Beautiful bloom on the clock face, Louise. Weather plays havoc with so many things! 😁😁 I can see why on something so fragile it's best to start with a small drill bet and work larger. Artistic and mechanical! It's nice the hands clip off so easily, but I would need hands in sharp contrast to the face to be able to see it well with my eyesight.🦮 .👨🦯Great tutorial.
Thanks, David and Kathy for being here and your feedback, actually, and retrospect after I put the hands on, I thought to myself I probably should’ve gone with black, but I didn’t change it because I had the video already up and left it alone but I think I might switch it to black hands.
Louise, thank you for this great detailed tutorial , I just came across a whole bunch of blank cds gonna get busy. Love all your work. Thank you for your inspiration ❤
I enjoy the idea of your descriptive talking, while doing your videos 😉 you actually take the time to "show & tell" just what the heck you are doing or about to do! You are such a good teacher, and your ideas are absolutely incredible. I love your artistry, and your :just go do it," attitude, you are now, one of my favorite artists on UA-cam!! Thanks for sharing with us, I appreciate your videos...take care, enjoy! 🤗❣
Wow, wow Jude, 😘thank you so much!!! in my tutorials I am trying to show and tell in the briefest way possible, not just showing a video of a creation, because to me, it’s important to convey what’s happening so that people can learn and do it for themselves. I love to explain why as well for understanding. When I get feedback like what you just said it just makes my day!!! I hope to continue earning your viewership and spread the word to your friends as I’m trying to grow.😉
Thank you, Lori😘, I used to prime it, but I’ve discovered since you don’t need to do anything I just tape the back fully, including the hole and off to the races.
Thanks Darlene💙 for the backs I remove the tape and any resin and spray paint to finish! I show the back in my latest video…ua-cam.com/video/7a7nDcEjaKY/v-deo.htmlsi=bEaKgundRkg9ghNf
Thanks😘 Judy, it’s an 8 ounce Noosa cup, flipped upside down. I actually have a very short video that in a fun way shows exactly how I place it and how it sits on my spinner. ua-cam.com/video/5njiBXOop6U/v-deo.htmlsi=zfU9XV-mYOfvDg5N
Thanks Padma, 😘yes, the CD has a hole, but before I start doing anything, I tape the whole back of the CD hole included, and after resining is when I drill the hole back open.
@@cherylmckinzie6048 there are many there like this, pick the size you need for the clock you’re making. I don’t remember the exact ones bc I bought a big pack a while ago and I don’t want to link you the wrong ones.
Hi Judy, I sell these at the art store downtown. I really don’t feel comfortable discussing pricing here. It really is what your market will bear, the cost that you put into it, the stand, the clock mechanism, the paints… And figure out what it’s worth to you to make these. These to me are mostly just fun to make and use up paint that I otherwise probably would loose to thickening.
Me again. You should have seen the clock hands I made for a friend. I'm a paper-mache artist, and he need large hands. The minute hand was over 2-1/2 feer long. I don't get to indulge much anymore, as I'm a caregiver.
@@LouiseMcKayArt It was a weight driven, wooden geared clock. There was no face, just the gears. The largest was nine inches across there was two thick maple boards front and back. These held the gears. There was no face. He bought it a a flea market. He got it working, but only wanted hands that were light but strong.

This is beautiful and great tutorial for putting the clock together. I would have never guessed nail clippers for trimming them.
Ya think? You can use anything really, but the rounded clippers give a clean rounded cut! Thanks August!😘
Beautiful clock dear Louise . I will order in December 😊
Oh Nanete, 😘you’re too sweet. Glad you enjoyed this and like the result!!💕
Louise, thank you for this great detailed tutorial , I just came across a whole bunch of blank cds gonna get busy. Love all your work. Thank you for your inspiration ❤
Awesome Anna, 😘go for it, CDs are a great place to practice as they’re small yet they’ll give you a good result.🧡
Absolutely perfect every single time, Louise. It reminds me of camping in the woods.
Ohhhh, that sound like fun!!😘
Thanks for the clock demo - it is useful.
Thanks for watching Karen 😘and glad it helps!

This is cute . I live the colors
Thank you, DIY, 😘it’s such a versatile palette! Thank you for being here🧡
Let me know too, if you find this size. I often put small clocks into a larger painting. They would be about the same size.
Thank you, Rebecca, for being here and leaving your thoughts. I have yet to find a suitable exact size and I need, I always have to cut them down.
You’re hardworking and talented.
You truly put a lot of effort into this piece of art. Best wishes 🎉
Thank you so much 😀Sofia, clocks and coasters are my nuts and bolts!!
You are right

You are the consistent creator! Great works and always lovely.
Thank you Susan😘, I try to be reliable, dependable, and consistent.
You are amazing about showing your tips and tricks!!
Believe it or not, I actually do want people to be successful! I only show the way everyone has to actually do it for themselves ultimately!

You bet Cathy, 😘share if you’d like!😊
Love this so much Louise! Do you prep the cd first or just paint right over it? Thank you my friend!
Thank you, Lori😘, I used to prime it, but I’ve discovered since you don’t need to do anything I just tape the back fully, including the hole and off to the races.
Hi Louise! Love the cd clocks. Thank you for all the information. How do you finish the back off?

Awesome! Could you please tell me what you are using on top of the spin table to hold the CD?

Very helpful tutorial! Doesn’t the CD already have a hole? I guess I haven’t looked at a CD in a while 😀

Where do you get your CDs?
They’re just old CDs we never threw away, Lord knows we have a bunch of them, especially with my husband‘s stash
Where do you find those cute little stands?
I find them on Amazon. Where else lol.!
@@LouiseMcKayArt I figured, but can't find this exact ones. Do you have a link or screenshot? I have used others but those are so cute??

Do you find it a problem when the clock does not hang close to the wall?
I’m not sure how the clock would hang away from the wall. With the hanger in it will hang in the wall
Also, do you sell these or give them as gifts? How much would one sell for?
