Jaxon never disappoints to be the best current Gen Z cast.
Him and Jair are amazing. 👌
Most knowledgeable about the past
Jaxon even know about He Man's song & Skeletor's voice
The best
And he low-key did a decent Kennedy impression
9:20-9:21 "That's a dog and my ex best friend" Katherine is soooooo savage!! Love her😍😍😍👏🏾👏🏾👑👑
I'm not even an American, but I think I knew about the US more than this gen Z
Same 🤣
as a gen z i feel embarrassed C'MON HOW CAN YOU GET THE BEATLES WRONG
Maybe because they existed fifty years ago ☠️
@@unkind6070, Actually, now it's 60 years, hard to believe (Counting their start in 1962).
Bro's mad because of one question 💀 Leave them alone
Tbh the only band member name I knew was John Lennon🤷🏽♀️
@@unkind6070 Its music history man and they left their mark for good, Paul and Ringo are still alive!!
I love Jaxons parents. They did good. I'm always amazed at his knowledge of good 'older" music :) Beatles, Green Day etc.
I feel like Jaxon is a Millennial in a Gen Z body.
green day is dad rock now?
@@kaDOA-xg6tf Dookie came out (pun intended) nearly 30 years ago. It happens to all of us. 👴
@@SilentBob731 Like my father come to pass, 40 years has gone so fast...
Jaxon by far the most knowledgable in this group.
I know our educational system in the U.S. is shitty, but not knowing JFK's assassination date and Watergate is kinda insane
I feel like most classes don’t get that far in history before the class ends😂
@@austinlarrimore6542 But even if they didn't learn it in school, these events are depicted all the time in movies, series, even in youtube and social media... 🤦🏻♀️ 1963=Jefferson??? This even shows lack of critical thinking... (I'm from another continent. I love these kids, but I'm shocked!)
@@cquelhas I mean I knew all the history ones so😂
Yeah, I graduated in 2016 and didn’t learn anything about the watergate in school. I learned about the watergate from a book about the U.S. Presidents that I read when I was 10.
@@cquelhas I grew up learning about jfk in school
It was so heartbreaking what happened to him!
When Jaxon imitated him, I chuckled!
He was like, "the man himself, John F. kennedy" with JFK's accent
I am a Brazilian and I wonder if these people have history of their own country in schools. It is not possible that they simply do not know about the biggest events in the USA.
I usually feel dumb but after watching this and hearing their answers I feel smart...
When I feel like I'm surrounded by crazy people I just listen to videos based on Reddit posts, and soon I find myself thankful that the people around me are all so sane and normal! 😏
“Apollo I” is a crazy answer and not knowing the president who was assassinated in the 1960s is insane…I’m part of this generation too💀
Watching Catherine's reaction to the JFK assassination clip broke my heart, I was fighting back tears.
I teared up!
My dad still remembers that he was heartbroken that day
He was in third grade
And that the teachers were crying
Im from the UK and knew all of these. Half of these were just common knowledge. Really surprised on how little the younger generation know about their own countries history.
We will accept you now as an American. Inform your country in exchange we will send 3 of these idiots in exchange, welcome aboard✋😀
@@leefischer5814 lmao 😂
THESE KIDS DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT JFK????????????? what are they teaching in schools? 😭 i'm only 26 too
Right
"That's a dog and my ex best friend" killed me 💀💀💀
Haha I know right.
I get not knowing some pop culture, but to not know JFK was assassinated? What are they teaching in school?
I think a lot of us are taking their lack of pop culture & historical knowledge too seriously. I'm Gen X and only missed the serial killer question (thought it was Son of Sam). There are things that Gen Z hasn’t learned yet. When you lived during the times of the events, it's easier to judge. I wouldn’t have gotten the George Carlin or Dustin Hoffman questions right if this had been asked when I was a teenager. Give Gen Z some grace.
The point is at their ages, they likely would've learned it. They certainly should have learned JFK and Watergate in school. Angel reminded me of the classmate who tries to ask everyone for the answers because they know nothing.
Everything except the Berlin wall happened before I was born, yet I knew. Kids these days have no curiosity about history. Whether it be pop culture or geo-political.
There's no such thing as "Boomer history." It's just history - and public schools apparently don't teach it anymore.
