100 days sober and haven't had any cravings yet! This is the longest time I have gone without alcohol in my adult life. Never going back to that evil substance.
4 weeks and 3 days sober. Feeling the fatigue now and something like an oncoming flu, waking up in the middle of the night and feeling hot and uncomfortable. I have zero motivation to do anything. But I'm not giving this up. Hopefully all this will pass soon. Thank you for your videos!
On day 4 and bloody exhausted, cant concentrate and keep going into emotional meltdowns. Keeping a low profile, no triggers, no annoying people, just hang in there, eat healthy and if in doubt get in bed early. Right now its just about the basics. I will leave evolving into a better being for a few weeks just yet.
This comments section is so hopeful and charged with potential. I gave up drinking and it gave my kids so much security. It took about 2 years for them to trust me and trust that I was serious about staying sober.
Like anything in life, especially when breaking a bad habit like drinking alcohol, there is no magic bullet. There is only the hard work that you need to put in to undo the years of instant-gratification. Hard work now equals an easy life. Easy work now equals a hard life.
Well said! Thank you for all you do! Not a day of your life has been wasted.. It has all Led up to your purpose! Helping others realize a better way of life, and not to mention the lives, marriages, and families that you have saved! Including mine!
I like the way Kevin explains things, simple and to the point, or sometimes talking around the point. Anybody can understand where he´s coming from, no excuses for being baffled. Because it is that simple. I stoped 11 months ago. Feeling great never looking back.
I decided to quit after a year of heavy drinking. I weened my way down to two glasses of wine a night before stopping. I am on day 3. The fatigue is crazy. I also have some nausea. But no other symptoms of withdrawal. I have a trip to go on in 30 days. I am hoping the fatigue is gone by then. Pray for me.
13 days in no booze and I've been so heavily fatigued omg...its gotten better In the past day or 2 but boy oh boy, naps have became my best friend but they also screw me out of a decent bedtime...
my advice is keep doing the naps if that is what your body is telling you but limit them to an hour and a half. Also to help you at night if you can afford to then buy some melatonin.
I had the same,,, so tired all the time.... think it's your body adjusting to being sober and healthy again. It does get better and after a while you won't notice this.
@@bh9262 I'm at day 57 and still very tired. As a drunk I was training boxing and muay thai 4x a week and then weights/cardio 2x a week. Now, I can barely get in a gym 2 or 3x a week. I got a few buddies that at day 90 the fatigue disappeared.

This has just answered every question and how I’ve been feeling after over 6 months now . Once again Kevin perfectly explained and this has gave me more strength to go forward . I’m 54 year old male and similar to your story this has helped me 100% Thank you Respect to you . 🙏💪
Most ex alcoholics become sugar addicts which is the same as the booze. Booze turns to sugar thats why after stopping you crave sugar. Sugar when it comes down makes you worn out and tired
I am the opposite. I quit sugar in 2015 and drank zero carb (vodka, scotch, whiskey on the rocks on weekends. Sometimes dry red wine. I quit all alcohol a month ago but I was not drinking much since I cut out sugar. But, alcohol is poison no matter what. One thing I noticed is allergy symptoms are 95% better. I like to think it’s because I quit alcohol.
“It can be a powerful shift, when a person in active recovery, rather than moving forward because they hate what is behind them, starts to move forward because they are beginning to love what is in front of them.” H Jorgen
Nice quote. I think it's a combination of both really. That has been the key for me. Genuinely despising everything to do with alcohol and loving the freedom of being a non drinker. Nothing compares to it.
thank you! You’re honesty and openness and all the comments have encouraged me. 25+ years of drinking. Sometimes light sometimes heavy. I was beginning to be the president of the “functional alcoholic “club! Not what I wanted to be on my tombstone. the longest I’ve gone in the last 15 years is 35 days with no alcohol and that was just two months ago. I broke my stride two weeks ago. So this marks two days since I’ve had no alcohol. Thank you for prayers and support.
