Thank you for being here and I hope you have a great day ❤
Good evening Marie Louise 💕 ❤. This Metalic tree looks so beautiful. Super well presented as usual. Have a peaceful evening 🌷💗🥰. Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
Gorgeous coasters with such wonderful colors,Ms Marie 💜💜.Loved watching the soothing process of making the background then ,using palette knife to make tree. These got me awstruck 😍😍💜💜
You are awesome bestie Marie-Louise ❤ I love this ❣️Some day I will try this too ❤ watching full as always ❤have a fantastic day hugs from Hendo and Rita
OH my goodness ML! These coasters are amazing! The tree swipes on them are just perfect and of course I LOVE the colors you chose to create the sky. Very inspired and intuitive. Just love these. 💙🩵💙 Thank you for doing this technique with me!!!
I missed the premiere but glad to see you in Kim's! Your artistic experimentation produces such spectacular pieces! I really enjoy watching glimpses of how you make magic happen!
Thank you hunny bee! I hope you are having a lovely relaxing time and you came out of the spa standing 😁💖 I know when I go, I have to sleep for about a day 😂
Beautiful colours! I am making jewellery from acrylic skins at the moment. I am a beginner but making skins enables me to practise techiniques and still have some beautiful functioning art at the end. Thank you for all the inspiration. x
Oh that sounds wonderful! How are you making yours? Funnily enough I had planned on making acrylic skins and accidentally made them this week on a kind of silicone plastic sheet u started using. It’s discarded from my husband’s work. Great stuff and love reusing where I can. How did you make yours? Isn’t it wonderful making art. I’d love to see your jewellery. Just fab 😍
@@Marie-LouiseArt I made some from resin cabochons I made, and some from glass cabochons I bought with bezels, stuck them on to the acrylic skin, cut them out, popped some into bezels and others I sanded before I stuck them on the skin. Then I drilled holes and popped them on a chain or a cord. I'm not sure where I could upload pics so you could see? x
You are talented with what are you doing! Keep going, and I want to tell you something! Never give up, great things take care! Don't be afraid to give up the good for the great! Youput all effort with what are you doing! Thanks for sharing and I hope my full support can help you grow!
First off I love The Coasters. And you can't go wrong with heavy iridescent paints love them. Curious if you mix them like you would for a bloom or you used to different pouring medium? Thanks for sharing never thought about doing a tree swipe on a 4x4 which is a good way to learn how to do one and see if you like it. 👍 🤩🤩💓💓🙌 🙌 🙏🏻 🙏🏻
Great questions Lisa! This pm is simply Liquitex pouring medium and floetrol (owatrol). The cells on this one were organic. Thank you for stopping by and letting me know your thoughts. Do low me know when you d yours. 💖
To quote from your splendid narration, "isn't it interesting how we use different terminology for different things?"......I share your intrigue about how we use words, the same word sometimes having completely different meanings, and in other situations having more subtle, nuanced differences. In this vein, I found myself musing on the word "swipe" in your title to this video. "Swipe" is a word I associate with a sense of rapidity of movement. In most of your previous "tree SWIPES" I've seen, you've employed a hard edged blade/spatula to draw the fluid paint sideways. From memory, this has involved relatively quick, bold movement of the blade across the canvass. By contrast, your deployment of a lightly soaked cloth for these two coasters, to mix the paints laterally, seemed to benefit from a much slower, gentler movement sideways. Not surprisingly, the respective effects achieved are strikingly different....the hard blade technique usually leaves you with a recognisable "tree trunk", whereas the wet cloth technique leaves virtually nothing in the midline, and therefore requires the "construction" of a new "tree trunk" using your trusty palette knife. Given the differences in the two techniques, I find myself thinking that whilst "swipe" seems entirely appropriate for the quick movements of the hard blade, "stroke" feels a more apt term for the slower, gentler traverse of the cloth over the canvass......semantics, I know, but it's fun toying with language to find words that fit with our perceptions.