They’re just calling it that because it happened during the boomers upbringing it’s not that hard to understand the title
The schools do teach it. That doesn't mean the students will remember it very long. I don't keep large amounts of factual information in my memory as I don't have a reason for it and I'm Gen X.
"Thats a dog and my ex bestfriend" killed me
Fr😭😭😭
I'm a millennial and I knew all the answers, and was pleasantly surprised that I did. This was so much fun to play along to at home! Please do more of these!
Catherine's hints are just awesome lol
Always impressed with Jaxon's knowledge of the 80's and decades well before his time.... his parents definitely did a great job raising him. :)
Dude I’m like 17 and I answered every single question it’s like common knowledge not even boomer history
_"Apollo 10?.... "Keep going", "Apollo 9?"_
Bruh, come on....
9:18 "that's a dog and my ex best friend" i'm here for the shade hahahaha
Props to Jaxon for getting the year the Berlin Wall was torn down. I knew it was the 80's and guessed the same year, but wasn't entirely sure.
I mainly know about the Kennedy Assassination because I'm a massive _Doctor Who_ fan.
Kennedy was assassinated on November 22rd, 1963. The first-ever episode of _Doctor Who_ aired on November 23rd, 1963.
As you might be able to imagine, this didn't do wonders for DW's viewing figures. In fact, the viewership was so low, the producers even resorted to re-airing the pilot the next week right before episode 2, so people getting into the show wouldn't miss out in seeing the first episode.
At any rate, for this reason, most big Whovians know the exact date of Kennedy's murder.
9:20 'thats a female dog and my ex bestfriend'😂
10:51 - that is not a map of The Berlin Wall! That is a map of how the whole of Germany was occupied after WWII; how it was divided into sections that were administered by America, Britain, France, and the Soviet Union. The line highlighted in this map was simply the border between what would become East and West Germany, and was nearly 900 miles long! The Berlin Wall was 27 miles long and was erected in Berlin itself, which was deep in the Soviet-controlled area of Germany shown by the map given here. Despite being in the Soviet zone, because of its importance Berlin was also split into sections given over to the British, Americans, French, and Soviets to administer, which essentially made West Berlin an island in the middle of East Germany.
To call questions like this "Boomer history" is to give our young people the easy way out. Learn your history, both political and cultural. After all, you have Google, Wikipedia and UA-cam now to help you.
Jaxon is the most pop culturally aware kid I've ever seen on this!
I love Jaxon!!! He’s just way too cool for school!!!
How did he not get the Moon landing though…he even said it!!!
I mean what are they teaching in American schools and colleges????
Jaxon did a great impression of JFK!
“That’s a dog and my ex best friends..” I WHEEZED 😭
how can you not know immediately that freddy mercury was the singer of queen? queen was and forever will be an iconic band
How do you not know JFK? That's like super monumental. For any generation.
they knew him just wasnt sure when he got assasinated
@@seungcheolswife no most of them needed prompts to get his name right
JFK may be the most famous president, along with lincoln and Washington
"A b**** is a dog and my ex best friend " 😭😭😭😭😂😂
I mean Kennedy, comon, I am not American, but I know - it`s history. An importan part of hitory at that.
I knew all of these answers except for Ted Bundy - I was thinking it was David Berkowitz (Son of Sam) who was active about the same time..
“No, that’s a dog. And my ex best friend.” 😂
Thats kids jfk impersonation was spot on
I stopped watching this channel for a while after the pandemic started. I have to say, I am so relieved to see the Elders of this channel all well and healthy :)
same!!!
I'm embarrassed just watching this. Glad Jaxon had the most common sense
yeah, I've watched a lot videos with Jaxon, he is very knowledgeable in a lot of fields and has a good music taste, seems like a great guy
Jaxon and Jair's parents raised them right in genre 👏
I'm 16 in high-school in the Philippines, and I got all of these correct, I was unsure whether the information I learned would come in handy someday so thanks FBE, for validating my knowledge.
@TheElevenBravo20 yeah?
@TheElevenBravo20 what are you talking about?
Tbh other's partners helped them and they would've gotten many of them wrong if they didn't. Jaxon on the other hand seemed more educated about these things
Jaxon never fails to amaze me
I've never seen Mary Tyler Moore. I've only heard of her because of Weezer's Buddy Holly.