Looking around to see how many are experiencing extreme 'tiredness' after quitting. As a heavy consumer for years, I hardly slept, but not by choice -- I've learned a lot watching Kevin's videos, including why I didn't sleep much when I drank - the body can't rest when it's working overtime trying to get rid of the toxin (alcohol - that I fed it). This made sense to me. My sleep improved pretty quick - but now I feel like I just can't get enough! I want to sleep for days! This concerns me a little bit - I hope it's normal for some people, figure it's all about how exhausted my body really is.... Been doing Mastermind Coaching for 24 days now - what a blessing that is! So it's 24 days for me without vodka (my poison of choice - mostly drank it straight unless I wanted to make it a meal). Switched to beer/ale at 1st day of prep phase, per Kevin's advice. I am on Day 10 completely alcohol free and amazed at what is happening in me and my head - still dingy but much calmer and clearer! I begged God for years to rip the booze away from me because I couldn't do it myself and nothing else had worked yet...had lots of guilt and shame.... But when the time was right, my prayers were answered - I stumbled upon Alcohol Mastery and ultimately, Mastermind Coaching - the absolute SECOND BEST decision I ever made for my life was to join! I may feel tired all the time right now, and I could probably sleep for a couple days straight, but I am NOT struggling with the urge to drink, a miracle in itself but even greater than that, my biggest and most troublesome trigger lives in my house and presents itself every day - and hasn't even phased me, even though attempts have been made. I will fight to keep what I have gained so far! No matter what, I know I never want to drink again, and I know it's different this time. Thank you, Kevin O'Hara! God bless you forever!
38 years drunk, 33 days sober..doing pretty good really but I get terrible fatigue in the evenings. I'm sleeping pretty good though..... I pray to God I've cracked it this time.
@edmundblackaddercoc8522 Hey, no headaches just this darn fatigue, it seems to be hitting be earlier in the day now. I have to really force myself to stay up 'till 9.30 pm.......but I was going to bed at 7.30. My concern is.......I've been a drunk for so many years, now that I've stopped even for this short while, I'm able to see how being an alcoholic has influenced my decision making.....and not for the better. So my concern is........who the frig am I?
@@marktowers1836 Cheers for the response. The thing is after 35 years of moderate to heavy drinking we are in a similar boat. We didn't learn the life skills needed,we have hid in a bottle, now we have to play catch up. I just take each day and emotional/physical pain day by day, and it is tough. I try and focus on the positives, like no hangovers,no bloating, feeling real emotions good and bad, mending relationships slowly, thefeeling that we aren't controlled by a literal poison, feeling we are on the road to self healing, not spending 20 on a bottle of spirits everyday/other day all the good stuff. I've taken extended time off work to heal, my fatigue k8cks in about the same time I used to have my first drink of the day, coincidence? I think not lol. The depersonalisation that we feel is because, we have been living in a false life, false emotions, false thought patterns, false relationships for all these years, now we have to live a 'real' life without a mask, it's totally normal for us to feel this as we haven't been 'us' most of our lives. If I need a boost in my motivation, I just think of the harm I've done to myself and all the people around me, it stops right here right now, drawn a line in the sand. I've started going out in the dark for a stroll in evenings(fewer people around) with a self help track on. I try and do 10 mins of yoga through the day ( I used to do 1.5 hours when I had a break off it in the past) just to slow my thoughts down, and level myself. I've changed my diet, as my body detoxifies I've cut out sugar and carbohydrates all junk food. I just eat meat veggies, dairy eggs milk, yoghurt, fish and water, boring but, I don't have to think about complicated meals. I try to drink 5 or 6 glasses a day just to flush me through. I also take a range of vitamins to speed up healing. I take vitamin B complex, vitamin D, fish oil, and an Antihistamine, I have psoriasis/eczema. We are on a long road to undo what we have done to ourselves mate, gonna take time. We need to be kind to ourselves and accept what we have done whilst looking forward, not backwards, the past is over, it's our time to be real and true to who we really are now. I hope this helps and I honestly wish you well Brother. Let's stay strong and focused and WE WILL BEAT THIS POISON! peace.
Good healthy food and regular exercise is really helping with my sobriety. I drink chamomile tea, water and kombucha etc instead of alcohol now. 8th day sober and not turning back. All possible life issues that we face can have the root cause being alcohol. Reversing the damage and lifestyle is difficult but very worthwhile and rewarding. Saves a lot of money and time, improves your mental and physical health. Best wishes to everyone going through the same or thinking about doing so. God bless.
