. Previously the state of J&K had its own separate constitution. Kashmir's (J&K) assertion into India in 1947 doesn't mean its an integral part status, hence the special n separate constitution the state had. Please see the videos on article 370 which gave J&K a special status and its scrapping. I don't think any country will do what you suggested 9:53 about splitting it(jJ&K) in 1/2, say you have a dispute of a property with another person will u settle for dividing it in half ?

After the division few states like Hyderabad, Kashmir remained without joining into both of the countries, then India, pakistan forced them to join in either of the countries of their wish. Hyderabad is totally surrounded with india, so have no other option than to join India, while kashmir's king doesn't wanted to join either countries but Pakistans' new formed government forced tehm to join pakistan, on that verge of aggression he preferred India over pakistan, so did he join India with some conditions applied. Till last year Kashmir's had special rights other than whole of other Indians and it was in last year those special rights were removed as those special rights are making kashmir under-developed. While still pakistanis fight for uniting kashmir with pakistan. We indians never gonna giveup fighting for the head-like part of our nation.

Khalistanis were a group of sikh community people, who wanted punjab to be separated from India. They wanted a separate country called Khalistan only for Sikhs. so they started protesting against the government. But the Indira Gandhi's government did not obey them. khalistanis used the sacred golden temple as their base. So the government launched operation Blue Star to arrest the pro khalistanis. By that time prime minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her own sikh bodyguards.

If you are aware India has now officially announced J&K as an integral part of India. Previously the state of J&K had its own separate constitution. Kashmir's (J&K) assertion into India in 1947 doesn't mean its an integral part status, hence the special n separate constitution the state had. Please see the videos on article 370 which gave J&K a special status and its scrapping.
