Hello Kendall, here’s some honest feedback on your UA-cam channel. I really enjoyed watching this video. Thank you for creating this great content, really helpful. But when I clicked on your channel to watch other KDP related videos, I couldn’t read the titles of the videos - they’re too long and not displaying in full on my mobile phone. So I didn’t know what to click on. Please think of your viewers when deciding on your titles. Short, direct and easy to read is best!
I also think these people are doing those kind of videos for views. Nothing is ever easy. I fell for it too. It's the same with selling on Etsy, Shopify, etc. You just have to put in the work and market your product.
KDP is hard learnt the hard way and congrats for actually making sales because most dont even because 1st 6 months I made nothing at all then from May to August made 6 dollars but September has been great made 15 dollars and I'm now seeing growth...its worth it because every book that doesn't sell is a learning experience and one day u will make those 4 figure Royalties just keep trying different niches and things till u find what works well then develop that thing its why most successful people have tons of books but less than 15% make up 90% of their sales. I'm going to start my own youtube channel where I document my work soon will share the link in one of your videos comments
Im looking into it. I thought they said you need a great cover to sell the book, so need to hiring an artist for that. Then you need 3 books in the niche.
Also your first book will be bad and its a learning curve
Then you need to run ads, like $2 per day to see if you make money from it. The first 30 days you want more sales, then your book can start to go higher.
Also your idea works better if you have knowledge or interest around the item, or if you are solving a problem you had and helping others.
I like alex hormozi video about selling to 5 people. You give the product away to 5 people in exchange for feedback to make it better and keep making it better.
So the way for it to be 1 hour a week that saun puts in is by hiring ghostwriters, artists, and basically outsourcing someone to develop your content. But you have to make some sales first!
Im working on my idea #3 as my first published thing. Its a journal too. We'll see how it goes. I felt my other two ideas will take a year to develop or will cost a fortune to make!
Keep us posted how it goes. Make 2 more items and run $2 of ads for 5 days to see if you will get a sale to cover the ad cost? If the ad works, then you can spend more on the ads. Thats my takeaway anyway. Just learning right now.

I was interested in pursuing KDP for a while also! I did tons of research and what I was finding on the "successful" people, all had over 50-100 products listed and they were making tons of money- but it was spread out over all their different items... 😒

I got stuck in the Canva process of making the Journal. I have my own cover art, I just struggle with deigning the journal. Can you guide us through using Canva to create a journal to sell on KDP?
I’ve never looked into doing those types of tutorials, but there are some really great ones out there in UA-cam!