I've been thinking of quitting for over a year. First I tried different tactics to moderate it so I could keep on drinking, like having lower % drinks and trying to regulate my drinking. The next morning I had still ended up in the same spot. Today is the 16th day that I haven't had any alcohol, I'm starting to feel good about myself and feel like I have good mindset this time. The only thing I'm now kind of worried about if I forget the importance of this and slip again. Thanks for the good content, these keep my mind in the right place.
@@snu3877 I'm currently 428 days sober. My drinking definitely got worse after that comment 5 years ago. I was drinking everyday for the last two years before I just had to quit. There was absolutely no question anymore about it. Happy to be on this path! :)
@@actual_john_doe I am so happy for you. I lost track, but I might be right around where you are. It's not like life is all a bed of roses now, but wow.... so much better waking up with a clear head, no guilt, shame, regret... I was able to lose weight, get off of my two high blood pressure meds, get my house in order (clean/decluttered.) Alcohol gives so little, and takes SO much away. Not worth it!!
@@snu3877 Absolutely. It gives so little and takes so much away. Based on the effects of alcohol to my life, alcohol is like a man who is very small, a wicked asshole who only pretends to be big and a friend, and in that he is just a masterful liar. It does it by creeping into what's absolute value to a person, the person's own dopamine. Then by gaining access to that it blows itself up to great proportions, it's gleaming with sense of importance. All of that fades away in time by not allowing it access to dopamine. Then alcohol shrinks and becomes a stranger again, the small strange asshole it once used to be. It was a deep experience to come out of the daily drinking habit, the best decision of my life.
This is all very good said... Just one thought... Sleeping is my new drug now...dreaming.. it took some time ...but 4 years later it feels different, Cheers
It’s time for me to quit. My soul is in hell and I can’t do this anymore. I’m withdrawing right now and I think I should drink a beer to combat it. But then I’ll be stuck in the same place again. I’m so embarrassed by how I act when drunk. I say stupid things, I puke. I’m scared I won’t be able to face myself when I become sober.
Your liver is crying out. Stop. 2 months here and I’ll not go back to daily “happy” hours. Bf drinks every day and I’m disgusted how quickly his speech slurs and eyes get squinty and I can’t have a conversation with him. Ickkkk hell no.
I decided to quit because I was fed up of feeling constantly tired from poor sleep due to alcohol. Not only that but it was causing me anxiety, shakes and all the rest of it... It's not easy because for the first few days it is really difficult to sleep at all, and you actually feel worse. Now I'm sleeping like a log but I still feel tired, but at least I can focus and do my job. In the next week or two hopefully I'll get the energy levels I need to hit the gym for the first time in two years.
There seems to be levels for me. Before when I'd short term quit I'd feel great after around day 5 but this time I think my body knows it's a permanent change and is taking its time detoxifying. I'm on around 2 weeks now and I still feel the detox effects. I'll take it though because I just think of it as my punishment for poisoning my body for so many years.
detox is easier than drinking!been sober for about 50days myself .I clicked on this video because I was so tired too for a good while. I've been focusing on how much better I feel and walking and good food too.best wishes to you 😁
The longer the better buddy. Even a month sober can give significant long lasting benefits. It's not an easy habit to break but it is still achievable. Best of luck anyhow..👍
I think you are amazing and give inspiration for many people. I know you have helped me and I thank you for it. 6 months now sober - I don't think you were ever an alcoholic though and I know I wasn't either. An alcoholic is someone who wakes up and needs a drink to function. I don't think your method can help true alcoholics but you have changed my life for the better. So I thank you for that.
Congratulations on staying sober! But I disagree that in order to be an alcoholic one has to drink first thing in order to function. IMO there are different degrees of alcoholism.
I believe that there are a lot of different types of alcoholism - but more importantly, I don't think any of us are positioned to comment on someone else's health unless they are that person's doctor. If someone tells you 'I'm an alcoholic', it's not really up for debate. That person knows themselves, and to have someone else tell them 'no you don't' isn't helpful, especially for someone who is aiming to improve their relationship with alcohol.