I would have gotten 100% of these correct with absolutely no hints needed and I am gen z. I get not knowing the actors/comedians, but the absolute basic American history stuff is disturbing.
Agree from a gen xer
Not the “thats what you call a female dog and my exbest friend 😭
I love catherine!
Honestly this was absolutely horrifying
I can understand some of their ignorance, but not knowing JFK?!?! Even my 13-yr old grandsons in Canada and Australia have learned about him already. 🙄🤔
As soon as I heard Sizzler, I shouted "Oh snap!". Took me back to my youth youth in the 90s.
I'm just blown away at these '70's references being "boomer" references, since I'm a genX & it's my lifetime 🤯
Catherine always gives great clues.
"thats a dog and my ex best friend" lmao
Apollo 13 was "Houston, we have a problem!"
I'm 38 and a history buff. Not space though eww😂 I ALWAYS think of the movie first then I say Apollo 11
How I screamed so hard at my screen when they struggled with the JFK answer, as if I could have somehow fed them the answer 🤣🤣🤣🤣
But still 🫤🫤🫤🤨🤨
I learned about JFK a lot in school
His family is known for the kennedy curse
His own death is the most famous of the curse
"bush did it" and Scranton strangler 😂😂😂
As a 23 yr old I’m proud to say I knew pretty much all of these. My parents raised me right lol
Some of that was GEN X trivia.
Jaxon, you make me belive there is hope for the human race. Can't belive you even did JFKs accent! I am a Norwegian and knew most of the answers 😉
Jaxon did a great job at JFK's accent!
Please come to the US for I can't take this generations stupidity since some of these questions are essential not only to being a US citizen but a World citizen😒
1:35 - She was actually right, Ringo's real name is Richard Starkey and the others often referred to him as "Richie".
"that's a dog and my old best friend" gotta love old people
As soon as I saw Jaxon in the thumbnail. it was obvious who'd win! He's an old soul.
His parents did a great job.
He did a great impression of Jack Kennedy!
@@cheneethompson5756
Yes he did.
Not surprised Jaxon did the best that guy is too intelligent for his age… this was fun to watch I knew most of the answers pls continue to make more of these videos!!! I love history videos
Some of the most important things in history and its not taught in schools unbelievable
You should listen to some of James Lindsay's videos/podcasts on modern pedagogy.
I'm gen z and European. And knew most of these. Jeez
Yeah as a gen z American that knew all of these this was pretty hard to watch
@@TheElevenBravo20 there's no such thing as American UA-cam. European people like to know more about other people and their culture and their knowledge. Can't say the same about Americans.
As a 90s kid i'm glad I got each one right, except for my mind blanked for Mary Tyler Moore show.
There lack of history knowledge is deeply concerning
Why? There is so much information being thrown at GenZ, including 400 years of "American" history. They study a lot more stuff then kids from past decades.
This should be "try not to cry". They don't know the history of their own country.
American educational system
To be fair, half of them was history, the other half was pop culture references.
@@aznmochibunny You're right. You can't judge them for not knowing pop references from the past.
But how can you not know about Watergate, Kennedy, Apollo XI, etc.
@@QQyEscuchalos probably because school nowadays don’t teach that part of history. I learned about the “Watergate” from a book about the presidents that I read when I was 10. I graduated in 2016 and didn’t learn any of this in school.
Some of them gave very impressive hints! 👏
I have a friend who's 43, and his favorite band is the Beatles. He knows so much about them.
Ain't no way they struggled with JFK yall cmon lmao 🤣
That one was easy!
My fave part is where Jaxon imitated JFK!
I love this matchup!!! Most of my favorite reactors! The boomers look like they’re gonna slap them. 🤣
It pained me to see how many of them did not know when JFK was assassinated
That one was easy!
They shouldn't be allowed to give them so many clues and basically spoon feed them the answers with "It rhymes with...", "When you clean up little particles..."
Either they know or they don't.
"Girls would scream and swoon". Which was exactly why the Beatles quit doing live performances. The fans would scream so loudly, the Beatles couldn't even hear themselves play. They figured, if WE can't hear us, THEY can't hear us, so what's the point.
