    coldcasechrist...
According to the Bible, angels protect us in an unseen spiritual battle. Does this mean that every believer has an individually assigned guardian angel? J. Warner answers this question as he examines what the Bible says about angelic beings in this episode of the NRBtv Cold-Case Christianity Broadcast.

I have an all knowing, all seeing Father in heaven. He has over 100 million angels at His beck and call, as per Revelation 5:11. I doubt that I need a dedicated angel, when God knows what I need loooong before I do. All I know is that when I ask Him for help, help comes in whatever form He considers best. So thankful!

I know God uses angels to help us and protect us. Years ago my infant son had an emergency and when i went to help him the backyard was filled with angels. I sensed but couldnt see them. They stopped time and everything was frozen until i rescued him. Ptl.

100%: base it on Scripture. The beautiful song “Shalom Aleichem” gives a nice peek into Jewish Tradition to augment the Church tradition Det. Wallace shares. One can study more about both human traditions for interest sake. But thanks to Det Wallace for emphasizing Scripture is our guide and ultimately God knows … and believers will eventually learn. Shalom.

I personally do not believe we each have a DEDICATED guardian angel. BUT we can all be provided with a real guardian angel as need arises. Is it going to always be the same one? No. I feel that the angels are like calling a temp agency to ask for a helper for your business and you will rarely get the same individual but they are there to help. Yes, there are angels. But they are not "assigned" for life to each of us.

Be a disciple of Jesus, call on his name, be baptized, obey his commands and you have his words that he will be with you all days until the end of the world.

It seems like a big waste of time for an angel to hang around us when nothing is going wrong. God can see the future and knows when we need help and it doesn't always have to be an Angel. he could use a doctor or even a fireman to help us when in need. But I guess if none of those options are available he can send an Angel to help us. TC

Off-topic, but a thought came to mind, and I was just wondering your thoughts on Matthew 5:33-37 and how it coincides with the Bible and swearing "so help me God" as a witness in a court case.
I wonder if Christians in court are like, "No, sorry, i won't swear according to Matthew 5:33-37 BUT I'll just let my yes be yes and my no be no. 😅😂😊

I'm not convinced that any specific 'guardian' angel is assigned to a person for life. It may be possible that different or multiple angels are assigned temporarily to children & then removed from their care once the child advances in her/his development & forms her/his values & preferred tendencies in life. They may also return to them to guide them as they develop. In other words, it may be that God periodicially directs different angels, as God wills for each person.
But then, you may ask yourself, then why does God allow innocent children to perish? It may be due to generational curses or other reasons that none of us can know. Mankind sinned to gain the knowledge of good & evil & God changed reality to allow that to occur for a period of time--until He brings an end to it & saves those that are sufficiently compatible for eternal life in His kingdom for those who will be saved. You don't allow bad people into your home & God apparently won't allow those who reject Him as God to be allowed into His kingdom--which is intended for those who want God to be their God.
So, in my opinion, I'm not convinced that each person has a dedicated guardian Angel from God or a dedicated demon (fallen angel) from the evil one; but, I do believe they exist & are used to guide/protect/punish people for whatever grace/punishment God may have for each person in His will for each person--which may be different for each person, obviously. There are few Isaac Newtons & too many Charles Manson types in the world, so obviously some balance of good & evil in the world is allowed by the Holy Spirit--until the church is taken up to be saved & He (The Holy Spirit) is removed & the wrath of God justly occurs in accordance with God's plans.

All of this overlooks something much harder to refute... Actual experience. Do believers have bad things happen to them? Yes. Do believers get in accidents, sometimes fatal? Yes. Many of us can say this from personal observation. In churches in other countries where soldiers go in and kill the pastor and rape the women, this goes on, where are the guardian angels? One has to infer that either there are not personal guardian Angels or that a lot of them are really slack.

I can agree with the Council of Trent, but only so far as angels guarding our souls, not our physical week being. We still have free will, and we may decide against an angel’s advice.
Clearly, if I had an Angel guarding me physically, I wouldn’t have broken my leg in that crash into the catcher at home plate back in 88. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Or maybe it was necessary to protect you from a worse fate that the evil one had planned for you. In the battle of good & evil that rages, they are advancing their agendas to help people decide whether or not they will love or reject God. Those that will be saved will be those who want God to be their God as God originally intended for mankind. Those that reject God delude themselves that they don't need God or they are their own gods--which is just irrational & delusional.

Angels tend to show up when they're needed. What would dissuade reentry to the Garden of Eden? Angels with a flaming sword. What would open Balaam's eyes? Angel with a flaming sword. What could protect Daniel from hungry, alpha predators? Angel. What would stop general Sennacharib from conquering Jerusalem with an army of 185000? An angel. What woild help Jesus after being tempted of the devil? Angels.

Shops selling angels popped up over the personal angel rage. We are not to worship angels, try and have a personal relationship with them, or even talk to them. The REAL ones will not accept worship. But fallen angels can appear as angels of light. There ARE angels sent to minister to us, but most of the time we will not see them. And we should not ask to see them. They are not fat babies, either. We should not carry decorative angels as good luck charms. (BTW "luck" is a derivative of Lucifer, and we should NEVER give credit to "good luck."

Although I agree with everything you said, as someone with a strong interest in linguistics, I really hate "folk etymologies" that give fake word origins to support an ideology (even one I agree with). The word "luck" has no relation to the name Lucifer in any way. "Luck" originates from Middle High German "gelücke," and though we haven't been able to trace it further back than that (roughly 1050-ish AD), it and its derivatives are only found in Germanic languages (English, Dutch, German, Swedish, Frisian, Icelandic, etc.). Lucifer, on the other hand, is Latin for "light bringer" ("lux/luc" is "light" in Latin, and "fero" is "to bring"), so the "luc" part of the name simply means "light," not "luck." To go further, the word for "luck" in Latin-based languages is completely different than the "gelücke" derived word found in Germanic languages: in Italian, it's "fortuna" (which comes directly from the actual Latin word for "luck"), in French it's "chance" (from Latin "cadentia," a noun derived from the Latin verb "cadere," which means "to fall or to come to pass"), and in Spanish it's "suerte" (from Latin "sortis," meaning "lot, allotment, or fate").

The Night before the Crucifixion An Angel was Sent to Attend Yeshua and Give him Strength ...After the Resurrection Two Angels were at the Tomb to Annouce the Resurrection...When Yeshua Returns The WHOLE OF THE HEAVENLY HOST ARE COMING WITH HIM ❤ Amen ❤

Many Catholic customs are taught that are not good, because it the traditions of men---not necessarily of God per the Bible.. It's better to read & interpret The Bible on your own, as God gives you the grace to understand. Catholics allowed sexual deviants to remain in their system for far too long. That system need major reformation, imo.