Every video has helped me 100% especially this tiredness one . Kevin you talk from the heart and are The Peoples Champion . Been drinking since the age of 13 to the age of 52 and have had nearly 6 weeks until this weekend due to a weekend break . 6 pints of Guinness and 5 bottles of Ale over two nites . Was a little reminder of days gone by . So start of new begging and again . Didn’t realise unrefined sugars made me tired so great help . Thankyou
My addiction counselor feels that our brains are now operating properly (57 days sober), and that too, along with healing our bodies can make us feel very tired.
I'm about a month in and I'm not having trouble going to bed when I get off of work because I'm usually very tired but I'm noticing now that I'm not drinking I'm waking up far earlier. I used to sleep for 9 or 10 hours and now that I'm sober my body is waking itself up after about 4 hours of sleep. I just want to get it a little closer to 7 hours
Haven't had a drink since July 2nd Got two solid weeks under my belt. Going for another two weeks. Then months and years. I feel like a long walk this morning !! Love it.
I am so ready to quit for good. I am going to check in every day to see how people are doing. I know I can do this and seeing others with the same problem gives me a better chance.
I don't know why, but I always feel great after quitting. Maybe because I finally feel back in control and feel positive about this change in my life, getting back to working out, getting my life in order...
You know.... waking up at four am is actually quite beautiful when you're not full of booze. It bothered me a lot, then I got used to making a cup of tea and appreciating the beautiful silence of the world......
Drinking for me has been like a reward , a filler for a emptiness and sometimes a way to cope with stress and loneliness. I grew up in a time and a family where everyone drank when we got together. As time rolled my drinking became a habit. I included in everything. A reward for a hard day work. One glass of wine led to two , then three then the bottle....then two , then three. My tolerance is high, I rarely get drunk at best tipsy. But I know this is something I have to stop. I have a indulging personality. If I have anything around like chips, pop, booze, candy, bread I won't leave it alone untill it is gone. I never keep booze or these things in the house for that reason. And once I start I don't stop. It is scary so I decided to just put it down. I did the same thing with cigarettes twenty years ago!
14 days i have no alcohol.I feel tired.mylegs are heavy.i cry often to release anxiety...I feel more aware, my skin is better.i wake up 4:30 anxious but ok
I'm on day 18 and havn't had any cravings so far, I only get cravings if I hang around my friends who drink, I'm going to have to find friends who don't need the drink to have fun, this doesn't mean I don't like my old friends, I just don't want to fuck this up. I want to stay clean for the rest of my life, hope you stay clean and happy!
The sugar thing....I think this is my problem...47 days sober and a big sugar craving and I'm sleeping 12 sometimes 16 hours....it's winter...but wow am I sleeping alot lately. It's not everyday....3 days so active and then may be tired for another 3. But I'm hanging in there....when I'm active I feel freat!!!...it's winter so part of it is a combination of cold...lack of sun exc.
thanks kevin you said you would talk about this subject . you're a man of your word big thank you.keep up all you're good work and vids etc.top man.god bless you
I had a sleep problem before I stopped drinking ,I try many times to stop drinking,am trying again to stop only 4 day into it,big test Saturday and Sunday wish me luck ty
I stopped cold turkey a month ago after drinking almost daily for my entire adult life. I am 69. I have been exhausted. I was surprised with this side effect. Hope it goes soon . I’m sleeping just ok.
For me it's the exact opposite. I always felt tired when I drank daily and excessively. No motivation or energy most days to do anything productive except waste time messing around. Since I drastically cut back and have alcohol free days and weeks my energy level, vitality and health have improved dramatically. No red puffy eyes was the first sign. My eyes look brighter and my skin healthier even after a few weeks. I have the energy to exercise and have become far more work productive. When you are in the full grip of chronic alcohol dependency you often don't realise the impact it has on your health and life. For years I attributed pains, memory problems, weight and sleep problems etc to my age or some illness...little did I realise it was the alcohol doing all that...it's amazing how quickly the body recovers though and how much better you start to feel and look once you stop excessive drinking.
I felt tired in the late days of drinking and the early days of sobriety. They're different kinds of tired thought. The drinking tired was more an agitated, debilitating kind. The sober tired was more a relaxing and peaceful type.