Jaxon immitating the "offer he can't refuse" was so adorable HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I wanna be best friends with him -_-
I’m not even American and I got ‘em all. This is just basic general knowledge xD
I’m 18 right now and when I have a family, I’m gonna make sure that they will know The Beatles and Love their music
If I ever get kids, I'm gonna let them like whatever music they want to without forcing my taste onto them 😉
Pop culture questions can be excused but the historical ones that are basic knowledge facts that all US students should know as children that these these teens/young adults didn't is seriously beyond sad; I couldn't stop shaking my head in disgust. I can't even believe some of their answers, and how could they not name one of only two presidents assassinated in US history, let alone the only one assassinated on live TV?? 🤦🏾♂
She did not say Thomas Jefferson for the President assassinated in 1963 🤦♀️
Lol! But, in all seriousness, may jack kennedy rest in peace!
Jaxon knows a lot for his age lol
not surprised that Jaxon got the highest score, he's one clever kid
I know a lot of these questions are popular culture question BUT...... THIS IS WHY we NEED to start teaching REAL UNCENCORED HISTORY in American Schools especially when that get into Middle & High schools!!!!
Oh jeez, that's embarrassing that they can't name the four Beatles😬 And technically the girl that said "there's a Richie in there" wasn't exactly wrong, as Ringo's real name is Richard Starkey🤣
I can understand why someone might not know the names of actors or singers, (even the Beatles), but some of these are huge historical events everyone of any age over 10 should know. Granted I am a major history buff so I am quite familiar with many dates long looong before *I* was born, but even so...
As a gen Xer, I was screaming at the screen. I mean this was basic history! don't they teach kids history in school anymore?
Maybe they're too reliant on their smartphones to give them all the answers. Remember when teachers told us we need to learn math because we wouldn't always have our calculators with us? Well, maybe not I'm a Boomer myself and calculators were still new bulky and expensive at the time - let alone computers. Still, it makes me wonder what kids *do* learn in school these days.
There are parts of history that schools don’t teach nowadays. I learned about the “watergate” when I read a book about the U.S. presidents when I was 10. I didn’t learn any of these in school.
I honestly don't know how Gen Z doesn't know basic history. (I'm an old Millennial and I've obviously lived more life, but I knew all of the answers at their age.)
This video really does say something about the united state education system.
Same with parents letting their kids spend so much time on electronics
The state of the American education system makes me cry in anger...
As a GenX I am so happy to see things like this the joy they get from it and seeing things like ooooooo! Jaxson you are just awesome!
how does a whole generation with internet access their whole lives not know anything???? i grew up in the 70s and learned stuff without internet. and it seems they aren't interested either
they're probably on tiktok all day.
What the hell are they teaching kids now a days. All these historical points in history and this is what we are left with.
Yeah, there certain parts of history that schools don’t teach nowadays. I graduated in 2016 and didn’t learn any of this in school. I knew Nixon did something bad but didn’t learn anything about it in school. I learned about the “Watergate” from a book about the presidents that I read when I was around 10.
The girl that guessed Thomas Jefferson for the president that was assassinated in 1963 was such a facepalm moment. Thomas Jefferson, the author of the Declaration of Independence and the 3rd president of the United States was assassinated in 1963? God our education system is wack.
I'm a Millenial... And not even an American, and I knew all of these.
i mean most of these aren't things only americans would know.
@@silverstar1178 Especially in this age of the Internet, where researching stuff is way easier than it used to be. Otoh maybe that makes people less prone to depend on their own memory? Something an old guy like me hates doing because my smarts and memory are all I got left anymore.
I'm a Gen X'er and I got every single question correct including the year the wall came down. I didn't need a single hint or clue either.
Same, but no one gives a damn about us.
I love the Elders 🥹🫶🏼!!!!!!! Thank youuuuu for including them more ❣️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They are my favorite reactions
I’m dying, I’m calling out the names and my 26 year old is arguing with me and telling me I’m wrong.
I wish more of them knew George Carlin. He was a master at pointing out the logically absurd points of social conservative ideology and only asked his audience to THINK and laugh.
This was a really cool quiz. I love seeing the interactions and reactions between different generations. You guys are all so awesome!
I grew up an Army brat and we were stationed in Germany from August 86 - August 89. Missed the wall coming down by only a few short months.