Truly amazing information and mindset. I've tried to quit so many times with no avail. I'm 37 and have been a drinker starting as a teenager in Jamaica drinking rum punch and rum cream....no cravings allowed 😄 Kevin really helped me sooo mich and I'm almost a month sober and feel so much better already. I'm Getting compliments everywhere and better results creatively and professionally, even my poker game is better 😎 Awesome channel & truly life changing advice
Great video. Three months clean of alcohol and been suffering with chronic tiredness. Even though I've been consistently living a healthy lifestyle. Gym, dieting, taking vitamins and minerals daily etc. Two hour naps in the afternoons and still tired afterwards. It's been quite concerning. Now I can see that its the body healing itself over a period of time. Because we take for granted just how much impact alcohol and refined sugars has on our body.
Your videos are fantastic Kevin and you give out plenty of free advice via these :) I purchased the 30 day plan and hang loose without booze both well worth every penny. You've basically saved my life. Thank you for all you do :)
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I’ve been watching your videos and have chosen today to quit. I made a big discovery about my diet . Lies I’ve been told all my life about what to eat. I discovered the keto diet which made a massive improvement to my tummy and general fat and improved health. Worth a look.....🙏
Agree with the better food for a better brain philosophy however I quit drinking heavy and smoking at once damn I'm going to enjoy a king-size chocolate bar on the regular. I have a fairly physical job so I guess it helps and plus i dabble in the gym on occasion but from my point of view I'm not giving up those simple pleasures like chocolate no way. Every case is different though, Kevin you are looking fantastic atm what a difference sobriety and sun can make on someone. God bless everyone.
Thank you very much for the video. I am struggling with the tiredness as of right now. This answer the question of why I was tired and it must be the detox out of my body I am only three weeks. But I don't care I am going to do this for myself and my family. Thank you very much again.
The palpitations should be decreasing and the anxiety.....got to be better than when you are drinking... over time it will come good. Did for me and it's so much better than before.
Interesting ! I know that I have alcohol problems but have not been able to do anything about it yet , but I will try continue to listen to more inspiring words like this from those who have experience of stop drinking, so maybe I will reach that goal also. For me Helth care have failed. In my case I believe speech like this justifies better than health care . We'll see! Thank you very much!
I've found it easier to give up alcohol than caffeine...when I tried to give up caffeine as well, the headaches were intense! I'm keeping the coffee ☕ 😌 😋
Coffee can be a cruel b!tch haha ….similar to alcohol , it takes more and more to get the effect …pretty soon people are crackheads for it. I am quitting starting tomorrow …I’ve gotten to where I’ve been having about 5 to 7 cups until 2:00 in the afternoon. I was so much healthier when I quit the big threw all together (alcohol , ciggs, coffee )…a little green tea is ok. Looking forward to getting into the shape of my life again ….will take a few months
Godsend... I am at my six-month mark lately eating more chocolate though I've never been a massive fan, I have become depressed back to terrible sleeping ..the sugar in the wine the sugar in the chocolate! A downside is a lower sex drive, I only realized I was always buzzed to be free forming. I'm working on that with the hubbies support :)... The plus 11 kg weight loss and look and feel younger. Living without the shame of being stuck in the booze haze has been life-changing and life-saving.
No. I am 16 days into no drinking and I feel great. Mind you, the first thing I do in the morning is go to the gym and get .5 hours on the stairs, then .5 hours of weights. I do not eat processed food and also go for a walk after work. At night I fall asleep very well - I am exhausted. My suggestion is to get very active to the point where vidorous exercise every day is like waking up and breathing. Best of luck to all of you. I know the full spectrum of feelings including getting a DUI, losing my job etc.
12 years I drank 1/2 5th to a 5th every night. I am 6 days into not drinking and barely no cravings and the reason is becuase I have been eating 5-6 servings of boiled potatoes a days with just a little salt. It is incredible
Ouch. One hour's sleep. I have nights out with friends and have soft drinks and water, no booze and STILL feel rough when I sleep at 6am and wake at 11am. I felt less rough when I WAS drinking and finished a night out.
Whats interesting is I stopped drinking a couple of days ago and never got this severe type of fatigue. I usually get a little bit, but it was getting intense. Starting getting body aches and coughs too, just tested and i'm positive for covid. That'll definitely start me on a clean slate lol
I wish it was just tiredeness for me but its high anxiety and hopelessness. Everyday struggling and never can relax, only odd moments of calm. 2 and a half months now and still not out of the woods but its better than it was.
Thank you so much for these videos. I am going to join the community next week. I am very worried about the timing to quit drinking with the holidays coming. Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, the stress...please help.
I was tired maybe more than year after I finished drinking before body was getting liquids back or water then slowly sweating disappeared and pains from stomach and bones but it's worth it I Think then I was drinking maybe 10 years straight and I had bad withdrawals but then again what to expect after bottle of vodka and box of beers every day? I couldn't walk properly anymore alcohol can really leave you paralyzed after years of drinking.
longtime 6-7 a day beer drinker occasional vodka for 30 years. walk 3+ hours per wk. got food poisioning from a bagged salad 20 days ago - only sick for 24hrs, but completely lost desire to drink. have not had any alcohol since, but the sobriety fatigue is ongoing and terrible. If u have sleep disruption from quitting alcohol please look n2 magnesium glycinate, it's over the counter not expensive. only thing I have found that works, and I have tried Sominex and all others. you tube it....has many benefits blood pressure heart type2 diabetes etc. This sobriety fatigue though...... ugh :(
Check if you have apnea , magnesium deficiency, and diet. Helps with the sleep. I've gone almost 3 days insomnia... Maybe a few hrs. Good luck and keep it up.

Same mate, I'm only on my 9th day, very tired most of the time. Did you still get headaches after the first week or so?
@edmundblackaddercoc8522
Hey, no headaches just this darn fatigue, it seems to be hitting be earlier in the day now.
God bless.
Shoutout to all the people who keep on keeping on and doing it one day at a time. You got this !
It's been 5 years since this comment. How are you doing?
Cutting back, drinking in moderation, doesn't work for me. Its all or nothing for me.
You can and should face yourself. You’ll begin to feel normal self esteem when you quit.
Read Allen Carr The Easy Way to stop drinking. It's helping!
Your liver is crying out. Stop. 2 months here and I’ll not go back to daily “happy” hours. Bf drinks every day and I’m disgusted how quickly his speech slurs and eyes get squinty and I can’t have a conversation with him. Ickkkk hell no.
You got this you can do it keep fighting
I like your perception as you see yourself as being punished for poisoning your body for many years.
From a professional standpoint, everything you say is brilliant and correct. Thank you.
Thankyou
& ya, trading the booze for smoothies, water, juice & tea etc has a dramatic impact on our body & mind
My addiction counselor feels that our brains are now operating properly (57 days sober), and that too, along with healing our bodies can make us feel very tired.
One month of no alcohol and I spend my weekends resting, so yes fatigue may be a side effect for some
Great videos! Calming voice. Im just on my 4th day of sobriety. Im encouraged by your content! Thanks!
Hope your still clean, I'm on day 18 and no real cravings so far, I'm just an idiot binge drinker that fucks my life when I'm drunk!
I hope your both well day 4 for me
I'm about a month in and I'm not having trouble going to bed when I get off of work because I'm usually very tired but I'm noticing now that I'm not drinking I'm waking up far earlier. I used to sleep for 9 or 10 hours and now that I'm sober my body is waking itself up after about 4 hours of sleep. I just want to get it a little closer to 7 hours
Haven't had a drink since July 2nd
Got two solid weeks under my belt. Going for another two weeks. Then months and years.
I feel like a long walk this morning !! Love it.
Hoping you all the best mate.
Thanks man , Coming up on 3weeks after this weekend.
Feeling pretty good wake up early in the mornings.
Noy Tanks right there with you!
Hope you're still going strong!!🙏
I'm 3weeks, cold turkey!!
I am so ready to quit for good. I am going to check in every day to see how people are doing. I know I can do this and seeing others with the same problem gives me a better chance.
Read the easy way to stop drinking by Allen Carr
So did u quit?🙏
I'm trying....3rd week, cold turkey!!! hope all is 👍with u!!
@@ceciliamaldonado9320Sadly Kevin died after a 6 week drunken binge. 😢 #RIP
You have a beautiful way about you! Thanks for all the videos! You have helped me a lot!
I'm about 21 days now. I drink a lot of fruit juice. I've stopped snoring. But I have to stay up late to get tired enough to sleep.
From what I’ve researched fruit juice is terrible for the liver it’s all fructose . Even fruit is high with the exception of berries .
I don't know why, but I always feel great after quitting. Maybe because I finally feel back in control and feel positive about this change in my life, getting back to working out, getting my life in order...
Are you still sober? Congrats if so, if not try again, you'll get there eventually ....
Understand about suger but 1st 3 months you will get suger cravings so you need to suger up for couple months easy doez it mate
You know.... waking up at four am is actually quite beautiful when you're not full of booze. It bothered me a lot, then I got used to making a cup of tea and appreciating the beautiful silence of the world......
Bananas are rich in magnesium which helps you sleep and is a repair nutrient. Great video, 4 days today feeling better day by day . Thanks Kevin
I'm exactly the same.
I am the same way!!!! Lets keep sober...we can have such a better quality of life.
I'm the same unfortunately...addictive personality...I live alone and can't keep any of these things in the house ..no discipline 😑
The man is right on point. Great advice ✅
14 days i have no alcohol.I feel tired.mylegs are heavy.i cry often to release anxiety...I feel more aware, my skin is better.i wake up 4:30 anxious but ok
If you quit then start again, its two steps back. Now ive quit , never gonna drink again, im on day 8. Feel good though
Definitely tired, bout 9 days sober. Good to hear it's common.
Thank you for addressing this importan but overlooked part of recovery.
thanks kevin you said you would talk about this subject . you're a man of your word big thank you.keep up all you're good work and vids etc.top man.god bless you
Great advice I'm very calm after looking at your videos
OMG, I feel so tired and I have just 5 days sober. We have to stay sober no matter what.
Same for me. 5th day in and all i want to do is make my bed my best friend. 😴 💤 💤....
It's because your body needs to heal and recover
I had a sleep problem before I stopped drinking ,I try many times to stop drinking,am trying again to stop only 4 day into it,big test Saturday and Sunday wish me luck ty
I now have a much better understanding of the detox process... looking forward to feeling better in a few months 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I stopped cold turkey a month ago after drinking almost daily for my entire adult life. I am 69. I have been exhausted. I was surprised with this side effect. Hope it goes soon . I’m sleeping just ok.
Your body recovering and deep cleaning, I believe :) Best of luck with it
Ya’ll should try this.. banana, peanut butter, lil honey, ice, low fat milk.. blended.. its better then any shake I have ever had.. delicious
Paul and Ancila same! Keep up the good work.
I felt tired in the late days of drinking and the early days of sobriety. They're different kinds of tired thought. The drinking tired was more an agitated, debilitating kind. The sober tired was more a relaxing and peaceful type.
Been sober since December 30th and I am experiencing moodiness and fatigue.
Me too
Truly amazing information and mindset. I've tried to quit so many times with no avail.
I'm 37 and have been a drinker starting as a teenager in Jamaica drinking rum punch and rum cream....no cravings allowed 😄
Kevin really helped me sooo mich and I'm almost a month sober and feel so much better already. I'm Getting compliments everywhere and better results creatively and professionally, even my poker game is better 😎
Awesome channel & truly life changing advice
I quit at 47, you got 10 years on me
Thank you so much! Quitting opiates, marijuana, and cigarettes also affects sleep for awhile after quitting...
One of your best videos!! Lots of good advice. I found cycling is great exercise after quitting. Keep up the good work 👍
Your videos are fantastic Kevin and you give out plenty of free advice via these :) I purchased the 30 day plan and hang loose without booze both well worth every penny. You've basically saved my life. Thank you for all you do :)
I would rather feel tied then have the crappy feeling of a destructive hangover which can destroy your career.
Probably the best alcohol withdrawal explanation ive ever heard.
Thank you very much for the video. I am struggling with the tiredness as of right now. This answer the question of why I was tired and it must be the detox out of my body I am only three weeks. But I don't care I am going to do this for myself and my family. Thank you very much again.
90 days out and still having the heart palpitations and anxiety.
My palpitations have disappeared since I stopped drinking...... Sometimes I would be terrified that I was having a heart attack. This is a major win.
Check your gut for SIBO, IBS ect
The palpitations should be decreasing and the anxiety.....got to be better than when you are drinking... over time it will come good. Did for me and it's so much better than before.
Take anxiety medication at night
Smoothies. Wild wymanns blueberries 1c 2handfuls spinach. (Fresh) unsweetened coconut milk, water, avocado and banana
Good luck!🙏
Whatever you have to do to stay sober in the early weeks , the mean thing is to stay of the alcohol.
Im currently going through this . The sleepless nights lasted about 4 days but now I’m soo tired during the day
I quit alcohol two weeks ago. I also decided to quit coffee and all caffeinated beverages and I am exhausted 😴
I've found it easier to give up alcohol than caffeine...when I tried to give up caffeine as well, the headaches were intense! I'm keeping the coffee ☕ 😌 😋
I'm on day 5 today alcohol free
Coffee can be a cruel b!tch haha ….similar to alcohol , it takes more and more to get the effect …pretty soon people are crackheads for it. I am quitting starting tomorrow …I’ve gotten to where I’ve been having about 5 to 7 cups until 2:00 in the afternoon. I was so much healthier when I quit the big threw all together (alcohol , ciggs, coffee )…a little green tea is ok. Looking forward to getting into the shape of my life again ….will take a few months
What a great video. So glad I came across it. I’m super tired mid day since I quit.
I don't know about tired. I'm bloody depressed and anxious
I quit -- people -- it's much easier and more rewarding. Life is much better solo.
I feel like i play a role in the walking dead now i have quit 3 weeks.
How's your sobriety today?
Filled with b vitamins and starch. Great idea mate.
I’m one week sober
Ouch. One hour's sleep. I have nights out with friends and have soft drinks and water, no booze and STILL feel rough when I sleep at 6am and wake at 11am. I felt less rough when I WAS drinking and finished a night out.
Cheers Kev ... Like the glasses !
Whats interesting is I stopped drinking a couple of days ago and never got this severe type of fatigue. I usually get a little bit, but it was getting intense. Starting getting body aches and coughs too, just tested and i'm positive for covid. That'll definitely start me on a clean slate lol
Approaching three weeks without a drop. Haven’t done this in probably decades. I feel depressed and irritable.
Start jump roping and apple cider vinigar
Day 17 for me and I still feel like crap, fatigued, and not sleeping well.
I wish it was just tiredeness for me but its high anxiety and hopelessness. Everyday struggling and never can relax, only odd moments of calm.
2 and a half months now and still not out of the woods but its better than it was.
Same Here Bro ! 1month and 1 week! And still feel anxiety! And Alkinds of Different Moodd Swings! How are u now?
You are making the world a better place!
Thank you so much for these videos. I am going to join the community next week. I am very worried about the timing to quit drinking with the holidays coming. Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, the stress...please help.
Thanks for this informative video !
I couldn't walk properly anymore alcohol can really leave you paralyzed after years of drinking.
i slept all day today and only 6 days off
HI Kevin,It seems to me you have woken up on many levels.
longtime 6-7 a day beer drinker occasional vodka for 30 years. walk 3+ hours per wk. got food poisioning from a bagged salad 20 days ago - only sick for 24hrs, but completely lost desire to drink. have not had any alcohol since, but the sobriety fatigue is ongoing and terrible. If u have sleep disruption from quitting alcohol please look n2 magnesium glycinate, it's over the counter not expensive. only thing I have found that works, and I have tried Sominex and all others. you tube it....has many benefits blood pressure heart type2 diabetes etc. This sobriety fatigue though...... ugh :(
Awesome!- I'm gonna save this.
Thank You for this video
It took me about 10 days before i was motivated to do things
Check if you have apnea , magnesium deficiency, and diet. Helps with the sleep. I've gone almost 3 days insomnia... Maybe a few hrs. Good luck and keep it up.
I feel like I have a cold, one week for me. My body hurts.
Day 42 still tired
Thank You! I needed to see this! 👍
Glad it was helpful!
